I think CMON will beat that estimate by a lot.

The material is a 'new' and 'improved' PVC - (allegedly) harder than what we've seen so far.

Better than the Relic Knights stuff - I think?

We hope.

I want a material that is easy to clean up. For the most part it seems like it captures detail fairly well, not resin quality but consider the medium for gaming purposes (durability, price point, etc) vs botique display miniature,

If I can't clean them up quickly, to ebay they go. took nearly 20 minutes to remove the mold lines on a Samaritan from SedWars, and there were still some left overs after I primed it.

Update #97
Oct 10 2014
Production Update (10/10/2014)
Basically, they have reported to us that everything is running smoothly and they have given us an estimated completion time frame of early November.
What this means is that, if that estimated timeframe holds true, that everything for Wrath will be packaged, finalized, etc etc and will then be ready for the distribution process to begin.

See you in...2015!
And hopefully before CNY!
Please?
I still think that is possible...

So basically we went from "fulfilment in mid-August, no, really" to "we really meant September" to "add 6-8 weeks" to "it's right on time - BTW, we meant finished in China in 6-8 weeks, not in your hands."

Is this one entirely shipping from CMON in the US, or from their "new" distribution hubs? Because if ANZ copies are coming from an AU hub and not the US, they've overcharged on shipping by a small fortune.

I don't think $15/$25/$40 depending on how much stuff you picked up is unreasonable for the costs of shipping stuff and paying the appropriate taxes to import stuff (depending on what part of the world you are in)

Also
you don't expect to have to pay extra shipping for projects where you've been given a fixed shipping quote if postage prices go up

so you shouldn't expect to benefit if a company gets a cheaper shipping solution together after you've paid your fixed shipping quote (the CMON Australia hub wasn't a thing during the WoK KS)

I've paid a fair bit more than that, and if the cost drops down to something like a quarter of what I paid, I don't think it'd be all that unreasonable, especially given that it's going to be 6+ months late

Using a shipping hub requires shipping twice (to the hub and then to you), wages for people working at the hub, rent for warehouse space at the hub, etc. Not to mention they handle any customs duties. So I'm not sure how much cheaper it realistically is, but it sure saves me some hassle.

I think any amount of overcharge is a bargain if it means I don't have to deal with the sociopaths at Customs.

Sorry didn't realise there were different rates for this one, I thought it was one standard 'overseas' cost, or free for those in the US

I would be pretty surprised if this shows up before 2015. A successful kickstarter seems to be double edged sword. I think this game would have ultimately been much more successful with a somewhat smaller kickstarter with just the core boxes launching 4-5 months ago, and then additional boxes coming later. The long delays on this have basically squandered a lot of the excitement.

Not sure. I know later campaigns have charged substantially less than this one for the shipping. And yes on customs. It's rare, but I've had two boxes over the years totally destroyed in shipping from the US. Like, reboxed by AU post/customs

Backers! Mr. Black here, and I'm here with a production update for you all.

So, I've received more information from our production manager and I'm happy to say according to our Chinese Manufacturer all issues, complications, setbacks, goblins, and delays have been corrected and nullified!

In addition, I've been updated that Wrath will be dispatched from the Chinese warehouse to our US Hub by November 5th.

Our US warehouse has already begin initial planning and preparations so that when Wrath arrives state-side we can quickly get it sent out to everyone.

In the meantime, I will update you guys with the vessel information as soon as it is available so that you guys can track it as it makes its way across the sea.

We're almost here, dear backers, and everyone here at CoolMiniOrNot thanks you for your support during this campaign and after.

Wrath of Kings is almost upon us!

-Mr. Black

So most likely 'only' 7 months late - not too bad in Kickstarter land...

Falls squarely into reasonable for a kickstarter. Looking forward to this and seeing if there are any events at Adepticon for it

They're planning on having at least one 'experienced' tournament and a few beginner tournaments, I believe.

This'll be the first time in 5 years I'm not going the team tournament.

I'm honestly not even sure if I'm going to be going this year.

Any particular reason? (On the maybe not going, not the TT)

Team Tournament came down to just not having any fun last year.

Not going in general comes down to having a good reason to go, since I now have a kid.

I'm trying to go to fewer conventions this year because of it, and there are a few that I enjoy significantly more than Adepticon.

Was this one getting sent to APAC from CMON or direct from China? I know one of the incoming KS is, but I've forgotten which one...

Update #100 Nov 14 2014

Packaging Images!

Mr. Black here!

So while we wait for the boat to arrive here in the US, I've gathered up some images of the box packaging that China sent us before shipping everything out.

In addition, I have some up-close-and-personal images of the Twilight Knight box, as that model, being one of the resin specials, was handled here in the US.

First up, the main boxes from China:

And now moving into the Twilight Knight box, which will also show you just what you should expect in each package:

That box got passed around a bit, so excuse any dings and marks on it! The ones you guys will be getting are pretty and clean.

We're only a short time away, backers! Wrath of Kings is almost upon us!

I've got so much unpainted and unassembled games and projects that I wouldn't mind a slip of the delivery date.

I need less hobbies.

What percentage of CMON updates actually contain information?

100%?

Just maybe not the information we'd all like, sure, but...

This one's got to be shipping soon, I'd think!

They haven't actually indicated it will ship soon, have they? Or was that in an older update? If they were about to, you'd expect them to be broadcasting as much, especially to inspire holiday sales after shipping to backers.

This is the ship it's on, it's was North of Japan on the 20th

ETA 11/30 in LA then add time to transport to Atlanta and pack inidividual orders, US backers might just have it for Christmas. I'm hearing something about issues and strikes on the west coast though that could be a factor.

As an EU backer I'm expecting a February delivery.
