If that was the target, I'd have surveyed Throne of Skulls tournament goers and such like. As I stated earlier, putting a survey on the internet (or leaving it so it's accessible to people on the internet in this case) means you have a self selecting sample which can often defeat the orginal purpose of the market research exercise. So instead of a laid back tournament goer response, they now have the angry web crowd response instead.

Perhaps this is why they don't want 15 year olds answering the form

An extremely valid point. I'm generally more mature than this.

It appears that they are targetting older people with 5 years plus in the hobby after doing it once and then doing it again testing out different answers.

LOL one question: "Will you be spending more money next year?"

My answer: No

I'm not sure I even get the point. It's Games Workshop, so if they don't get the results they want (that is, everyone is perfectly happy with the state of things and wants more price increases), they're just going to ignore it and do whatever the hell they want anyway. It doesn't matter if you think prices are too high, it doesn't matter if a million people thought they were too high, GW wants to raise prices so that's what they'll do, and the only ones who will protest aren't the fanatical GW "followers" they're interested in anyway.

I too enjoyed the part where i got to tell them that i was going to be spending less money on GW product.

Its the truth. Prices have risen and i already have two full armies. I just sold my orks and my nids as well. Nids sucked in their newest rule set and orks, well, i guess they just required less strategy than i would like. If GW could tame the upwards slide of the prices, and start to put out more balanced codex (model spacewolves as wat not to write) i would consider another army.

It is good to see that inadvertently GW has given us a backdoor to at least raise a few issues! It was silly of them to try and have a survey which seems to be designed to get the answers they wanted to hear. To me it sounds like a feasability study to see if they can get away with another price rise; by equating long term players with their buying habits and 'loyalty' to the brand. My concern is that they will yet again raise prices simply off the back of their sales of Dark Elder, Gray Knights and soon to be Necrons.
I fully expect to see the prices of the Necron stuff rise in June next year (maybe earlier because of the world economy) and that for example any box set that costs £20.50 now will be £22.50(tactical marine box set) come next year. I'd also expect to see a hefty rise in the price tag for the 40k rulebook also. Afterall, didn't WFB rise by £15.00?

Your saying that as if GW won't simply toss out what answers they get that they don't want to hear, and just keep all the polls that support they want to do hear.

Infinite array you are probably right but I would like to think the survey compilers might turn around and say "Errm we've got this information that you might want to take a look at?". Still at least GW provided us with a new game (the survey!) that we can play for free! multiple times...

I like the way they have no "other, please specify" especially for when you spent most on the game and how you started playing.
Spent most when models were reasonably priced and started before the internet was around and the nearest GW was an hour away by train may have thrown their answers a bit though
