Thanks. If you want to smooth GS, just make sure your tools are wet/oiled. Also, colour shapers are a good start too. As for the Grey stuff, its called pro create, but its not that different to GS and is more expencive, so i would stick with GS for practice. Heresy miniatures sell it in the UK, but they messed up my last order and havn't tried to fix it. There are a few other places that sell it.

You wouldn't be able to sell the almost-Seth miniature as it's nearly an exact copy of someone else's IP. You'll just have to wow us again with another model.

Thanks for the comments, i realise selling copies of the BA seth i'v done could course issue, but a copy with a "twist" is what i was aiming for.

Even just the similar pose and construction would be enough for GW to start a suit. Consult an IP lawyer if you're serious about selling it - I'm not one myself, so I may be wrong, and the money you spend there would be worth it to save yourself from having to give GW restitution for every casting you sell.

I dont think im any sort of a threat to GW, and anyway i don't think i could sell enough of this mini to make any thing like that worth while. Would love it to get attract some attention from GW tho, id love to work for them.

Silicone rubber, specific to mould making. Available from eBay.

Just thought i would share the 1st practice out comes of a new technic im trying to get the hang of.



Detailed armour plating. I know loads of people have be doing it for a while, so i thought it high time i had ago.

What do you think? they are shaped to fit round lower leg armour for a side project im working on.

BTW, if you made the BA seth and other similarly detailed models and could cast/sold for even FW prices, people would buy them, my self included.

Its a Primarch "like" Marine.

The shins will have decorative armour wrapped around and the shoulder pads will be quite large and high guarded.

How long did it take?

I like the use of that head, The chain is the thing that i loved about the model the most.

Time wise, i'm not sure, so far it probably taken around 4 hours + drying times. The head isn't the one that it will end up with, i will be sculpting an more individual one. As i said before, there is loads of detail to be put on yet, inc wings + jump pack.

Hey matey some seriously nice poses,sculpting and painting you have going on here! could you please tell me what you made the head of the thunder hammer out of and how you did it please . the last mini is wicked another opition for the wings could be a set on astorath wings or perhaps better for the swoop look some sanguinor wings..??? just an idea but with your skills i have no dout you could make a set.. nice work

Ailaros - The Seth mini took me quite a while, i dont tend to count, but i imagine around 10 hours plus drying times.

utrinque3RDparatus - I was thinking about the Sang wings and pack, but mod-ed to look more natural and bigger. Im going to pic some up tomorrow, so i'll see what happens. As for the hammer, its just plasti card and copper rod, with some GS around the handle, nothing too complicated.

I'v tidied up my work room today and had a general sort out so should be able to crack on with not only my stuff, but my latest commissions.
