Zindler was on the back of a large tank. He couldn’t make out what was happening, except there was a large rumbling noise of the tanks engines exerting their force over the rugged landscape, but he pushed his worries to the back of his mind, and focused on the skull mask above him. Zindler attempted to make the mark of the aquilla with his hands, only to find he couldn’t move his limbs. He knew he was probably out of the conflict, and he knew he may never walk again...

mmmkayz. Arkus is now in the city to help pwnzzz the 'nidz. BTW, here's my sign up for those who don't know: Darkvoidof40k wrote:name: Brother Arkus Pallemon gender: Male (tempting as it was to put female!) Guard, PDF, of SM: Space Marine rank: None. bio: Exiled from the Blood Angels chapter due to a single, cataclismic decision that ruined him. He was a good warrior, but on the doomed world of Erkus IV, he chose to detonate missile silos on the planets surface, destroying a large Ork force, including the Waaagh!'s Warboss. However, he also caused the death of 30 of his battle brothers, an unforgivable crime. He goes where he wilt and does what he wilt, and still fights in the name of the Emperor if he can. Otherwise, he's guns for hire in the Imperium, working for whoever can get him wargear, information, transportation or whatever he requires. Now, free from the rules and regulations of his chapter, he has begun to explore more of his humanity, and is not exactly your 'average' space marine. Wargear: Armed with Boltgun, Bolt Pistol, Power Armour, Frag and Krak 'nades and a chainsword. Clickers: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/285958.page BIC: Arkus volted a crumbling wall, raising his Bolter and snapping off three shots. Two Hormagaunts dead, the last one leaped. His chainsword spoke, and with that the creature's decapitated body fell to the floor. As he ran for cover, he slammed another sickle magazine into his gun, and peared around the corner. He saw a marine, his legs mangled, the body lying limp. Creatures approached it, which told Arkus that his brother yet lived. Letting out a ferocious battle-cry, he leapt up from cover, blasting his Tyranid foes away. He ran forward into the Termagants, slicing through one with his chain weapon, and slamming his elbow into the head of another. The creatures began to retreat, if you could call it that, and, knowing they'd return soon in greater numbers, Arkus strapped his weapons to his belt. With one arm he lifted the wounded marine under the arm, and with the other he kept his Bolt Pistol at the ready. Dragging the other marine back to cover, he hurriedly questioned his brother. "Where is the fallback point? Damn it, now brother!" "Two... two clicks east... Brother, give... give me deliverance. I will only slow you down..." "As you wish. May the Emperor guide you from here on." Arkus lifted his pistol, and after removing the marines' helmet, let off one shot. He let the body fall, then preceded in the direction the martyred marine had given him. Looking up, more of the Tyranids were gathering together, under the command of some sort of leader beast. Arkus was no fool, and knew when to fight on and when to fall back. This was the time for the latter. Dropping a few Frags, he turned and ran like hell. (an hour and a bit later) +++Naruke East last encampment+++ "State your intentions!" called a sentry, from up high in a ruin, the shiny barrel of an Autocannon poking out from a shattered window. "I am Brother Pallemon; Space Marine! Let me pass, Guardsman. I have news of the survivors and I need ammunition." "Alright, go on." "May the Emperor protect you, Guard." "And you." Pallemon continued in, and gazed upon the shattered fortifications and weary troops; atleast, those who were still alive. He could see more dead than living. He saw a Marine on the back of a trailer, and was angered that he was not yet being treated. He walked over to the Marine (Zindler, if it's K). "Someone get an Apothecary over here!"

Afi ordered the tank to pull up into the motor pool at the encampment. They had made it without incident. A marine of the blood angels chapter was walking towards them "Someone get an apothecary over here!" he yelled. Afi jumped out of the tank and saluted to the marine.
"I didn't know the Blood Angels were on Naruke helping us sir" The marine just shook his head at this.
"Brick!, your in charge till I get back. I'm after some Lho-sticks," Afi yelled to Brick, his driver, His then dissappeared into the camp. The marines that acommpianied the tank waited for thier brother to get medical attention.

