Even as an unrepentant SoB fanboy, I'm currently skipping the add ons. Even if there's a wait involved, I'm already at (and honestly, beyond) my budget cap.

It's been funny to watch it play out in the comments, as they have two vocal groups who are competing for mutually exclusive results.

Give us more add ons!

Stop the add ons!

More! MORE ADD ONS!

OMG why wasn't this add on a stretch goal!?

Etc.

But we're up ~32k currently, and only 43 new backers, so even if all of those were all Warlords, that's still a good 20k'ish in upgrades today (either tiers or add ons), which is pretty good. They just sent out an update to the original Kickstarter backers noting that there are 2 days left, which might draw in some interest, and presumably we'll get an update sometime in the next 4 hours or so to announce ticking over the 1m mark (~4 grand from it currently) and maybe whatever is left in the arsenal as the reminders go out.

I'm on the fence about the campaign add on. I'm interested, but am I $55 bucks interested? I have enough gaming experience that I can make my own campaigns.

I definitely think this is going to be retail sooner rather than later, so I might pick it up then.

The Ulfsark SG has 3 miniatures, so it is propably a shape-shifter hero (3rd mini is a wolf?).

I have the results of the last chamber: You are a horrible person.
That's what it says: A horrible person...
We weren't even testing for that.

Well, compared to JoA campaign, this one is really boring. It's almost like they don't want people to pledge above million. They are running it so badly,3rd campaign and it seems they learned nothing about how to run it.
Won't even comment paint video this far away, and judging by the comments, many share same opinion. Don't really thing we will hit 1.2 mil,1.15 at most, but even that is big question at this point.

Campaign has good value though.

We're 'only' about $20K away from the video 'goal', but a rather large $170K from unlocking some rather cool new hero classes too.

Not sure if we'll pull in the necessary funds between now and the end, and I can't remember if 'pledge manager' funds unlock stuff for Frog campaigns, but I'm guessing not?

They usually add a few surprises in the pledge manager but as addon a rather than free unlocks so I would expect any unreached goals and one or two other items to be available.

Good point!

Hopefully, if we don't make enough in the campaign to unlock the Jaguar Warrior, Children of the Mountain and Ulfsark goals, they'll put them in the PM as available to purchase add-ons.

Wouldn't mind a figure of the See'er. Other then that, I'm OK without picking up more "Add Ons". It will be eiasier to worry about, and also the stuff they are asking for is a little out of the serious price range. Doorways? For that much? Seriously? O.O

At least in concept. So these are the folks who did the Tredarians? I have a couple, they are lackluster and very large. Great concept though.

Hmmm, that tank is pretty sweet.

There's now pledges which include Forbidden Fortress stuff.

More interesting are the flying pterodactyl alien men with machineguns that just showed up as a facebook sharing challenge.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

You know that that $35 boardgame is selling ten thousand copies or more, but an expansion to expensive minis game will sell just a few thousand copies (or less). You cannot directly compare the price of a whole game box and an expansion as their print runs are different. Expansions always sell less than full games, so their pricing has to compensate for it.

Of course you can compare, the same as comparing games workshop to cmon/mantic or toyota to mercedes. In fact you are not even arguing the price point based on quality or other tangible aspect only on print run? Thats laughable.

I know that expansions are more expensive, since I buy em often. I am just saying that 35$ for few tiles and some cards is really expensive, especialy when you get both, and add shipping. I always compare what my money gets me( and I burned 2000$ on kdm because value was good). So I will probably just wait for expansion campaign add on to to hut retail and pay less that I would pay now+shipping.

So, what you are saying is that the size of the print run (and thus the amount of products to be sold) does not affect the price at all? I agree, thats laughable.

$35 MSRP tells me "probably $25 at CoolStuffInc", which doesn't seem horrific, assuming it goes to retail (but of course, I'm not taking this as a given). If they just end up on the webstore for full price (plus $Texas shipping), yeah, that's a slightly tougher sell.

Personally I skipped them in the campaign. Maybe I'll pick them up later, that's a 2020 or 2021 problem. I'm not ruling out an upgrade in the pledge manager, and like having as much tile diversity as possible, but for now I'm good with simply blowing a moderate sized hole in my monthly budget.

Any hint in the comments section or elsewhere that the last unrealized stretch goal for the Skinwalker hero mini set will be available in the PM as an add-on?

I'm skimming through their responses on Kickstarter, and not seeing anything along those lines so far.

Based on previous experience, I would be very surprised if they didn't include it in the Pledge Manager. Based on the PM pricing for the other heroes as add ons (KS1 heroes, and extras of the exclusives in KS2), I'm expecting it to be pricey, like $20-25 for the figures and other materials, but likely available.

They might have said something about it on the Facebook page, but that one is much harder to search at a glance. I took a stab at it anyway, and it doesn't seem like anything has been said officially, but given their track record, it seems like a fairly safe bet.

Now, the flip side of that is that the difference goes from "included in the box at no additional cost" to "as an add on, which will presumably cost the expected amount for a hero, and then another $10+ in shipping on top of that". And it seems like a popular thing.

Based on KS1 and 2, I have no delusions about them just generously giving us stuff for free, but part of me kind of dreams where they get another $50k+ in the pledge manager and just throw it into the box for everyone anyways. I can't imagine they will, but it'd make the warehouse team's lives easier at the very least. Having a singular add on that likely attracts thousands of people is some money, sure, but it's also a metric fethload of work too.

Though I guess the Campaign box is probably attractive enough that maybe they're already going to be dealing with add ons for a significant number of backers anyways.

I kind of wished that the Jaguar hero and the Werewolf hero would have traded places. So I'm gonna buy it in PM if it is offered.

Since there are 3 models in that pack, I'm sure it will be more expensive set (just like the Dark stone shaman was more costly hero).

At least the Valkyrie hero and the Werewolf hero have their own experience skill tables, so the Vikings get a bit more diversity in the upgrade paths. I personally do not mind the shared skill tables, but there were a lot of complaining about that in the KS.

I might need to get another Jaguar Hero or some other Mesoamerican themed minis to go up against my monsters from Paymaster Games' Going Native. (If they ever arrive.)
