my tanks are just the plain backsides of artists paperblocks... you know...tghe big ones...rather thick mostly but sometimes i vary the thickness of the cardboard... when i have used paper it was mostly to roll it up for some added details on barrels and such... the second tank, the grey one is pure cardboard... the frist one the big red one is insulation foam and cardboard build...

the problem with pics is they are always mouthwatering... so new buys and new projects develop from these... so any picture i am not viewing keeps the money in the wallet and the to do list in line too

worked on a commissar... i need a bit of guidance today from you mates... i am a bit unsure of the scheme...

same goes for my assassin... somehow i think this scheme as well could look better... where have i went into the wrong direction so to speak...

and then the new captain with white pants and also a new mini i haven´t showed you yet... a comlink stromtrooper... it is supposed to be of a Star wars related mini range tho i am not really sure if that is really the origins of that mini...if someone has any clues... spill the beans!^^

not a huge fan of the commissar's sword, but the main scheme looks good...
maybe all the sword needs it a few layers of gloss varnish to give it that "sheen"?
I have that commissar, but his stormcoat is dark green, otherwise being the same paint scheme. I only went with green over black because I was kind of fed up with painting black, me doing raven guard all the time

by the way... i started to give that kneeling character sharpshooter a go... you remember the "shrike" one? used some LGS for some gaps i made on him and now i primed him... will start to paint him tomorrow... mind if you share (again) your paintscheme for guard? he should be painted fitting for your guardsmen...

Just make it your shiney rivetto silver, and add brass with silver highlights on the power bits. Other than that, I LOVE that Commissar fig!!!

i had thought about doing just a metal sword... as it is leaning on his shoulder a powered sword would probably cut right through...

yeah, that's the closest I have to a regular guardsman on the interwebs...

It's basically catachan green main colour, brown camo for the scouts types, brown boots, silver weapons etc (with black panels if necessary), etc.

If you could upload a picture of said Scout guardsman, I could say what colour which bit is?

I reckon green/brown camouflage cloak, green helmet, black or silver visor, green main armour, brown or black boots, maybe brown shoulder pads?

Not really sure on making him look stealthy without him being all green and brown...

I like the Commissar, nice and dark like they should be. Sword kind of looks cool, but that may just be my biased opinion from Eldar.

If you do redo it as metal, probably a nice dark one would go well with the rest of the model.

at shrike...i see what i can do to camo him up a treat for you!

at RW...yup...that is a tank crew head...and it is totally scracthbuild too...the cloak is from a sniper and the torso is just a big lump of fimo really...^^

well he is either making small marine handsigns with it or as i modeled it for : is cocking the mechanism...you now? when you lock and load a gun...and he is not really a sniper... more like a stealth operative... behind the lines kinda guy...

First of I was not sure of the sword on the commissar but when I zoomed in it looks way better and looks more like a power sword , also is that a EM4 mini I see their middle picture.

The kneeling guy is he in the city scape or land scape obviously this will determine his fatigues colouring if he is in a city scape a more urban camo pattern would be needed, if he is in a rural setting then a natural rural camo pattern would be needed.