++Hello brother++ Salen said as he noticed a Brother Marine he did not recognize, he was standing over Zindler who was being prepped to be brought back to an Astartes Facility aboard the cruiser.
++My Name is Brother Chaplain Salen, Chaplain to the Red Scorpions chapter, and this marine has been wounded beyond any medical help available at this encampment.++
++My name is Arkus.++
You are with the Blood Angels Chapter? I was not aware of any engagements they were involved in around this Sector. In any event i am more than welcoming to see another Astartes brother, our forces are spread thin as it is.
Salen voxed to the squad sergeant to get Zindler to a medical station to wait extraction, there were xenos to be purged. He noticed that Arkus had left with Zindler, he wondered why he was so set on making sure of the brothers condition, it mattered little, Zindler was strong willed marine and Salen knew his soul would never be tainted.
Squad we move out in 35, re-equip for all forms of engagement. Get us some heavy support Salen spoke to his men. He was set on finding that tank commander he would have liked to thank he before he had taken off. Salen took off towards the armory to restock on his ammunition as he went about it, he also prayed for his brothers souls that would not make it through the up coming weeks of battle that there was bound to be.

Arkus looked at the tiny tank commander. "At ease, Soldier. We're all Brother's in the field."
Then, addressing both the Chaplain and the Tank Commander, he simply stated, "as for my chapter, they are not opperating in this sector. However, Chaplain, should you need an extra Marine, I am at your desposal."
The two Spehss Mahreens (SRM 40k) left the Tank commander, to discuss matters of their own. "As the last to return to this encampment, I must inform you: there are no others. During my travel through the ruins of this city to here, I have seen atleast two dozen of your chapter laid low. I gave the Emperor's peace to one myself, and that same Marine directed me here. May I thank him at the time of ending, when we will return. Until then, we must prepare. The Xenos are massing, we must hold out until we can evacuate." Arkus was not one to care much for ranking nowadays, and said what he deemed fit. Other's could either take his advice or leave it, it mattered little. "Do you have Thunderhawks? Rhino transports? This base will fall, Chaplain. I will be at the Walls, however, and I will fight as long as it takes for ther rest of you to get the hell out of this forsaken city. Do as you whilt, Brother, but that is all I have to put forward. Prepare as you will, I have other matters to attend to." He turned and walked a few steps, but looked back at the Chaplain. "May the Emperor guide and Protect you, Salen. Do your Chapter proud." With that, he continued on his way, and sought out the Tank Commander he had met, and he duly did. "You." he pointed at the Soldier. "Emperor providing my tactics are sound, we will be evacuating. Get the strongest tank you have, it will make a good spearhead for the evacuating vehicles, as I expect we shall be surrounded. However, I have little intent on dying this day, and any Guardsmen you can spare to help me hold the gate for the others to escape will be appreciated, and see them die heroes deaths."
OOC: To sum Arkus up in a word, it'd have to be arrogance. Sorry if I'm kinda being annoying, telling y'all what to do. But I figure we kinda need some decent strategy of pwnage to get us to page 5. So :d

Afi lit a lho-stick out of his recentley "aquired" packet.
Arkus said to get the strongest tank he could and as a veteran tank commander, probalby the highest ranked nco on the planet now, he felt he was entilted to it. He hoped he could pull rank on some guardsman or pdf and make them beleive that he should be taking the tank rather than going for out and out theft.
He arived at the motor pool, he went to his Leman Russ and stood on top of it scanning the motor pool. He smiled "that'll do" he chuckled to himself.
"Brick come with me" he said smiling "we've been re-asigned"....
Afi and Brick aproached the Hellhammer, both with huge grins upon thier faces. He rapt his knuckles on the top hatch. No one answered "Well I guess we can take it then," he said "Brick, you get in and make yourself comfortable, I'm going to get a crew for this badboy.

OOC: Lol, here's a twist. They find a tank commander asleep in the tank. Also, superheavy? Someone's pulling strings, that or this planet is really important, not that I see why it is. I mean, why is it? SRS! Is there a secret stash of cookies or summit? I mean, it'd have to be atleast something as Nominous as that for the Inqui. to put an SM company, Emperor knows how many squishies (guard) and a Hellhammer on this fraghole. ( 40k swears just aren't the same :/ - but I think I get my point across).

