No no, it is *our* perception that *all* Americans go around with a gung ho attitude that is derisable and laughable. Really, it's easy to dismiss team america as downstairs body function humour (but don't mistake it for high art). It is in fact poking fun at us. Watch it again, the realisation will be awful to you.
I disagree entirely. Why is it acceptable to "stereotype" Americans yet it would be unwise to "stereotype" an ethnic minority. A certain amount of basic truth you say? Can we hear some basic truths about the British? Irish? Pakistanis? See where I'm going with this?
What about the Iraqi penchant for taking the incubators out of hospitals in kuwait (ho ho, what japery), or detroying their own archaeological heritage? Why focus on America? I see no need for shortcuts to justify a criticism of a particular country's people based on individual perception of character flaws. Short cuts make for long delays.
