So, I finished the 2nd vet squad, meltas for these boys. I plan one more then its chimeras for all.

The flagellants will be my Psyker Battle Squad. I was going to use Catachan bits on these guys but changed my mind when I saw all the pieces in the kit. I decided to only trim the weapons from the arms. I am hoping the poses and overall look of them will produce an appearance of charging towards the enemy filled with warp energy, trying to get it out before their heads blow up.

I did something else which is unusual for me, I read the rules. I think instead of 2 platoons I'll just make a single giant one. Since they can combine squads it sort of serves the same purpose as 2 small. I guess for deployment purposes 2 would be more flexible, but what the hell.

You read the rules? Good lord man! I like the flaggellent stuff. I use them for my warrior acolytes in my GK army.

I know, right. I was pissed when 6th came out cause I knew sooner or later I would. Also helps to read the special rules in the codex of whatever army you are building. All sorts of interesting stuff in there.

Alright, first 5 Psykers finished. The look Im going for is a squad, which was once in uniform, to be charging forward in whats left of those clothes. You know, like the warp energy tears apart the uniform as it flows from the Psykers. Im playing with the idea of using washes to make the eyes and mouth glow. We shall see.

Small update here, the sniper and overseer are finished up. I think the overseer matches up pretty well.

As a Vostroyan player, I love seeing the guard armies with an old fashioned twist. Great work! Also, the bretonnian heads are a great change from the guard faces we're used to seeing

That would be a valk door gunner body. Body/legs are one piece.

^ and a great use of medic hand too. Quality kitbashes, a great blog all round.

@grrrfranky- Rawson has it right, it's the door gunner. You know, those legs and torso look really cool but given the pose there's not a whole lot you can do with it.

@Rawson- thanks for dropping by and I'm glad you like it. I have enjoyed your Vostroyans on many occasions. Conversions are brilliant. I'm also glad for the lack of painted faces in the army. What a beating to get that right.

@inmygravenimmage- thanks man. You can really use that Cadian command set to all sorts of stuff. I see this guy reading a roster of who is left in the squad and who is the weakest. That way he will know who to shoot first. Only if necessary of course.

Hey 40kFSU, I love these guys. The new psykers are great, and the tanks form a couple pages back are really pretty. Keep up the good work.

@schmacker10- Hey man, thanks for stopping in. Glad you like the army, Ive wanted to do one for years. As for tanks, I got another Leman Russ and a Valkyrie on deck.

So, the Stormtroopers are finished. They are ok, I guess. First Sentinel worked out pretty well. I decided against the split colors, dont think it would look all the good on one of these guys.

sweet storm troopers again. Really love the look of them.

The storm trooper heads, where are they fromm? I can't put my fingers on it. Other than that sweet looking army

Thanks guys. The heads, well, I dont know where they came from. I thought they were from the Valkyrie, but I just bought one and no heads. It must be from something fairly common in IG because I have had a ton of them. Anyway, 5 more nuts for the PBS and a shot with the group together. Also knocked out a shot of the army so far. I am well past the half way point. Im thinking 2 more infantry squads, a heavy weapon squad with autocannons, maybe a couple of special weapon squads. We will see on that. As for armor, 1 more Russ, a Manticore, the Valkyrie, and 3 Chimeras for the vets. I have everything except the Chimeras bought, shouldnt be long.

Good job on the PBS, and the army looks very nice all together.

I love your Gunnery Sergeant with Hvy Bolter and your sniper.

They are V.cool.