BIC: LETS GET DIS ONNNNNNN!
+++later+++
Arkus grinned at the thought. He couldn't pull rank on that Tank Commander, as he had none. But he was a Space Marine which gave him precedence for one reason or another.
He glanced around, disturbed by the noise of approaching footsteps. A Guardsman with a Powersword and Bolt pistol, shadowed by four figures, each with various Flamer weapons, although one had a standard approached him. "Lieutenant Gardinas of the 2nd platoon, planetary PDF. Space Marine, I have heard what you want - I and my men shall fight beside you to cover the other's escape. But how will we escape?" He queried. "If we cannot requisition transport for ourselves, then prepare to martyr yourself, Lieutenant. But do you honestly think any of us will survive? Maybe a few; including myself - Emperor willing. I believe we can get a single Rhino transport, but that is it. Spread your men out, with your Platoon flamers between your 5 infantry squads. You and I shall be at the front defences - the Main gate. We shall rally the troops there when we are overrun, and fall back. Prepare remote-detonation mines just inside the main gate, and set up as many obstacles as you can - spread out barbed wire, sharp stones; anything you can find. And do it quickly. I shall be the first to the defences, Lieutenant, and the last to leave. Now move out!" He barked. He then stalked off. He wasn't accustom to giving out order's, he was a 'lone hunter'.
The first thing he noticed was that Afi was not at his Leman Russ. Gazing past it, he saw several Chimera's, three Rhino APC's, a Predator Destructor and a Hellha--- now he knew where he'd be. He clambered onto the vehicle, and practically tore the top hatch open. "Afi! Thought I'd find you here. Assemble into position, your Leman Russ shall be at the front of the breakout - followed by Chimera's, then this beast. The 'Nid's'll probably be chasing the first vehicles, giving you a good shot at them with their backs turned. Techmarine Gavus will accompany you, I know I saw him earlier. I will inform him."

Afi looked at his "requisitioned" clipboard. Tiking off crew members when he'd found them. He had himself, A driver Brick, and a main gunner. If he could get a mechanic it would be spectactular. He alos had a few hangers on who would end up using the demolisher cannon or the pintle array.
He walked back to the tank. A techmarine was stood waiting. He introduced himself then clambered into the tank top assist. Afi couldn't hide a smile. The xenos will have a hard fight now.

