I think its a little deeper than that tbh Dave. Ever since we were swinging from trees and living in caves there's been leaders and followers, the problems start when people "think". The moment anyone has an idea that is different it causes divide instantly, from petty things like land boundaries to how people should worship in a set way. It's the one thing that sets humanity apart from the rest of the ecosystem. The way I see it is, that it is an inbuilt genetic quality meant to stop population overload... trouble is, our genetics didn't take into account man's over reaching grasp to get what it wants no matter the consequences. 
Well that's my take on it, I doubt I'll be agreed with about this lols, but yeah, thats what makes us individuals after all

Ignorance isnt inbuilt into our DNA, all hate and ignorance is taught. Lazyness and fear of the unknown/dark is the only thing inbuilt into us. People are too afraid to think for themselves, it is much easier to blindly follow someone else.

I'll agree to disagree so I don't do my usual foot in mouth tactic of arguing lols. the only thing I'll say on it though Dave is if hate and ignorance is taught, who was the one to first teach it, and where did they learn it from? Chicken and the Egg scenario methinks.

i think both dave and childe are right... sounds a bit lame i know... but i have read and heard positions for both to assist your points... and i think they are even not too far from each other as well...
at alpha... i did a RPG char for a role play incentive a few month back which almost looked like a rebel pilot... will post pics at the ned of this post...
BECAUSE... i took some pretty pics for you...yeah!
was busy... came up with some nice and fashonista ideas for my medich... hopefully it is recognizable...still needs probably a coat or two and then some splatter effects as well...
and then some others...and for RW... sorry you liked the orangy looking bronze... it is now all brass...
so here are the pics...:
medich........notice the stain on the saw blade... the white apron...and some other smaller details...
shiney...now brassed up...
standard bearer got a white leg...
and captain...notice the red hue on the bionics...and how do you like the scheme of the plasma pistol?...also white trousers now...and a black bandana...
sadly i had to discover today that my mecharite red is now all killed... rusty and all dried out... i need to get a replacement soon...now i need to see what is the substitute with GW these days... hopefully there is a similar hue to a paint...or i am going spare...

Nice paintjobs!
Maybe the medic could have a few chips or small pieces of shrapnel in his chest to represent pieces of robot flying into him as he works?
edit- also perhaps oil stains?

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

thanks dave!!! tho i highly doubt that i reach this amount of smoothness... i never did any highlights at all...tho the next thing for my black devils...(the IG fellas...some with skirts...) will get some red devil icons on their shoulders...cross fingers for me not to ruin this...

It's pretty simple Vik..If it's too light add some black, if it is too dark add some white - I know, j/k
Khorne Red looks a bit more purple to me based on the swatch in the book- More like the red I used for Iron Man Automatically Appended Next Post: The lighter basecoat paint is Jokaero Orange. Remember that reds always dry a different color than they are when they are wet.

yup, coming up with ideas right after you've gone past the point you can do them 
chips wouldn't be too difficult, just a few craters with a craft knife or hobby drill, wiggle it around a bit, presto!
...but I wouldn't want to force your hand, so to speak ^^

took me quite long to get to that paintscheme... that dark red and the white work so well together and it is a very iconic look...thanks mate!... and well i fell better now for haveing dne it in brass instead of bronze... seems it is not really my color...^^
throw in german, lithuanian, and a dash of nutmeg and you can grow yourself a Rogue Wolf of your own!
stirr it ocasionally and then reduce it over a low heated flame and you are set... dinner is ready!!!

Something like that would be pretty simple to paint, as it is simple shapes (broken down a circle with two small triangles). Will look good on the Guard!

Hahaha, I love the medich! The apron is a fantastic touch, but he seems to be lacking something in bedside manner - He would not be allowed anywhere near me, no matter how many of my limbs were falling off
