Yeah, I liked the dirze stuff, never really picked much of it up, but have a bunch of the 'wolfen' (I've forgotten their real moniker), destined someday to become part of my slaaneshi beastmen.

Love Wolfen, some staggering sculpts there. Might have a spare pretty boy head left, I'll have a rummage.

Gathering Storm wrote:They look fantastic, Graven. That Violator is just brilliant, with that amazing Psnoiser which ties model together, and I think the way that you have connected the weapon to the marine is rather clever.

Now, the Thunder Baron! It looks brilliant. It's as though he was ripped apart before being finished off by the GK. Nice use of cabling and neat posing have created a rather cool model.

Thanks mate. Glad folk are digging the psilencer, I think I love that's it basically so simple a conversion. Glad thunder baron gets your approval; there's no colour scheme for them that I find, any thoughts? I was thinking maybe a reversed khorne, black with red and copper details maybe?

Charming glad Korea/family fun was had.

@ Miss Dee got the arm. Lush.

Wife's in the bake zone tonight so might get odds and/or ends done. Glad you're enjoying my demented output!

Mostly, on my phone.

Things have been hectic here, and I've had the kids most of the weekend thanks to Cakezilla, but despite just being back from kiddie hallowe'en party, some pics notwithstanding. You might notice that some basing has also occured: all previous done figs have got basing grit.

A bit of progress on my Sanctum Sororitas. Yes, it's on a cake board. It's going to get a spray of the magic stone (the base, that is), same as the RoB. Or, possible, I'll leave the floral-y detailing exposed, at least internally. Thoughts?

I was too lazy to take proper photos. sue me...

Slight rejig of a couple of models; better view of cake board:
Black Legion

...and Night Lord

(that's one nice arm, btw!)

And some work on Reiko's 1k son:

Yes, flash, yaddayaddayadda...

Skulltaker, struggled to get a remotely decent pic.

Death Guard for mabrothrax (now here's a random assemblage of bits):

Might graft a weapon of some sort on to the end of that limb.

Which means I have an Extinction Angel (who now has a Mk7 hoodie, but not a photo) to finish, and to start a World Eater and a Soul Drinker (glass ninja being indecisive again). Oh, and something Khorney for Metropolis too.

Thanks for all support gang. Apologies if I forget to thanks you directly - WM360, I got those pads, muchas gracias! - mad times combined with about to hit the single most hectic month of my work and home life (3 parents' nights, 2 late night teachers' sessions, 4 family birthdays, much coursework to teach, xmas shopping, thanksgiving, and NO chances to get to my games club :( ) so I hope to even remotely sustain what I've done so far!

In other news, I have Forgeworld promo boarding marine, was going to do him as an Ordo Malleus - but what to pair up the hammer with?

I am also trying to sort out a Defiler for making a steampunk spider tank a la Wild Wild West. Debating ork or empire - thoughts?

Later, my awesome posse,
graven

Ah, well. Now there's a question. I'm aiming to have all corpses built first. But I am determined to get stuff done.

It's been a pretty hellish week and there's no respite till Monday, certainly.

I have managed to get the soul drinker and (bar one arm) extinction angel done. I've started to assemble parts for the red corsair - the raw muscle possessed and white lion pelts - and world eater (khorney). I have also been working on the Sanctum, adding rubble etc. need to track down a cannoness to be a broken statue. Planning on doing a csm corpse in there too, possibly/also a crashed biker as bit of terrain.

So everything's in the garage, ready to get sprayed. I'll get the last couple done, add some apothecary pouches to the Flawless Host csm (knew of forgotten something), though unlikely to get done soon alas. More cake, birthdays all weekend - hell, I'm looking forward to Monday...

Hey Ho troops, thanks for tuning in and listing to my whining

I have seen a beautiful Ork walker using the defiler kit, they put a large 'aft' deck on the back, and it ended up looking like a giant spider, just beautiful. So, Orks work with the legs VERY well.

Mad month continues; it's my #1 son's birthday tomorrow, so further craziness.

My sanctum Sororitas continues to frustrate me as it won't stay on the base. I'm considering using polyfilla (spackle to you colonials) to make it adhere and create further rubble. The glass ninja's offered me some sob bits to accessorise, and going to use one of the double-sided pieces from the imperial bastion as a door. Sure I have another somewhere but damned if I can find it.

In a break from other programming (because I'm out of spray) I thought I should catch up on some very overdue gms projects. Cue obligatory rubbish photos.

First up, Weeping angel chapter master for Njal the Weatherman. It's to be a counts as Lamenter cm (essentially Dante minus pack):

Blade is going to have the obsidian effect I think. Needs eye and gem effects done but, getting there.

Also, a dw weeping angel for gitsplitta:

I love how the really high gloss black contrasts with the rest of the fig. Yay Vallejo!

And a side project for my gk list, a silly idea that I just fancied doing for an Ordo Malleus:

Silly? Or cool?

I shall attemp to restore normal service ASAP,

Good to catch up on this. Although for Daemon hunters they don't have many Daemon corpses on the bases. Or do you think they explode into a shower of ectoplasm?

I have to say I'm really enjoying a spot of painting again, and the joy of the Weeping Angels is that they're pretty quick to do, at least at a basic level - and part of the issue is time/mess vs small folk.
Don't get me wrong, I love the mentors dearly BUT I'm genuinely considering painting up my standard marines all as Weeping Angels rather than mentors. This is despite all the work press moulding pads and cutting off blood drops from things! I'm just sick of seeing such a vast horde of umpainted figs before me; I'd like to have an actual painted army for once. I have a fair few blood drop pads left over from my ba battleforce that I kitbashed into gk (yes, yes, further ironies) but I'd need to raid bits stores too.

Thoughts?
