I think it would look akward for a Broadside to have fins, considering its a walker.

Maybe sculpt some sort of gyroesue thing, or do something to the legs.

i like your idea infantryman . i was also thinking about something small & hightech looking w/wires going back & forth to those heat sincs . you know those things that cover the jet nozzles if it was a crisis suit. but any & all ideas are greatly welcome.

well it is an A.S.S. so you could always model it riding a donkey.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

Don't think wires running places will do--thats too imperial looking, don't think the Tau would expose that sort of thing.

Ravenlord, when I first looked at that link I thought another typical GW article:

"Buy the broadside, four land raiders, the Chapel of Sanctuary, and 144 kroot heads. These will build your advanced stabilisation platform"

Lol, I know what you mean Chuck, it's usually the case with GW. They show you a make "urself model" Then tell you to buy forty quid's worth of sprues, were you only need 1 part off each. Bargin!

Yah, serriously. Thats why I avoid GW's reccomendations like the virulent plague.

On the UK site they had a nice article on making some kick arse looking Cadians on bikes for Rough Riders; however the sprues they had you using only made one, and it cost 40 quid to make.

But we all like your avatar.

Someone else mentioned the Broadside being a walker...it's not a walker, it's like power armor with a floaty jet pack thing.  Fins, lots of little exhaust nozzles, an bulkier jetpack, all these things would work for me.

Standing outside Jester's house demanding the things he took from my underwear drawer.

Broadsides don't have jetpacks (rules wise or model wise), they come with those metal heat radiator bits to cover the jets. I'm in the wings/fins would make it look wierd group. I was thinking about using something like the new Venerable dread feet. Real wide with spikes that can quickly sink into the ground for more footing .

I was also thinking no legs with little vectoring jets like on the Hammerhead to make it a skimming vehicle.  Think of it like a tomb spider.  It skims, but slowly.

I've seen the Reaper Exarch with both weapon options and both look like things you can buy in sex shops. A weapon should not look like this, not even a Emperor's Children weapon. -Symbio Joe

Problem solved.

How about thrusters on the front of the model? Maybe something with straws...

Ah shoot... I think Kid Kyoto had a link to some guys site where he did some crazy sick conversions for the tau. One of them was an EXTREMELY well done 4 legged broadside. I think he did a 6 legged one too (if memory serves).
