There aren't really any armies that I "hate", but I dislike playing against Tyranids (with a passion) because it's already pretty one sided, but to make it even more one sided, they'll cast paroxism on your unit among other things.

It seems funny to me to see all these people with cc armies going wahhh I don’t like tau. What? We should be running screaming from your stuff.

I don’t like chaos mostly because my good al mate plays 2 lash princes and takes out all my suits in 2 or so turns. If that’s not enough, his land radar seems impervious to my rail guns.

I don't hate any particular army but I've always disliked how the fluff for Space Marines makes them ridiculously overpowered but on the tabletop they seem almost... human.

Personally, I don't find the fluff for SMs very interesting; too over the top. If they toned down SMs and make them seem reasonable and something that I can identify with more, they would seem more interesting to me. Kind of like the Spartans in Halo Reach. I never really liked Halo as people always made out Master Chief to be this uber super soldier who can do the impossible and so on but after playing Halo Reach and seeing that Spartans can actually DIE, it made me like the series more. Does that make sense?

Blood angels.... IMO totally overpowered and djust decide to do everything marines do but for less points and better.

If they didn't separate Daemons, I never would have started 40k-they were my first army because I was collecting daemons for fantasy-I loved the soul grinder model, so I said "why not try it out. It's not like I'm buying another army...just extending one." Hundreds of marines, eldar, and random 40k boxes later, and I believe I may have made a mistake.

My hatred seems to stem from 3 of the books I seem to see the most in this thread-Tau, Space Wolves, and IG. Oddly enough, I hate all of them for their models. I think MOST of the Tau stuff looks cool...except broadsides/crisis suits, and firewarrior helmets/shoulderpads. I hate the SW viking in power armor look, and I detest the IG infantry models. Tanks are cool. Infantry...Gork could drop a steaming load on the table and it would look better to me.

I HATE and I do mean HATE ultrasmurfs. Not codex Space Marines; ultrasmurfs. I only mostly dislike smurf players. I'm a die hard Blood Angels player, the current tune of "space marines but cheaper" will change soonish. I can't imagine 6ed launching without a new C:SM. But my hatred of surfs will never end. It's an ugly color, with a stupid story, and upside down Greek letter. Just about any other codex chapter is more interesting; white scars, imperial fists, iron hands (gasp) space Romans make me gag. People who paint Crimson Fists ultramarine blue attract MORE of my ire than just smurf-lackeys.

Ultrasmurfs...not because they are GW poster boys but their fluff. Everything about it I can't stand.

Grey knights. Simple.

The one army I cannot stand, is Grey Knights, I don't like what they have done to them, sometimes I wish they were still just a squad of termies...

Player Wise...The SW Players around here are real cocky, they like to think their razorspam/longfang spam is the fluffiest around, and that Space Wolves are the definition of badass. No. (Not saying every Wolves player is bad, just personal experiences getting the best of me!

I dont like playing against tau because theres a way to tailor them to any way you need. At least orks and stuff have weanesses such as long range; tau have a unit for anything.

You know i did try to think about an army i dislike in anyway but it turns out i really don't...
I mean i could probably have fun making an army out of pretty much any codex.

I hate Necrons, the models are cool and the fluff is interesting but the army is one dimensional but very effective in it's one dimension. Then there is the Cron players that complain about thier army even when they dominate games.

Necrons. I'v only played a total of eight games and 4 of them have been against necrons. it wasn't even my fricken choice! Stupid tournies...

I really really hate GK, I play orks and no matter what I do I always get tabled. My boyz die soo quickly. They seem to bring everything that I can't stand up against. My best chance is to tie on obective games. Their fluff also bugs me.

And to a lesser degree I don't like blood angels, between the fast moving vehicles and mephiston and the dreadnaughts I tend to also have a very hard time.

Grey Knights and Blood Angels. They're [Mod Edit - Do not use that word that way here on Dakka - thanks!] armies which, when combined, encompass everything I hate about this game.

I hate the Necrons because they're a really bad rip-off of the 'Terminator' and 'Matrix' movies. I have 2500 points of them I think.

I hate the Vanilla Marines because they're lords of suck that tend to be blue, but I have 1500 points of Ultras that I take to tournaments and do quite well.

I hate the Space Vamp... er, Blood Angels because, well, they're red vampires (yawn). I have a sizeable army of the crazed blood-drinking gods of close combat which I bring out when I have a hangover at tournaments and just want to 'point and shoot'.

I hate the Space Berserkers... Grey Marines... Space Wolves because they're sickly parodies of nordic myths, but I have 1500 points of them too because they're uber and you can't go wrong with Space Vikings!

I hate the Salamanders because they're green armored, black skinned and implausibly red eyed slightly boring do-gooders. I just started an army of the guys because I think they're green armored, black skinned, red eyed knights of intimidation!

I hate the Eldar because they refuse to admit they're space elfs and you can't win with them because every other army is far more masculine. I love the psychic-tech they use and the vehicles, to me, are second only in coolness factor to the Tau... weeeeeee!

I hate the Tau because they're blue-grey egalitarian midgets with tech based on japanese 'cartoons' and how can a race in the accendancy have such a gimped codex where it's impossible to ever win a combat? My second favorite army! I have around 3000 points all professionally painted in a white anime scheme.

I hate Chaos Marines because it's just a bunch of 'woe is me' degenerate vanilla marines ominously wreathed in shrouds of teen angst and additional suck. ...

I really hate the Orks because how can you take a race of idiot savant mushrooms who live for war seriously? One of my favorite armies, how can you go wrong with idiot savants who live for war?

These are the only factions I play. The others are too full of suck for me to care. I'm planning a Dark Eldar army as we speak!

The Necrons may not have gotten a codex until 2002, but they existed as a race before the Matrix came out.

They are alien machines, and that concept predates the Matrix. Sarcasm is no excuse for inaccuracy.

It's not inaccurate, the Terminator movies were originally the source for the necrons stylistically. Since then, additional miniatures have given a nod to the style of the alien Matrix machines. Purely subjective, but I think I'm right on this point.

They never hid the fact that Terminator was an inspiration, "We'll Be Back" makes that obvious.
