Seems we don't have a thread for this movie. so here 's the second trailer
'It is a source of constant consternation that my opponents cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'
- Nemesor Zahndrekh of the Sautekh Dynasty Overlord of the Crownworld of Gidrim
Still looks dumb as feth, and completely misses the point of a good Predator story, imo.
"Sometimes the only victory possible is to keep your opponent from winning." - The Emperor, from The Outcast Dead.
"Tell your gods we are coming for them, and that their realms will burn as ours did." -Thostos Bladestorm
I was getting a ticket for this anyway, but this trailer sold me the popcorn, cola and hotdog as well.
I'm going into this as an AVP story that could have been featured in the 1991 ALIENS magazine, and I'm going to be thankful that my 11 year old self dreamed big, and will finally be seeing that awesome "death world" film where Mr Pred is the leading man.
And it is high time a large robot does battle once again with an equally large alien terror. I'm guessing the new monster is a product of the Engineer liquid from prometheus?
Oh, and has anybody else noticed that this year is a little throwback to 1987? Not only a new Predator movie but also The Running Man for good measure!
The good hooman behind this has so far provided Prey, and Killer of Killers.
He knows what he’s about. He understood the coursework, and his homework was frankly impeccable.
Given his first trailer for Prey came out of nowhere? I don’t want any spoilers. At all. I want All Fresh Thrills injected into my eyes, in the hope of a truly zarjaz experience once more.

I watched the trailer. If anything it almost feels like it's meant to counter some of the stuff people were saying about the first trailer. Overall though I'm way, way more excited now as the first trailer was....iffy. Granted that was also before Killer of Killers came out to show that he 95% gets the assignment so to speak

Weylan Yutani androids tho? Its like they cant stop mashing up the two franchises..
Sure, I'll watch this while eating, as usual. Not expecting it to be anything but mindless action pron though
"The larger point though, is that as players, we have more control over what the game looks and feels like than most of us are willing to use in order to solve our own problems"

I had pretty much the same thought, although possibly with a slightly more positive reaction. Given how much Dan absolutely nailed Prey, I’m pretty hopeful about this.