Artifact? ARTIFACT? I SHALL PLUNDER!!!!!! BIC: Deyza be comin'. +++more later+++ "'Nid's at 4 o'clock!" Yelled Arkus. "Get into position! Hold the line! For the Emperor!" He raised his Boltgun, and fired. And fired. And fired. He watched as more and more of the bugs fell to his blessed weaponry, even the Lasgun's were bringing down some of them. Then they stopped. "They're testing our defences, stand ready!" ordered Arkus. "Evacuate! Go!" he called. Not long after, they came again. Hundreds of them as far as the eye could see. A superhuman eye that is. They came, a shrieking alien swarm of chitin and bone. Aerial creatures swooped down, their weapons firing small organisms that burrowed into the Guardsmen. He thrust his sword up, carving straight through one of the Gargoyles. Deathspitters fired, but the defences provided better cover than their armour ever could. Still guardsmen fell - at an alarming rate at that. "Target the larger beasts!" he called, knowing it would disrupt whatever control they had over the smaller creatures, but then he realised that Lasgun's would have even less effect on them. It mattered not, as long as they bought the escaper's time. He clambered backwards as a large Tyranid 'shell' hit him and exploded, knocking him off balance. A hormogaunt took advantage, leaping high and knocking him off the ramparts to the ground. He dropped his weapons and it stabbed at his armour, scraping it. One slash got through one of the weaker points of his armour, and the talon went right through his arm. He raised his other arm, and broke the thing's jaw and kicked out with his legs, sending it flying. The talon snapped in two, leaving half embedded in his arm. He stood up and tore it out, and felt his implants already sealing up the wound. Looking up, he saw the defences already being overrun. He ripped his pistol up and fired, killing a charging gaunt. "Flamer units - go!" Guardsmen with flamer's suddenly broke cover, and burned those that made it over. Arkus grabbed his chainsword, and carved through the head of one, and fired a shot off at another, asploding it's brainz. Rolling sideways, he reclaimed his Bolter, holstering his Boltgun. "Fall back!" he called, and so the Guardsmen did. Or atleast the few that survived. Again, the creatures stopped, and the defenders regrouped behind the second line of defence. Arkus glanced behind him and saw the Tank Commander already mobilising, with the other armoured units. "Get going! Out the rear gate, they'll be ready though!" Then there was a massive clang, and the Marine turned back around. A dent appeared in the gate. Then another. And another. Then the massive doors burst backward, sent flying by a giant monstrosity: A carnifex! "Lascannon's! Missiles! Fire on the large beast!" he called. Accurate anti-big'nid weaponry manned by IG veterans blew giant holes in the 'fex, and it fell to the ground. Three dozen 'Gaunts swarmed over it's corpse, charging. The flamer's fired, triggers bressed down tightly. Gardinas was next to him, firing off shots with his pistol. Arkus saw a creature leap from behind the Leautenant: another Lictor. "Down Leautenant!" He called, before firing a shot into the things face, but missed! Gardinas hit the floor, and the Lictor's talon's sweeped left and right - taking out the flamer unit's. The beast looked at him, malign intelligence in it's eyes. Then something akin to shock took shape on it's beastial face, as a crackling sword went straight through it. Gardinus thrusted up as far as he could, and the beast dropped dead, and the Platoon Commander had to roll to avoid being crushed by it. "Our defences are gone, Space Marine!" He cried. "Fall back! FALL BACK!" And so they did. But then there was a rumbling, and the ground beneath their feet erupted upwards, sending them both flying, atleast a dozen metres. Guardsman died, their bones breaking upon impact. Arkus was lucky, he hit a ruined wall, but was protected by his armour. Gardinus flew past him, screaming in agony as his right arm was shredded by shrapnal at about elbow height. Lifting himself up, Arkus scrambled over to the Leautenant. "Come on, Gardinus, you have Xenos to kill yet!" Grabbing his wounded comrade, Arkus sprinted to the awaited APC, and clambered aboard, taking a last glance at the Mawloc that had sowed so much destruction. Passing Gardinas to another Guardsman, he lifted the detonator, activating the mines. Countless Tyranids were blow metres high into the air, and the Mawloc was clearly wounded. But yet more creatures swarmed out of the crator it had left in it's wake. The Rhino's back door slammed behind Arkus as the vehicle drove off. "Faster, Driver - we need to catch up with the rest of the armoured column!" OOC: Viking, do us proud! You're gonna have to write everything that happened to your guys in that time, and preferably put some distance between the survivors and this cesspit. Expect heavy casualties - I foresee a long post being necessary for you mai friend. Good luck, methinks. O.o EDIT: Wuts the Orange thing on the big yella fing??? Whilst the fire fight was ensuing around them, three tech priests, an enginseer, and over 15 servitors swarmed over Zindler’s body, which had been put in an artificial coma for transportation and examination. A withered, tall tech priest, examined the wounds carefully, before stating
++ Drone, I request a modulating screwdriver++
At this, a servitor stepped forward, and gave the peculiar device to the priest. To watch was like observing a dissection. The team were incredibly careful in the removal of the battered armour, taking extra care for each separate bolt, and taking the time to carefully separate the power armour's generator feed by feed. As they were doing so, a battle raged on around them. They didn’t even seem to notice. It was only when the ground nearby bulged upwards, giving the tell tale signs of an incoming ravener did they react. Or rather, did one of them take its eyes off the space marine long enough to place an anti personnel mine on the ravener’s entry point, before returning to its work. As the tyranid serpent collided with the mine, it obliterated itself, and yet, the adeptus mechanicus didn’t even flinch.
++ Ok, life his chest piece in 3 ++
As the chest was removed, for the first time, they could examine the wound properly. It was not a welcome sight. A hole the diameter of a mans head was open to the air, and the black carapace within had cracked, splintered and then ribboned the marines organs. It was a miracle it hadn’t hit his hearts. The spine was a mutilated wreck, and at points it wasn't even connected to the ribcage, but rather hanging independently from the body. This damage was beyond eve the adepts of the mechanicus.
++ Prepare for teleportation to the Red Scorpions HQ, and fix him as best as we can. I want to see anything we can spare plugged into him, loot some of the drones if you have too. He has to survive transportation ++
The lead priest, whose metal eyes shone in the dying light stared down on the Marine.
++ I wonder, if he is ready to administer the emperors Judgement to the Xenos once again in this war ++

