Well unfortunately in my mind unless it was +3000pts via grand army, I think GW is long past the Cross Book thing smaller game wise

One UNIT you mean. Chosen of Tzeench (and really, if you're running Chosen why bother with another mark?) with the 4+ ward blessing become 3+. THAT is wayyyyyyyyy over the top.

DE can't even come close. Even Mindrazored Corsairs will get massacred by these guys, because TWO OUT OF THREE ATTACKS TOTALLY BOUNCE! Cannons? Stone Throwers? Pff, who cares, they bounce too.

It's only 'save or suck' spells that slow these combat monsters down in the slightest.

To quote myself from the Underempire:

Tamurkhan has the Great Host of Chaos rules: All three flavors(Warriors, Beasts, Daemons) in one evil Sundae!

You pick your General as the Paragon of Chaos, certain units from his book are his Sworn Disciples(even if they're Antagonistic, which is where Marks actually come into play). The rest have a chance to turn against the Paragon if things stop going their way during battle.

It's great fun and much more representative of Chaos as a list.

Old Dragon Ogres, Stone Trolls, and C23 Ogres look big, brutish, and stupid, the way they ought to. New Ogre Kingdom ogres, Chaos Trolls, and Chaos mutant Ogres are bollocks - all flash and no soul. Don't worry old Dragon Ogres, I'll love you forever

How can you not love the price either seeing as the sculpt is pretty much old enough to vote in the UK I believe . Mind you, so is a lot of the eldar range...

Any word on new Marauders?

Haven't heard anything, just the previously mentioned updates for models. Since VC didn't get zombies redone I'm thinking we will keep our core units.
But since NG'sg ot a redo back in 6th (so did Chaos warriors though) there is always hope. It would certainly make sense for them to redo them at 10 per box at stupid amounts of money in their mind, especially if the GW MoK combo is still popular.
Lets hope AoW do some nice plastics that would be ideal marauders instead though since the chieftain models are damn nice

Now this, combined with a properly up-to-date model range, might actually persuade me to play Fantasy again...

If only I could use rules from the Tamurkhan for regular gameplay and tournaments. If it's not one of the core lists people tend to rule it out. I think GW should issue a statement essentially making it 'the real deal' and they could make some big bucks selling those books, models etc. Same goes for Monstrous Arcanum.
AFTER this, they should release the new warriors book. People will say, dang I just bought all this forgeworld stuff, but ... the forsaken are somehow AWESOME now, so ... please take my money.

We don't even have leaks for 6th edition 40K, which sounds like it will be out within a month. WoC leaks will be months away.

What happened to the Ninjas that infiltrated GW and would leak info months in advance of the release.
