Thought I might post my character's backround looks general mood and habits and maybe a daily journal (which will keep to purpleflood's storyline) if it's O.K with the Marshall.

Pfc. Nathaniel Damascus:

backround:

parent's home planets
father: catachan
mother: vardan

early life:

born on the hive world of steeelfall and moving to catachan aat age 4 , damascus
worked as a junior arbiter in 'hive' secundis (The only
hive city on catachan, also known as the 'big mess'
due to the fact that the jungle is swiftly retaking the
hive, inch by inch forcing the local hivers to 'chem-clear'
their yards every morning or the deadly catachan flora
may take root) for several years
before, raising enough money to attend the scholum
where he went for several years befor joining
the catachan 222nd

appearance and disposition:

damascus is about a head shorter than most catachans
being only half blooded, as a result of this his physic
is somwhat less robust than the others within his regiment.

his disposition is refered to as "wet-behind-the-ears" or
"noob" as he has never been in combat aside from quelling
the ocasional hive-riot (even then he was never actually allowed
to fight allowed to fight) or shooting the occasional death cobra.
his adoration of the emperor is somewhat more subdued than the
average imperial soldier but still exists.
just having joined the 222nd two weeks ago at age 17, he has not
seen combat yet and is likely to look to nco's or officers for
guidance (and will probaly be scared shitless in his first battle)

he attempted to join as a officer but did not pass. Therefore hi set
his sights toward climbing the ranks manualy instead.

he has a penchant for burst fire and exlosives

damascus attempts to make friends and acts good natured (mostly) towards others. he does though get into "antics" somtimes of his own devise and other times dragged into them unknowingly

Damascus has a love of helmets (he wears a cadian style helmet and catachan flak armor

also has never been drunk once...YET!

Damascus is his units medic

btw if purpleflood dosn't mind, I would enjoy seeing Damascus in exploits of the catachan 222nd ie se how he panics and acts noobish

Took out my first flying swamp mamba when I was six with nothing more than a thrown skinning knfe, had my first hangover the next day.

Aboard the sanctus mauve Nathaniel Damascus looked at the customized hatch in front of him and took in the details. It wasn't the picture of a pink leman russ MBT that made him nervous, nor was it the painting an adepta sororitas battle sister in a very compromising position either.

Letting out his long breath Nathaniel started toward the duty officers desk.

how do you tell wo's who in a battle?

do you paint the names on the bases

and if somone is "killed" :( do you roll after the battle to see if they are realy dead or just wounded?

everyone has a number, i do casualties by unit.

if the unit takes casualties, i roll 2d6 for each trooper, on a 2 or 3, the trooper dies. this shows that we all watch out for eachother

if the entire unit is wiped out i roll 2d6 for the unit.

2-4 3d3 casualties
5-7 2D3 casualties
8-10 d3 casualties

However, if a unit is within 6 inches of them when they get wiped out, it is the above -d6.

I know this sounds complex, but it works with the fluff. at the moment, but we have top medicae and are hard.

Sir, i think our dead should be remembered on a wall/list of death/honer.

they will be. luckily we have been blessed by the emperor with no casualties
