"Boy you must like Salamander dreadnaughts."

From: a 30 year old opponent who does not paint, and refuses to play that "warmachine" game because there "is not an iron man character" ....

To: my Gorten lead Searforge painted rusty yellow

"Why do they look like construction jacks?" Can't you take Nomads or Freebooters in Searforge. Response: because Searforge uses construction jacks, and no its a restrictive contract, I cannot take that.

Result of game: Gorten, landslide, strength of Granite on Driller, Thor tunes Driller damage. Driller goes into Karchev who has low defense due to landslide, carves through Karchev due to boosted damage rolls.

Opponent "Searforge is broken".... right...

Ummm what?

Why must one own a Titan to be able to judge if something is out of scale? I've seen people that think Warlords should be about 4-6ft tall and Imperators 6-7ft tall in 40k scale. This is quite clearly out of scale and waaay too big. But what do I know, I'm not deemed worthy of this opinion as I don't own a 40k scale Titan.

No - but it is similar to listening to a Blind man criticising the shade of red you painted your Firetruck with.

And when you see my Titan College - you will see what I am referring to. I wasn't talking about other 'people' - I was talking about mine. And yes - they are to scale.

I somehow doubt the Dark Reapers had much to do with it though.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Sorry if I was unclear Ph34r.

Someone with no frame of reference( What they have done/own/dealt with) has zero validity in criticism, IMO.

It was a statement made by a person who has less than 20 painted Models, and less than 2000 points in total, not a tourney rule or a Games fact.

I stuck to the OP's frame of reference to the post.

I have an Imperator, Warlord , Reaver, Warhound and Knight Paladin(NOT a Titan ). So I stated what I thought was a crappy statement, not what was factual - based on your understanding. Cool brother?

Being said that my army (which is Eldar btw.) is really cheesy and that Ultramarines are gay. The insult to the Ultras came from some under aged kid who was enjoying some energy drink, but I cant understand that why are Eldar cheese? They have an outdated codex, most stuff is overpriced and I dont win so many times with them.

I've never understood this either. Dark Reapers seem like a hidden gem that some Eldar players use. I used them, and loved the for the tournament scene. I found them survivable in terrain, and can drop a MEQ squads to nearly ineffective in a turn if given opportunity. Given the amount of 3+ armor, MEQ, and Grey Knights, I'd love to watch Eldar players sit pack and play kill the Beakies. The Eldar book is fun, fluffy, and dangerous when in the hands of a skilled player with proper model support. Most newer players typically have to be gaming slapped by a Eldar player to take a 2nd look at the armor other then Eldra, Fire Prisms, min/maxed Avengers - Dragons in Serpents.

"Battlewagon rush is broken, deff rollas are broken, it's a totally OP army and will be marked down severely in the comp score" - Tourney Organizers X and Y.

It wasn't a major issue, as I didn't compete in the end, but I counted over 25 Land Raiders at that tourney, many MEQ armies including 2 and some with 3... Some of these were marked up as 'thematic', but the deffrolla battlewagons were viewed as cheesy and horribly broken, despite having to take their side armour 12, rear armour 10 asses across the battlefield to get at any A14 on the other side in the first place.

Agreed. I play a lot of wacky lists. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. But Reapers rarely fail me. I think I die little bit more inside when I read posts like, "The only competitive Eldar build is. . ." and they list spammed Dragons, Avengers and Fire Prisms .

All these come from one guy. Guy who says this never plays and just likes to sit on the sidelines and back seat game. Because he reads stuff on the internet, he thinks he knows what's good.

-----------------------
"If your guard army dosen't have atleast 20 autocannons then it's terrible. My marens could rip it apart."
(Army in question wins tournament, and guy would never play agiest the owner of this army..)
------------------

This is the best thow. In all honesty when most people hear this story they don't believe it could actually happen.

"Orks are not a competitive army. You should realy play CSM instead, now that's a competive army."
(I point out that I play both Orks and CSM, and that I find orks the more competitive army. I also explain to him why I find this. I also point out that I always do better in tournies with orks then CSM, and why this is.)
"Well. Just because your playing agiest crappy players, dosen't mean the army is good."

(I am one of the "regulars" who play ageist everyone at the store as regularly as I can. He in one comment implied that basicly neveryone at the store is a crappy player. They also point out he plays more Magic the gathering then he dose Warhammer so what should he know about their skill level? He doesn't even play ageist us.)

"I don't need to play ageist you to know your not very good at this game. I just look at your armies to know that!" People they procede to chew him out for being a back seat gamer who dosen't know when to shut the feth up.....
------------------------------------------------------

Latter a bunch of us warhammer players went to the LGS dureing friday night magic and we begin to back set game his game of magic the gathering.

"Where is your black lotus? You know every winning deck needs one."
"Your playing red? Red is for chumps! You should be playing vampires. That's a deck that can win games."
"You shouldn't of played that card just yet."
ect, ect, ect.

He then wrote a letter to us and had the owner of the store give it to us next thursday. that we are to leave him alone on friday night magic from now on.

Many laughs were had. We have never seen him at Warhammer night agien.
