I'm hoping the Leagues of Votann release is more than a single character. Some huge sort of flying mining tug like the Nostromo from Alien would be nice, a big chunk of plastic the size of a Necron Monolith. Just wishcasting.

I think there's been some talk of an artillery piece type unit, and the prospector/analyser character

A Protoss colony world

I personally would love something like a Dreadnought for Votann, but instead of a mostly dead guy inside it's basically just an ancestor's consciousness inside a robot body

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2024: 40 | Total models painted in 2025: 25 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Yeah, I'd REALLY like that. Even if it's not a full-on Dreadnought, but something dreadnought-like, but smaller, like Sentinel sized.

Edit: for clarity.

Are there any rumors of any major releases coming soon, or do you think this will be stuff we already heard about ?

Chaos Dwarves are the big secret surprise that will likely dominate the event, esp for the fantasy end.

That said Old World is nearing the end of everything they've got previewed so potential there for some revelations on the future of the game

Old World wise I'm expecting

a) A few hints at more Cathay units to round them out more

b) First teasers of Kislev

c) Going back to early armies like Brets and Tomb Kings and starting to upgrade more models to modern plastics.

I honestly feel like adding more armies now might be a mistake. Just because the game can easily find itself in the gap where you've got armies like Kislev and Cathay running around with fully modern armies and quality models; whilst TK and Brets are running around with really old metals, plastic ponies and wonky skeletons. Basically that powerful nostalgia that let it grow will wane and give way to "I want new modern models".

The best direction would be to bring more armies up to modern standards quicker then add more fresh armies. Otherwise I figure you'd end up with a divide with newer armies looking cool and picking up new customers, fresh ones and growing; whilst old armies end up languishing in the doldrums of low sales as low re-investment makes htem unattractive

Basically exactly where armies like Sisters of Battle sat for years

They already stated there won't be anymore Cathay apart from the dragon and i would be genuinely surprised if they tease another brand new army that fast. I think you're hitting middle-earth territory with resin characters and units being the filler period.

basically this is how Warhammer sat from end of 6th Edition with the Ogre release until it ended
you have that one army fully updated with new models and everyone else is waiting until their outdated and ugly models are replaced as well, but never were

So we will see of GW get it right this time, or we are going to see full new models lines only for new factions and the old ones being left where they are

Harry, bring this ring to Narnia or the Sith will take the Enterprise

Chaos dwarfs for aos = meh.
Chaos dwarfs for tow = my poor, poor bank account
Man, I would not mind oldschool WHF models as well. Like the Landship or Elspeth.

Annotated 'Hereticus', maybe? It's still too soon for 'Pandaemonium', right?

A new Harlequins novel, along with an accompanying model, would be welcome.

Horus Heresy should be how they plan to re-release the Liber books as PDFs on day 1 of the game's release with a full rewrite of the changes they made that has annoyed the 2.0 players so much.

If only. I'd love to see a new Armiger loadout at the very least.

Chaos has what... seven different Armigers or some such nonsense, and we get 2... 3 if you like resin.
