Wolfstan wrote:Has anybody actually stopped and thought about the fact that she can actually sing? She is a showwoman in the same way that Freddie Mercury was a showman (and as Al Murray rightly points, part of one the greatest bands in the world ever!). She did a live session for the world famous Radio 1 Live Lounge and she could sing. It was her and a piano and she was amazing. If you actually take time to listen to her vocal range it's impressive, in the same way Freddie was.
So you don't like her flamboyance or her records, at least recognise that she can sing and put on a show. In thes times of X Factor I thinl we should encourage this type of showmanship not knock it.
I don't in fact recognize she can sing, especially in comparison to much of the talent currently out there.
You don't get to sing in the Live Lounge if you can't sing. I can understand that she's not to everybody's taste. Can't imagine she'd be too fussed about the opinions of a group of people who play wargames Each to their own.
I don't know what Live Lounge is. Its probably British and involves haggis. I'm not too fussed that she's not too fussed.
-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Why haggis? Only the North people eat that...
And Gaga's PR company is pretty mental so it could easily be them.

I was wondering when this would come out. Thank god it has a release date!
Yeah, not long now - we also got the film yesterday. It's pretty well done, though I look like Shrek in it. Ah, well.
The compilation will be out on the 28th on iTunes and various other online and physical retailers. Hey, here's an interesting (and totally unconnected) fact about iTunes:
You can purchase individual tracks instead of buying the whole album - y'know, just in case all the other tracks are pretty terrible. Like I said, totally unconnected bit of info, that.

Wait you just put "amazing" and "electro dance track" in the same phrase. I have to ask..are you on drugs?
This exact second? Dear god yes. New roomie, and she's been so nice so far I'm sorry, I'm rambling now.
Frazzled wrote: However, she is constantly touted as if she's the second coming of freaking Elvis Presley or something, and there is conga line of better female vocalists out there right now. Its completely packaged completely plastic nothing.
People don't listen to a female singer for her voice, they listen for her songs. If the best singer in the world is given a billion songs to the tune of Amazing Grace you probably wouldn't pay much attention. I've also learned that "overrated" doesn't always mean bad, the contrast just makes it seem that way.
Incidentally, I'm watching Lady Gaga's performance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend - I must say, I am actually very impressed. She sings live (unlike most pop artists), and has a really good voice. Also 'Telephone' is a genuinely great pop song. 'Judas' is still awful though.
I may have to re-think some things. God damn you, Cannerus. God damn you to hell!
*shakes fist*