As soon as the gates went the super-heavy roared towards them, demoliser cannon launching hot death at the hoard trying to swarm through the open gateway. The hellhammer cannon belched death at the large gun-beasts leading the tyranids.
Afi was in the cupola screaming orders through the vox to the rest of his small armoured company and spitting hate at the foul xenos. A newly "aquired" chainsword roaring defiance above his head as he held it aloft, a grim smile upon his face.
The company raced forward towards the breach, Hellhammer at the back. Countless gaunts and smaller beast were crushed under the iron tracks. The company spread out at the breach. Hellhammer closing the breach so that none may pass. The company spat death at the enroaching horde, battle cannons speaking in near harmony. the tide was not only being stemmed it was being pushed back. "We got 'em on the run boys" yelled one driver of one tank, he then moved foolisly forward, some of the other tanks following. Once they got out of the perrimiter, The ground shook beneath the tank squad and the tanks attemoted to scatter. A new wave came. A marloc burst out from under the lead tank swollowing a large portion of it. a part of the tide swarmed upon the tank ripping through hatches and cupolas and taking apart the crew inside. The third attempted to retreat but a carnifex loomed above the horde ripping its way through the armour as if it was paper.
Afi shook his head at this needless loss. If only they'ed stuck to his plan. The tide swarmed upon the breach again, but massed firepower of the remanents of the company decimated the back of the horde, a leader beast managed to rip apart a leman russ. Afi Shouted through his vox bead "Ramaining pair of Leman Russ retreat you've done enough, follow the convoy path," the leman russ headed off adding thier firepower together at te horde for the final time. The hellhammer stood alone in the breach. All guns ablaze firing at the horde. "Sir" yelled a crew member "we've run out of ammo for the hull-heavy bolter!"the demolisher started to target the larger creatures exclusively. "Sir" said the same crewman panic clear in his voice "Co-axil autocannon is out too!". "DRIVE INTO THE HORDE, CRUSH THEM ALL" roared Afi chainsword roaring with him. Lucky gaunts climbed upon the tank heading for Afi on the cupola. He roared his defiance and swung his chainsword at the gaunts, they screamed at him in thier agony, fatal wounds on all. "HAVE THAT YOU XENOS SCUM, YOU MAY TAKE THIS EMPLACEMENT BUT YOU WONT TALE THE PLANET WHILE I LIVE" He roared at the foul beasts the chainsword winging in a crimson arc at the remaining gaunts upon the tank. "To the next checkpoint" he yelled down the hatch at the crew. The horde poured into the now empty emlacement. They had bought enough time. Afi Yelled down the cupola "Now techmarine," the techmarine acknoleged his request and the camp blew into fire and shapnel taking apart the tyranid menace within. Only a few beasts remained, leaderless they reverted to instictive behavior and fled away to the nearest leader-beast.

