I plan on keeping the gun...I don't want to spend too much time converting as I seem to be ticking along nicely and I don't need the distraction.
He also looks like an infantryman...which I quite like . He'll fit in well with his unit.
So...units.
I have thought about what makes a Mech unit and it will be made up of the following:
MECH UNIT
9 Tunnel Fighters consisting of:
1 leader
2 heavy/special weapons
6 basic troops
1 communications robot
1 APC
1 Mech
Each of the mechs will be geared towards the equipment of the squad they join so a close combat mech will join a close combat squad and a standard mech will join a standard squad.
Because I have a bunch of mechs, I will need to have a field support team which will consist of a group of technicians and mechanics, some specialised vehicles (like scissor lifts, flatbeds for damaged mechs and maybe some field workshops) and maybe a little bit of armoured support for when the technicians are working on the mechs...
All very early in the planning stages yet.

I've just returned from 6 weeks in Africa and thought I'd jump back into the hobby with my penultimate infantry unit:
I've almost finished converting the final infantry squad (a close combat squad)...then it will just be a small medic unit and the mechs to finish ...
