I can think of two that were "odd."
The first one was Imperial Guard vs. Chaos Space Marines. A squad of guardsmen (I think it was 7-strong at the time) charges an Obliterator squad. No "For the Glory of Chaos!" or anything - just a pre-emptive charge. They roll enough hits and wounds to cause 3 wounds on the Oblits, of which 2 saves are failed. Oblit swings back - rolls all 1s to hit. Two fearless wounds later, the guardsmen consolidate. That one got a lot of odd looks and exclamations of hacks across the board.
The other one, which was really just an awesome ending to a game, was Orks vs. (as with the first) Chaos Space Marines. Basically, the schtick of the mission was that everything except for an HQ and one other unit had to start in reserves, and everything came on one turn at a time - but where they came on, specifically, was determined by the scatter die. The game was a slaughterfest from start to finish, and on the last turn, the CSM player sent his Land Raider with Kharn inside to the center of the board, hoping to avoid the 2 Warbuggies and Trukk of Sluggas coming in on the last turn.
Start the series of absolutely amazing rolls coming from the Ork player. Gets on the board the only spot where he has a clear shot to the Raider (IE not blocked by terrain). Trukk shoots forward, drops off its Boyz, and he declares a Waaagh! Rolls a 1 for the run - and then the Ork that would have gotten killed made its armor save. The unit of Boyz then charged the Raider, and one lucky shot from the Nob (5 to hit, 6 to penetrate) causes the thing to explode. A few Orks die, but nothing special, right? Well, the Orks manage to wound a one-wound-remaining Kharn with the explosion, and the only way to end the game happened: he failed his armor save, and the Orks took full victory points for killing off the entire army.