OOC: Hardly, most of us have either met each other or are setting up a meeting. No last stand for me unless I absolutely have to: I'm getting off this planet! (I want to keep this character, he's awesome)
Artifact? ARTIFACT? I SHALL PLUNDER!!!!!!
No, my artifact! Also, I was under the impression it was by Naruke west.
BIC:
Jansen moved warily along the corridor of the ruins, his new squad spreading out behind him, watching for danger.
The silence was oppresive, swallowing up any noise their feet might have been making into the darkness, and the noise of the battle behind them had long since gone. The darkness was so great they had switched to thier Night vision goggles long ago.
Sergeant Karish was directly behind Jansen, his chainsword at the ready. He seemed worried however, and whispered to Jansen, "What exactly are we looking for?"
"I've no idea Sergeant, but it'll have a Mecanicum Symbol on it somewhere... Why they'd stash it in this Emperor forsaken place I've no idea..."
"Why are we looking for it?"
"The Mecanium wants it, and I need a ship off planet, so I need to get it for them."
"Why not a Space Marine?"
"I think you've asked enough questions for now Sergeant, I don't know the answers to most of them myself, all i know is: I need to get off this rock."
"Sorry Sir"
A clang rang out through the dark corridors, forcing aside the veil of silence. The group jumped collectively, the noise suprising them.
"Sir, I just picked up a blip on my Infra-Red, straight ahead." said Private Urtock
"I see it Private, it seems to be getting larger"
"Blip in my scope as well. I've got it in my sights" This was from Scout Narko.
"Squad! Defensive positions! barked Jansen. The squad changed order with flawless precision. Now Scout Narko was at the back, next to Private Urtock. In front of them was the Flamer armed Private Saneal, and Private Salmoq. On the edge of the group, and nearest the Blips, stood Jansen and Sergeant Karish, Swords pointed outwards.
"Shoot that Fether." ordered Jansen. The noise of Narko's Long-Las rang out, and the nearest blip dissapeared.
"Sir, they're getting closer."
"Gak! Genestealers! OPEN FIRE!" shouted Jansen. The corridor filled with noise, and the blips started dissapearing rapidly. Some of them were starting to become more than just blips however, several pairs of arms and legs were clearly visible on the closest ones. The squad was keeping up its firepower however, and none had got through yet.
That was about to change.
The amount of blips peaked, and started coming towards the squad extremely rapidly, the skittering of talons on the metal floor was clearly audible now. The squads firepower wasn't going to be able to hold them off. Karish's Chainsword started to rev in anticipation. The first Genestealer leapt towards them.
"Flamer, NOW!" Shouted Jansen, as he caught the first 'stealer on his sword, turning round and impaling it on the floor. Sergeant Karish lunged sideways, neatly severing the head of a genestealer who was trying to catch Jansen off guard. The fire of Saneal's Flamer claimed countless Genestealers from behind Karish, and the las-weapons of the rest of the squad despatched still more.
I wasn't enough however, and for every Genestealer killed, the squad was forced backwards a pace.
"Sir, theres a door here!" shouted Urtock, as he was pressed against the wall.
"Well, what are you waiting for soldier? Go through damnit!" cried Jansen. The door opened, and the squad backed through, still fireing at the Masses of Genestealers, still being forced back.
"I'll see if I can close the door!" shouted Salmoq, as he dashed towards the controls.
"No! don't break formation-" but it was too late. As Salmoq ran towards the controls, a Genestealer who had just come through the door slashed at him, and he crumpled instantly.
"Hold it together Nucians!" shouted Karish as he and Jansen dispatched the offending Genestealer simultaniously.
The Squad continued to back down the corridor, pouring an unending volume of fire towards the horde, until they passed through a large door. Jansen slammed his hand down on the controls, and it slid shut, crushing several genestealers in the process.
As they recovered from the shock of losing Salmoq, they became aware of a rather musical sound coming from the centre of the room, behind them.
They turned around to look, and saw a large shape, glowing slightly. They removed their Night Vision Goggles, and saw it was an obviously alien artefact, glowing several different colours, it was circular, and looked like it was perfectly smooth.
What they hadn't noticed however, was that there was someone standing in front of it...

As the Techmarine blew the encampment to the warp, Salen looked down as his blood encrusted Crozuis, he looked to his squad, Xilith one of the brothers in his squad had been near the mawloc when it had erupted from the ground, he was being dragged off by two of the other brothers.
The squad heavy weapons specialist who was carrying a heavy flamer had used most of his holy liquid Promethean in the first wave of assault had fallen back before the ramparts had been over run, his squad was taking care of Xilith.
Salen now focused on the fact that there was what he now believed to be a rogue blood raven commanding Imperial guard troops, if he had no taint to his soul then let him be he decided but he had not quite been convinced of his purity. He knew his rashness and arrogance was more likely than not the fact that he had Dorn's blood running through his veins but still he would have to keep an eye out for him.
++BROTHERS PURGE THE XENOS SCUM, MAY THE EMPEROR PROTECT HIS FAITHFUL!++ as he vaulted from cover he noticed a massive tyrant gaurd charging one of the chimeras. In a split second decision he slammed into the side of the xenos before it made contact with its massive claws, he ducked low from the first blow and spun from the second swing as the guard smashed the ground with its front arm cracking the ground where he had just stood.
The beast growled lowly at him and staring at his cold skull mask, he knew what was coming next the death blow to the Chaplain in this simple beasts brain, as he stood back and swung with booth of its right side arms the massive claw and the talon the crozuis came up in a flash the talon was on the ground and Salen rolled to the far right of the beast in a downward arc of the crozuis he brought the eagle headed weapon through the beasts head and he simply growled back to the beast with a smile on his face that no one could see. FOUL XENOS, he spat in hatred.
++Squad move to defensive positions around the tank company, we don't have the time of leisure these beasts won't stop at just that, MOVE OUT!++

