I know this has nothing to do with Chaos (or maybe it has everything to do with Chaos), but I
still love the look of your Eldar. I know it was already written for ye olde dakka, but I'd be happy
to help you put together an army profile for the Dakka Articles system. Just a thought.

Thanks!! I just finished them and took them to their first tourney where they took best painted. Nice to get them in fully painted and playable form after 10 years of working on them in some fashion or another... Should we talk about any army profile in PMs? My homemade version is here: http://www.darkwald.net/Eldar/

Back on topic, here are some WIP shots to share of my Warhound. Starting to look like something.

I was gone for a few days, and wow that titan is looking nice, its larget than what i thought it would be, and playing on an 8x12' table, that sounds like it would be fun

LOL! Thanks for the comments guys. Makes it more fun to keep plodding along.

Tonight I put some more detail on the titan and primed the last of my figures for the army. Everything is at least primed except the titan, and that should be soon. I also got paint down on the first of three table sections. Texture and feel came out a bit better than I expected, which is always nice. Nothing special to look at yet, though.

Re your Thousand sons, you could go a blue/metallic look (either mixing blue and silver paint or a blue wash over a silver). Keeps it a bit traditional, whilst mixing it up a bit.

All good stuff tho, keeping a watch!

Time for an update - only a month left to go! The first of my models are almost done.

The titan is almost ready for paint (need to fix the bubble in his hip first).

What's left to do, minus a few on my painting table and the titan. A bit over 11K points.

One table section receiving aluminum edging:

And another based and textured. Needs snow now.

I am off to airbrush some base silver for the armored portions of my army. This will then have hairspray applied and then the primary color - some of which will be brushed off to make chips like the Land Raider at the top of this thread.

Hey really appreciate the comments and motivation!

The cabinets are handy. I got a bunch of bitz when there when the US bitz racks collapsed 8 years ago or so and that really got the collection of bitz going. Without some organization, it would be pretty hard to know where I might look for a part or idea.

The winged angel is a Lord Salan. He was made for a prior campaign and was an experiment with limited palette. I have rebased him for this. Here's a few older pics.

Unholy cow, you and your wife sure know how to put out some fantastic looking models.

I only wish I were a small portion as good at it as you guys are

Love the Mortis model's armour. Not really seen that pitted look on such a scale before.

Appreciate the comments.

I have been very busy painting of late, but it's time to catch up with a few pics!

First up we have pics of the painted 'thirster. This one has waited a very long time to be fully painted and based, but he's finally done. Perfect!

And some flamers. Figured I'd go for a bold, in-theme scheme for them as my marines and armor are more muted and natural. They're the raw stuff of Chaos, so fun to get fanciful.

Holy crap scarab, that is the best molten lava effect I have seen in a long while. You pulled it off brilliantly!

Where is your thirster's head from? You must have mentioned it before but I missed it.

The head stuck on his axe is sort of comical

I agree: great bases.
And I love seeing some of the old school minis, particularly the antique flamers and deathguard.
Great work here.

Diggin it all.

I like that the brightest part of the flamers is towards their 'core' or 'center of consciousness' if you will. How everything radiates from there getting colder.
