The Quran.. isn't there support books (The Hadiths?) and the fact the Sunni/Shia interpret the Quran differently?

There are many supported books(many much more violent than the Quran itself).

There is only one Quran. There will always be different interpretations, but there is only one Quran. Even a different translation isn't considered "valid", per se.

Sunna and gak it seems are the same book but some parts they view a bit different. Quran mentions the "other books" in the writing of the book. At the beginning of Quran from what I read on Wilki started to have different punounciation and some Cilapth order one of the original prophets of Mohammad to combine it all in one book. Since my religious conviction is almost non existence I'm just touching this. Thugh my perception is that the Quran is more accurate then the Bible. I follow neither so flame away

Sunni and Shia don't really interpret the core tenets any differently. The large majority of differences stem from who they believe should've been the caliph after the death of the Prophet.

There are not any major written differences between, say, the King James bible and the NIV. Or any of the other versions.

Having some slight change in language does not a difference make, not in the way you seem to be implying. They don't change what is said, only how it is written.

That's like saying a book's entire meaning changes if you translate it into a different language.

Backing up whoever Frazz reported because he mention something to the effect that men write the Holy Books and not Divine beings or something silly.

Actually *boring lecture made short* the qur'an was begun some years after the prophet's death (I don't capitalize any religious terms) because the caliphate started noticing more and more divergent interpretations. So orthodoxy was enforced in a very temporal way. The historicity of it is attested not directly, but through studies of muslim law (fikh) at the time. It keeps mentioning what would today be called an elephant in the room.

The tanakh (which comprises but is not exclusively the torah) was cobbled together and is admitted as such by mainstream judaism.

The bible is seen by some sects as the inherent word of god, others recognize the history of the text and the troubles translations represent.

Of course, because this is religion, YMMV, my ex-colleague was very fluent in the history of the qur'an, especially the Fatimid fikh and she didn't wear a headscarf, and drank with moderation.

Regardless, the point was that Christians in general don't get up in arms over burning bibles but Muslims do.

Maybe that's why Bibles don't get burned very often.

How often do book burnings happen these days?

Does "these days" include that whole 1936 to 1945 period or not?

I've heard of some Harry Potter book burnings, but I don't know if its true or not. I could see it being true, but that's just my bias.

LOL I remember that happening. Some Christian groups held book burning on Harry Potter books when the book series snowballed into movies. Think it was like second or third movie

Come back to me when people in the countryside transport fuel by soaking books in it and then carrying the books around; I'm fairly sure you'd normally move it using sealed containers.

Or approve 5 gallon fuel containers.

Also I find it ironic that you're going on about patriotism and standing up for your country, whilst calling yourself "Marine Killa"

Looking at his posts, I can't tell whether Poe's Law or not.
They read like the epitome of the sheltered prepubescent 13 year old shouting down the microphone in an FPS, but given access to a keyboard.

I'm not sure if he's asking me to stand for Americans or not? Which is kinda funny, because last time I was there, the last thing they wanted me to do was stand up and open my filthy mouth.