OOC: @Katavus He's a Blood Angel, not a Blood Raven.
@ Klawz Lol, just reading the previous post I was thinking, blips. Should be CSM... aw it's stealers xD
@ Viking, my guys didn't *TECHNICALLY* get outta the camp. Let's just assume they did
@Ghosty: I think you'll find the orbiting ship has probably been screwed by the Hive Fleet by nao'z. :(((
Otherwise they'd have blown this frekhole apart (new swear ?). We'z just go and fall back to the capital, get stoof, then run some more 'cause it's gonna be bonbaonbardled with 'nids.
BIC: The Rhino lurched as it dodged a charging Carnifex, crushing gaunts beneath it's tracks. The sounds of the Storm bolter firing ceased, interrupted by the tank commander's death scream, as he was blown apart at the mid-waist. It smashed through the ruins of a building, scoring great gashes in the already overworked front armour. Something lurched onto the rear of the rhino; claws ripping through the back door. "I miss my chapter's rhino's" Arkus commented, before opening the rear door, crushing whater was attacking it. Creatures leaped at their chance, a Hormagaunt lunging straight for him. He raised his arm, and delived a bone shattering left hook to the beast, before it even it the ground. He lobbed a frag, then punched the door controls. He heard the explosion, and knew there were so many out there it would've killed some. He voxed the Techmarine. "Do it, do it now!" he commanded. "But I'm still registering your signal in there!" Gavus objected. "How long do you think we'll survive, it's a fething death trap!" Gavus merely replied, "You are in no position to pull rank, Blood Angel." And with that, the vox crackled and died. "Techmarines... gah." He growled. Arkus spun round, bolter raised as the ride side door was blasted inwards, crushing a guardsman. "Sir th-aaaaargh!" Screamed another as he was torn out of the transport as quick as lightning. Arkus grabbed the injured Leautenant and ran into the drivers compartment, sealing the door behind. "Status!" He yelled. "There's a beast blocking the way!" the driver replied. "Then by the Emperor knock it down!" The Rhino slammed into the Mawloc at top speed, but the beast repulsed it back. It hit the ground, and the front was torn away by a vicious talon - it ripped right through the front window and out the side - with the driver. Arkus leaped out of the reck, thanking the Techmarine's 'Omnissiah' for such a resiliant tank. He ran, Gardinas over his back, his Bolter giving voice to his rage. His weapon had little effect, and the beast roared at him. It's tail swang out low, and he jumped it, throwing a krak grenade as he did. Luckily, it got wedged within the chitinous bone plating, and exploded, sending the Mawloc realing. It's frontal exoskeleton blackened and damaged by the explosion, it reared up, but could see it's prey no-where. "We're out of the perimeter - punch it!" Arkus voxed the Techmarine. The encampment exploded, the shock wave tearing through the Mawloc, and sending Arkus and his injured comrade flying. Arkus groaned as he hit the floor, and Gardinas slammed into the ground with a jolt, bones snapping. Praying to the Emperor, Arkus retrieved the Lieutenant. He voxed Afi, "Afi! Turn that tank around! We're still back here without transportation!"

Commissar Nikev (was it?) and not-an-Inquisitor Janson and the scouts are at the Relic/Artifact/planet-damning hoo dickey.
Chaplain Solon (I think that was his name..) Afi, Arkus and a whole bunch of less-than characters (sub charries) are at Naruke east, heading to the capital. By that time it'll probs be screwed, so we'z just go for the relic that we hear of or something, find some... Iron Warriors? That's what the hint suggests, so the relic is a weapon? Or a power thing? Or a boom? Meh. Ima shut up and wait for the rest of you to post. FYI, just for fun, maybe we should post what our charries stats would be on the table? Kinda no point, but I will, for the enjoyment of you guys if you can be bothered to read.

