Neophytes:


So I've been studying the options for Neophytes. At the moment I'm really liking Brettan Knight arms for the mail, and light plate look. I'm probably going to have to sculpt my own bodies as I want a long tunic look similar to "Kingdom of Heaven". I'm not really sure on these, I want them bigger that IG but smaller than their Initiates. Pondering what to do on this his one. Any suggestions?

This work is stunning! Instantly subscribed. A couple of questions though. The first, does it all eventually get painted too? And secondly, the bolter armed marine in the latest update looks like his arms are too big compared to the rest of him. Absolutely wonderful work!

I agree with you, lets see some painted minis, plus the boltgun lots a little small, in all the other ones they look fine as they are away from the body, but this one does look a little small. Apart from that keep up the good work, lets see some tanks

I like your use of certain fantasy model parts. Very slick. Cant wait to see these bad boys painted.

Do you mean to big as in to long, or just to big overall? They are all using standard terminator arms. This guy just has his cut at the elbow so I could rotate the arm into a better position.

Oshunai's right, his arms seem alot longer. Are the shoulder pads smaller?

I think I mean too long. The arms look like they are extended too far down the torso I think. It might just be perspective though.

That is the glory of true- scale!. Everything looks smaller in comparison. It's kinda like having a girl with small hands.

Kudos to OP. The crusade is well on it's way. Something to note though, a problem that cropped up when i was doing my WFB and SM Assault Marines.. They were just too awesome for their own good, rather than looking dynamic they came across looking like the cast and crew posing for a photo op at the end of some 80's Asian tv sitcom.
Not saying thats where these guys are headed!! But keep referring to terrain and your regular gaming table for examples of in action shots together at random locations.

Lovely work. Your poses are so dynamic, which is really refreshing for Marines. You've taken good advantage of the opportunity that resculpting presented you.

And the Chaplain is great, but his legs could use a bit more detail. The skull in the chest piece is awesome: it looks like a reliquary more than an ornament.
