Same here, all of mine are about 43mm, Chars are a little taller.

I'm still not sure if I should represent my chapter's master yet though. He'd have to be adequetly extravagant. I'd probably run him as either Dante or Mephiston. He'd have to be suitably extravagant, and I don't know if I have the skill to do it.

I dont want to thread jack, but.......

Fafnir have you had a look at my true scale charater, its a bit like Dante/Exemplar.

Yeah, I've seen him, but he's not in the direction I want my chapter master to go in. The Gallowsmen, despite using BA rules, aren't actually a BA successor (I'm thinking probably Imperial Fists, when you look at their fluff).

The work you've done, in terms of extravagance, is in a similar vein, but I don't know if I could match it. Admitidly, I've only been using a knife and a thumbtack as my sculpting tools (I've been fairly minimalist from the get go... did you know that I painted my first mini with a sewing needle?), I'll probably get a proper sculpting tool tomorrow, but I'm still not sure I could get something looking that good.

looking great so far. I hope you do the arms justice, and maybe add some detail to the chest plate

I am going to do some detail work on a flat surface with GS and transfer it onto him. I am painfully bad at GS but I figure what better way to learn than to just jump in and do it. As for the arms, I have some already set aside and work is starting on them next.

He looks good, but you need to smooth out your GS more.

Where's the head from?

The head is an old Iron Warriors head minus the horns. At the moment I have no sculpting tools so its a little trial and error right now. I'm going to do another really thin layer over the chest and upper legs too.

Hand moisturizer and water helps to mitigate the effects of finger prints.

I use George's dry skin cream. Works great for my hands too. Of course, it's kind of awkward when your parents wallk into your room and see you sitting there with a bottle of moisturizer right beside you on your desk...

And I wouldn't say that. Really, yours is looking great already. The torso could use a bit more work, but it's already looking great.

Thanks alot Fafnir. I really appreciate that. I can imagine the parents might think that a bit odd with the lotion...

I use solid vaseline, I coat my hands when working with any 2-parts putty, it negates any fingerprint.
