Grey Knights, fluff-wise. Also, they're dicks.

I guess I hate the newest Marine books (armies), because BA, Wolves & gk are only single chapter and there are more and more players playing those armies and I guess there are now more GK players compared to eldar+tau+necrons+deldar added together. and its only getting worse.

I'd have to say Tau. I don't have an issue with most of the models or the look or even the game play. Fluff-wise though, I agree with Grakmar, they just don't fit into 40K well.

Tyranids. I can't think of a single redeeming feature of the army.

I dislike Ork fluff pretty intensely, the brand of humor simply does not resonate with me. I appreciate comic relief in a "grimdark" universe, and I actually quite enjoy playing against them, but the codex fills me with murder frenzy.

As far as playing against, it's definitely space wolves. Playing my vanilla marines against the other new marine books, there's usually at least one facet of shooting or combat I can use to my advantage (if not have the advantage in). Space wolves are immensely better than me at both shooting AND combat, and their psykers kick sand in my librarian's face at the beach.

Fluff-wise: I have problems with Marines and their super amazing plot armour in general much of the time, but the Space Wolves are offensive to me in almost every way, although, I may be biased, having just finished A Thousand Sons today, and will read Prospero Burns to give them a chance.

But even in their codex they are so incredibly boring and friggin schizophrenic in their supposed "theme" it's painful. Not to mention, I'm not entirely sure why they haven't been branded traitors. I guess when you're the Space Wolves, you can just plot armour your way through anything.

Tabletop: I can't actually think of any army I dislike on the tabletop to any real extent. Well, playing an army of pure Deathwing, all with TH/SS was pretty annoying (Do note that I caved and we used the 5e rules for Storm Shields) when using Necrons, I won the game, but it was still easily the most annoying moment for me playing 40k.

This is my issue with Orks. I don't mind playing against them, but their fluff and models just irritate me. Their humour is crap, the speech impediment looses its comedic value after 5 seconds and they're ridiculously obnoxious.

I HATE the tau! I don't like their stupid anime look or the massive amounts of plot armor they get all the time. Not only that, but they think they're the most powerful race in the galaxy. Their fanboys get on my nerves as well...

For all those saying I hate x army without giving a reason, cool story bros

In my opinion all the armies in 40K have a lot of potential, but come off as underwhelming. My big two are.

Tau first because it's the biggest, I have no idea why GW gave them only 100 worlds as they basically have no influence over the galaxy except preaching to a few Imperial worlds.

Chaos, 13 black crusades almost no visible results, as the arch enemy of almost every faction has become a nuisance. After the heresy they seem to just sit there.

Tabletop I hate playing Tau that basically boils down to my only opponent with the army uses almost the same build every time and I table it 90% of the time yet he never tries anything new.

Frakking 'Nids... At least the way my friend plays them (up to six or seven big bugs with some form of extra protection and regen or massive saves). Although this is born from my penchant (and what some may call an obsession) with Basilisks and various forms of artillery... I just can't seem to find a way to pound them into the ground enough to kill anything regardless of what artillery I'm using or how I'm using it. In 3 CP games I only managed to kill off one carnifax, a single zooanthrope, and a couple termagaunt squads. Maybe I should quit whining about my lack of luck with artillery and go play a slightly manlier army than IG so my conscripts don't shout "Run away!" at the first sight of a large bug monster. Oh screw it, I'll just keep throwing shells at them. It worked against Orks. Personally, I like the green tide. It makes me feel good that even if I miss by virtually half a mile I can still hit something. Or a lot of somethings.

I was fielding a CSM army in those days, and of course had fewer models than my brother, playing the Orks, because CSM troops cost lots more.

I'd also been on a Khorne kick for awhile, so was mostly geared for CC. I did alright, I guess.... but there were just. so. MANY ORKS!

Space marines. All space marines, including, blood angels, grey knights, chaos marines, wolves etc. If they have the shoulder pads, power armour, carry bolters, I call them space marines.

Pointing this out to any of the various space marine players annoys them I have found, so I make a point.

Right. They are Space Marines.

Yes they are the poster boys of the 40k world, but seriously, there are more interesting things than a million subfactions of space marines.

Ultrasmurfs...and not because they are GWs poster boys. I actually like the color scheme as it is my favorite two colors. Their fluff is what kills me, they don't defened Terra from Horus, yes they were a ways away but so was Horus, and then they come in spouting the Codex Astartes and turning weapons on any Legion that doesn't comply. How they were not considered traitors right then and there is beyond me. The Emperor set it up that way for a reason now Girlyman is telling everyone its wrong. Not only do they do that then they turn around break their own rules! No SM chapter is to control a system or sector. You can either have a fleet, series of keeps or A PLANET, but not a whole sector *cough Macragge cough*.
If that isn't enough they seem to be as far as possible from battle as needed, insert Armageddon here, and when they are they lose or leave forces on the ground to die.
In fact just read this:

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.

Hate is a strong word in my case, but it would be Eldar, only because of the models. Then again, I don't like elves in general as much as I did when I was younger.

I do not care for the IG. I do not hate them, but they seem like they belong in a Cthulu novel, not in a world with 10 foot tall angels of death running around in power armor.

The blood angel in me hates chaos, but its "fictional" hate, plus it helps fuel my sibling rivalry as my brothers collected chaos almost as long as I have ba's.

But as for hate with a passion, it'd have to be tau! Can't really explain it, just do!