I'm at the Relic/artifact, and Nikev and the heretic scouts (yes, you are, don't deny it ) are outside covering the entrance to the compound while i'm inside. the artifact/relic'll have to be at Naruke west, as thats where its been written for the entire RP. Also, I'm going to write that the relic/artifact is some form of Xenos technology that the ?Iron Warriors? are using to control the tyranids in the sector. It also draws them to it, which is why they are in the sector in the first place.

OOC: is it ok that im out of the story for a bit, as my character gets all dreaded up? i CBA to rp him getting put into a sarophogus, or getting operated on more than he is already. seriously though, mah dready will be such a bad ass, be a hellfire one n' stuff and he'll pew pew you all to hell ^^
OOH or he could be an ironclad! and seismic hammer a mawloc in the face as it bursts outta the ground!!
OR a furiso type one, who will have a boxing match with a carnifex wth crushing claws (that would be hilaroius to watch)
OR he could be one of 'em venerable ones....cept he couldn be cos being venerable kinda insinuates you gotta be a dread for a while....
seriously though dready is gonna make a bit of a comeback, hopefully at the last stand/plot twist on page 5 ^^

OOC: He be a'jokin'.
Time to skip ahead some more. We all get back to the capital, where there be bunkers. Lot's of 'em. We be'z in one'o 'em'z. Tank Commander Afi, Rogue Marine Arkus Pallemon, Chaplain Salen, Captain Lathem of the Red Scorpions, Planetary Governor Parkus Merdan, Imperial Guard Regiment Commander Markus Troughburg, Techmarine Gavus, PDF Captain Otus, and Astropath Kleines. Captain Lathem has 6 Assault Marines, 12 Devastator's an 38 Tactical Marines left from his Battle Company (and 5 Terminators!), and Techmarine Gavus has under his management 2 Predator's, a Land Raider Redeemer, 5 Rhino's, 2 Razorback's, 2 ThunderHawks and a Vindicator (out of what is still functioning). Also, a Venerable Dreadnought and the newly interred Brother Zindler (if memory serves). Maybe Zindler should be an Ironclad Dreadnought, with Hurricane Bolters, 2 HK missiles, Chainfist with Heavy Flamer (looks cooler than Hammer, no? Up to you, matey). I think by now the fleet defences have been overwhelmed, and we're on our own. At this point, I'd like to point out these are only my suggestions, and feel free to disagree with them. PDF and Guard have... say, 5000 troops left? Civilian casualties: almost a 1000? Afi, you will have command of.... uh, 20 Leman Russ variants (make 'em up at your discretion), a Hellhammer, a Stormlord, 52 Sentinals, 7 Basilisks, 170+ Chimera's (with infantry), 25ish Hellhound/Devil Dog/other variant variants. Chaplain Salen can requisition, 20 Tactical Marines for whatever he deems fit from the few surviving Marines. Afi, maybe you have control of the deployment of the SM vehicles? Probably none to few, especially since a lot of fighting will be taking place at the capital soon, probably tomorrow (whenever we decide to RP that).
Ithinks Arkus, Salen and Gavus (with Zindy) will travel to the relic upon learning of the embattled forces there. Also, Ghosty, I think you should also play Techmarine Gavus (y'know, the guy I brought into this!) as other than in battle, as a Dread, Zindy won't be doing much IMO.
Hokey, provided everyone agrees, we can skip to after we have learnt about the embattled forces and restoked out stoof. Then we can head down to the relic, with 2-3 Guardsman squads, a russ or two (afi, I doubt the other commanders will want you to keep that Hellhammer, it'll be needed at the frontlines, tbh.) and a rhino with us all in. Zindy, maybe either stay in the city to be finished up with Gavus, or be transported on some IG vehicle? Whatever suits you, Ghosty.
Uhh, we in agreement? o.O
+++This is the capital voxing out, anyone receiving us?+++
+++We're hearing you, command. We're outnumbered and our forces will crumble within the hour! Send re-inforcements!+++
+++Affirmative, Guardsmen, tanks and Marines will be on their way to support you. Take no step back! Fight for the Emperor+++
