I am very impressed with the work you have done and my desk usualy looks like that on my long projects.

That Land Raider looks brilliant as if it's been grimly advancing through the enemy lines at a slow grim remorseless unyielding pace for several months, without retreat and without pause.

Just thought you might like to have a look at this, it’s an original print of the SM codex artwork I won at GD UK 2008 for my entry in the 16 and under artwork category. The piece is signed by the complete studio team (you can clearly see john Blanche’s signature in the bottom left). You can also see my certificate for my 2009 GD entry (the sergeant above)

All this was achieved when I was 15 and 16... I’m 17 tomorrow so I have to up the standard again this year

...well I’ll try lol...

By the way, where did you get that terminator head? on the last picture he's the second dude from the right. It looks like a grey knight terminator. Very cool.

I just saw 'Sons of Orar' out of the corner of my eye, and as I've just split my army Crimson Fists / Sons of Orar, it made me click on it very quickly indeed, and by goodness am I glad I did!!

Where does the head of the terminator w/ the heavy flamer come from, it looks like it has no face! But the work here looks like you have meticulously spent hours on them...am i right??

To answer some questions:

a lot of you ask why I’m so good at painting for my age... it’s all just experimenting and thinking about how to paint something from real life really small... e.g. with my tanks I look at rust on real vehicles and try to replicate it on my minis.. This is easy to do... as in you don’t have to go and stare at rusty cars all day long... just quick glances at stuff you pass when you're out and about is sufficient usually.

and some of you 15 year olds are saying that you can’t paint like me... that's because I’m 17 not 15... Trust me when I was 15 my painting was about the level of yours, there's plenty of time to practice, experiment and improve.


This is my DA army I painted when I was 15... The pic isn't great quality but you can see my standard of painting then... I sold this army just before Christmas

@ Imperial Monkey : it takes about 1 to 3 hours to paint each model, and the Heavy flamer terminator head comes from a Bretonian knight with the plumes filed off...

@ s.j.mccartney : that is a normal terminator head but with the sides cut off at angles... I can do a tutorial on how to make them if you want, it’s quite simple

I like your thinking on that, and as said definately look forward to seeing what you do over these next few years. I see demons in your future.!!!

well i just started painting XD. i've been playing for nine years! (yes i have been playing since i was six.)

Holy crap i am 17 too and my painting level is below your two year old one ... i am really ashamed here as i try my best on salamander army i am currently working on and i dont really catch up with the quality presented here... (and yes i have to work on my english too... )

These models are very nice looking

I bought a chaplain on Saturday and started on him today! I couldn’t stop myself staring such an awesome model so the terminators are going to have to wait for a bit.


Here he is after about 4 hours solid painting not bad huh?


Some more pics of him so far. my only problem with him is the imperial eagle on his head... this needs to be tidied up but is less than 2mm across so that should be fun.


Also had a quick crack at the heavy flamer terminator. You can see the head a lot better with a coat of paint. The model has only received the basecoat so far.
