Looks pirate-y.
So yeah, maybe the rumoured Vampire Pirates or new Black Arc Corsairs?
Could also be a 40k elf.

it looks very familair, almost like they've shown a similair sword earlier. So based on that I would say it will be at least a unit

Shadow elves, witch hunter, vampire. Lotta peeps in AoS love their basket hilts.

I’m gonna step out and say it’s one of the characters of the mythical Cities of Sigmar warband for Underworlds.

Defineatly seems so. There's a lot of Vampire and undead lookin image recently, is GW making a new faction? Again?

They did show a similar bit--and it tracks with the Ghyranite Warcry band. Interestingly they've been ramping up statements about "Aelves following Chaos" a bit more, so maybe that's what this is?

Hopefully expanding Soulblight.

Soulblight/Vampires sounds about right. Don't know much about basket-hilt swords, but that grip doesn't seem like the kind of positioning you'd expect from someone wielding it elegantly, so that makes it less likely to be Slaanesh or (Chaos) Elves. Still entirely possible to be either of those, but to me it's more fitting the style of a brutally strong, undead nobility, or even a swashbuckler

The hand looks weird. Are we sure there are five fingers?

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

I'm not convinced it's a hand. It's pretty blobby and indistinct. Maybe a sash holding it to a belt?

Gloved hand might explain its less than exact profile.

I'll say it goes with the flintlock pistol from before. Either the same model or warband.

Flintlocks, fancy swords and undead.

Dare I dream of Vampire Coast?

There's something really off looking about that hand.
Is it a glove or a badly sculpted hand? The finger over the cross guard (historically accurate?) is not helping either.

Yeah. Unless it's an intentional juxtaposition between well made weapon and misshapen hand that looks wrong.

I guess. There are light striations on the back of the 'hand' (above the handguard) that remind me of nothing so much as the design for the Clayface villain in Young Justice.

Maybe its just the angle, but the base of the wrist seems too narrow, and the two visible 'fingers' look unfinished (or there is supposed to be webbing in between the first two fingers), and the other two shouldn't be so completely hidden by the guard.
Its just so very at odds with the sword itself, which seems like they went for a very authentic, almost real-world design.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

It is historically accurate; putting a finger over a quillion apparently helps with point control and was often used for precise thrusting attacks. The hand does seem rather small compared to the sword, especially given GW's usual hand proportions (i.e. even more oversized than their weapons).

Yes, such grip was used with both swords and rapiers:

And dunno why you guys say 'misshapen' hand, if you look at second video it's supposed to look like this.

I hope this means we get to see the other models from that video soon.

Could be a new Unmade model. Then again they tend to chop the hand off and replace it and that one looks like its holding. Hand is a bit gaunt though.

A number of weapons been shown that look Death-y, but with hands that aren't skeletal. I wonder if it means new Ghouls/FEC, or something else?

Pretty similar weapon to what one of the ghouls in Underworlds has:
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-FI/WHU-The-Grymwatch-EN-2019

And indeed, I would expect several of the other previews to be for them too. About time they get some expansion in their small range (that so badly represents their AoS lore) too!

FEC are a very small range and heck from GW's point of view not that profitable either since almost their entire range is in the start collecting set. They've a few models outside of it, but not many and no real core troops and such. Plus with the ability to take over the normal monstrous unit limit in one army it means players have no real reason to want the other sets and can just keep getting SC stets.

I could see them getting an update with new models to not only flesh them out (pun intended), but also to give them more regular earning models for GW.

A new warcry or shadespire band. Otherwise, I don't think a hook hand would rely on a "large" piece of scenery (a log?) attached to it.
