Nothing on God's green Earth is as amazing as Vic Lamb's IG models.

Why GW didn't hire her is just beyond me...

If only they were in plastic.

Plastic is something she wants to work with somewhere down the line, resin will do for now.

Okay, checked again because this made no sense to me.

Apparently I was confusing them with the Eisenkern. While I don't agree about the Arcadians, I can at least see the attraction there.

Just speculation, but it's always possible that GW offered her a position and she decided that she'd prefer not to relocate from Adelaide, Australia to Nottingham. Vic also does a lot of work in Theatre, so Minis is not her only gig, and in a lot of ways it's not even her main gig.

And I'd love to see them in HIPS as well. US$50 is a bit rich for me to buy any more squads than I have, but if they were HIPS-prices...

No. She's won some Golden Demons, though.

I must admit that (unless this is a reference to something other then her female IG) I'm not particularly taken with Lamb's IG. Nothing against her personally, merely the result of a fairly hard turn away from any interest in the heroic scale.

On topic: so, did wave 2 ship? I find myself so lost with what is going on here that I have no idea if I should be looking for shipments or not...

There may be an update going out when wave 2 has been fully shipped, it will be along these lines no doubt:

I think most / all of the drop ship wave 2 stuff has gone out. Mine's currently sat waiting to be collected from the delivery location. Though the order on the pledge manager doesn't reflect which items were shipped and the tracking links in the email didn't work.

I'm guessing she was in the old WD with her name in print. I must have stored it wrongly or something in the old brain.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I like snark as much as the next guy but seeing as GW has had Trish Morrison on staff for ages I don't think that one works

There's also Warwick's wife who has done graphical design for more than a decade now, Lindsey Priestley as an editor has also been around for ages and then there's one of the new higher ups in charge of the company.

Friend of mine got some of his in (metals, not troops). I'm really impressed. They're smaller than I thought they'd be, which is fine as I thought they'd tower over 40K minis.

Very impressed.

Actually, when reading some comments on this topic, yes, there was.

I should have my "big box" full of resin at the end of this week. Will try to make some pictures.

Really looking forward to seeing how the archane techno-lady turns out - the one with all the mechatendrils. The model just screams "Dark Mechanicum", and the zombie/servitor unit works perfectly with her.

That's the figure that pulled me in, more than any others.
Naturally it's one of the last ones to be sent. That's my luck when it comes to miniatures- I collect Sisters of Battle so I'm used to feeling left out

I got a box yesterday. I'll open it within a couple of weeks. Probably. I just find it hard to make myself care about long-delayed kickstarters much any more.

Lol, then your apathy powers are far beyond mine. The moment a box of unopened minis is in my presence, the cost of obtaining them is completely forgotten. (Which isn't to say I haven't opened a couple boxes only to have my crushing disappointment return and see said box shelved for an indefinite period.)

So... for someone who thinks these models are cool as hell looking (but wont touch Kickstarter or even look at it due to previous issues), does anyone mind explaining what all the angst is about?

Im interested in buying some when they become regular stock, and just wanna know what the issues are... without digging through 200 pages.
