In other news, I've just started another CK2 playthrough...

This project got not as much love as it deserved.
The idea seemed to be fun at first, but was not in the end....
And then I bought a mortarion, which is much more interesting.

But here ist the result for this month.
My Orcish Bloodbowl fans of the Black Rock Badboyz.
The way I painted them is normal table standard and fits to the team I have.

Since a few people have asked, I'll extend the amnesty to tomorrow evening; realistically, I'm not getting the poll done much before then anyway!

It's far from perfect, but I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt at a Harlequin paint scheme. I didn't realize that my matte varnish would fog over the clear plastic on the canopy, but c'est la vie...

I just put the finishing touches on, in my opinion, the best model I ever painted and am currently painting the base. It's just too bad it doesn't fit the theme. It's a infinity yu jing guijia.

These old metal models are a pain, I don’t think there’s a single straight edge or right angle on them, but good enough for the tabletop (particularly when they’ll spend most of the time hidden in terrain!)

Here's my final entry.

I decided to paint this one in a very experimental style for me. It's all done with stippling - there's hardly a brush stroke on there, it's all just dots. Loads and loads of dots. The idea is to create texture. I made no effort to be neat, so I reckon it will put a lot of people off. I don't think I really pulled off what I was going for, but it's rare to try something new and get it right straight away. I think the result is interesting. I think everyone will hate it.

The other thing to bear in mind is that I reckon she looks a bit like a HR Giger painting, so I tried to use colours reminiscent of his art. It could have worked as an entry for next month's Three Colour Maximum, probably.

I'm very happy with the look of this... I know I've done better, but I'm mostly very happy to be pushing forward on painting my Alpha Legion army. I still have a lot of guys to paint, not to mention a couple of Rhinos and a Spartan!

Painting him has got me started again after a bit of a lull, I'll try to keep the momentum going...

My last minute entry. I had some bad luck this time. I didn't have any suitable minis for this theme so I ordered some cool chaotic minis
three weeks ago but I received them just this thursday. Was impossible for me to finish them in 3-4 days so I did a quick job on the pandas.

Ugh. I can't get any traction at the paint bench... I'm getting murdered at the office. It is going to be another week before I get any real painting time... then it's a brief respite before the next death march... Work is going to be brutal for the 40 weeks.

I admit the OSL needs a big more work. This is as far as April's entry is going to go.

Aaaaand.... the photo reveals a glaring mouldline right down his helmet that is now making me cringe -.-'. I'll need to fix that.

Still, it's been a productive month. I've managed to do 85 infantry and 5 Rhinos.

Still a few more hours to get pics submitted! New round will go up shortly, I'm just trying to make sure the rules for the 3-colour maximum are as clear as possible!

A Small backstory, while on a Rokk/Space Hulk drifting through the warp this Orks warband was attacked by the Chaos entities that inhabit the warp and wiped out apart from 1 Ork (this one called, Grimzod Magsnik). He was offered great power if he would willingly be possessed or be killed. Grim decided to take the demon up on the offer so he could carry on having a good fight with everything he meet.
