Hi all.

Earlier this week (before I started on my Jungle Scouts) I did some IG in ze Desert, nearly done:

I would really appreciate feedback and suggestions on how I can improve them.

not much I can say to make them seem better. Except maybe that you stole my color scheme almost to the letter But still I enjoy the way they look. The Tatoo on the side of the guys head is awsome.
Alli can say is I wish they would come out with new Tallarn Desert Raider Models... I miss them soo much

Those are some sexy desert rats. Nice job.

edit: I really like the detail on the baldies. Tattoos on the
skull look really neat and you do a great job on that.

My only concern is the freehand lettering on the bases. It's
neat and crisp, but I think that if you're going to letter the bases
that decals would make them match the mnis better. But
that's my personal bias.

Thanks. The tattoo pattern is just some old flashback skills (takes me a minute or two with an 0-brush) from the time I used to be an High Elf player...

>decals would make them match the mnis better.

Probably - but I have a few hundred IG (and I try to name them all). Using decals would drive me insane.

I like 'em, but my only problem is the fact that the melta gunner seems to have earned his sgt. stripes

Naah, actually he's just wearing the sarges jacket as Sgt. Hawkins couldn't fit it over his new powerfist ;-)

I would end up with a whole lot of redneck sounding names "bubba bo bob" and such just to fill out the ranks

Nice work, the lads look really solid.  I especially like using the Catachan sarge as a desert rat, and the little touch of red on the las magazines is a nice detail.  Are there more in the pipe, or is this a one-off scouting group like the jungle scouts?  (I'm assuming the jungle boys aren't themselves the start of a jungle fighter horde )

Also, let me say here how impressive those carnasaur scouts are !  Damnation!
