I like, but never got the 2nd ed versions, I have hidden somewhere a 1st run metal mini of the Praetorian Stalkers, still were mean looking back then. I had such high hopes for them to be a true competitor for GW, but the licensing issues that they fell into that ruined them at Target Games. I also ran some of the RPG as I had that book too.

They look good, maybe like they're gonna get ambushed by the predator any time now.

Looks like you got some litko bases going on, they're working well.

Is that a 2nd Edition Praetorian? I didn't even know that. I thought he was a first edition. I remember Mutant Chronicles being fairly prolific back in the day. Almost as much, if not moreso than 40k. I distinctly remember the local toystore, PlayCo. carried the board games. We'd even got Siege of the Citadel from there. Ah, good times. I can remember playing it in my brother's room, using the Bauhaus guys because I thought Max Steiner looked cooler than everyone else with his skull mask. I also remember renting Doom Troopers quite a lot (even beat it) and playing the CCG.

That Praetorian was picked up from the local hobby shop. They'd fished out a ton of old ass Warzone and Chronopia stock. Stuff I hadn't seen since I was a kid. Unfortunately, most of it has been sold now, and they didn't seem to have some of the cooler stuff, like the Cybertronic Shock Troopers or the Bauhaus Hussars. I did snag a few more blisters when I got that guy though and I'll post them tomorrow.

No, I'd need to get the Rescue Team personality set in order to have that scenario. Someday.... someday.
But yeah, all of my Danamians are on LItko bases. They look nice on them.

Speaking of, when I saw the Deadzone stage 1 Plague beast, I was thinking of this guy's "carcass armor"

That's a pretty ugly figure. Which Megacorp did he belong to prior to joining the Dark Legion?

Anyway, I promised some ugly figures from the 90s and I will deliver. It's just a bit later than I'd intended due to stuff going on with my house.

You've already seen the Praetorian Stalker, but I wanted to get another pic of him.

Dark Legion Last Ritesmen, purchased due to their creepyness.

And purchased entirely due to their goofy hats, some Brotherhood Pilgrims!

Highlord Tamburlaine claimed the vents on their headgear looked like techno mustaches.

I also stumbled across some RIFTS miniatures of all things at the hobby shop. I wound up grabbing a pack of humanoid dogs... because of course I would. I'll have to work on them later this week. Tomorrow, expect some pics that ought to make Highlord Tamburlaine somewhat jealous.

Jeez Barzam, that was fast on those guys.

You churned those Pilgrims out quick!

I guess I've got to step it up on my side and finish all my Legion guys. Weather certainly wasn't the most cooperative for spraying stuff this weekend.

Okay, time for something with which I make Highlord Tamburlaine jealouse. GORITSI!!!!

He's already seen the Goritsi Dancing Master, but the rest of you haven't.

But, nobody bought Goritsi for Vampires. That'd just be silly. No, anyone who bought Goritsi did so because of the plethora of werewolves.

Now, I'd just grabbed a pair of figures at random out of the extras box from the Kickstarter. I'd managed to have little in the way of errors or issues with my order, except, wouldn't you know it, I had a werewolf missing his tail. And, when i was fishing for a figure to paint, I just so happened to grab that very same werewolf. Because of course I would. I used to Green Stuff to fill in the hole on his backside. I suppose this guy's nickname is Stumpy.

A Few weeks back, FRP had a huge clearance sale with over 300 items makred way down. Since they update their sale page around 1am here and I'm usually up around that time, I lucked out and managed to get a few things very cheap. Among them, I grabbed some figures from West Wind's Roadkill line for all of a buck. Grabbed myself some Night Rangers. Who wouldn't want a team of black ops guys with NVGs and full auot shotguns? They'll be perfect for fighting against the horrors of the night. If I ever end up palying some horror themed stuff, I'll probably wind up using these guys.

And the last bit for today's update, I'd picked up a Techpriest last weekend and got him painted up to go with my Skitarii. Decided to paint him in the Stygies VIII scheme like the troops.

It looks like you'd put more work in on that Blade Dancer anyways.

Your wolf came out good.

Every time I see your Skitarii tech stuff, I can't help but think they're Void Junkers due to how you painted them.

The hats on those Brotherhood Pilgrims are excellent, their opponents would be crippled with laughter.

Love what you are doing with the Wrath of Kings miniatures, they are certainly on my "to buy" list if they ever make it over to the UK.

Your Skitarii are great too, I really like the black cloaks when compared to the GW "official" colour scheme.

Well, they are the Brotherhood of silly hats. The headgear on the old Mortificators and Inquisitors were bigger than their torsos.

I'd wanted to do something a bit different than everyone else with my Skitarii. I figured everyone would be doing the Mars scheme of possibly Ryza. I'm actually a little surprised I haven't seen more in the Stygies colors. The white one probably looks best, but no way am I going to paint that much white. The fact that the Stygies colors make them look like Junkers is just an added bonus.

Alpharius, there was a lot of Highlording going on last Saturday when we had a 3-way battle with our cousin.

Gonna work on more werewolves tonight and I should have some new Germans to post.

Well, you're in luck, my Admech got an HQ today. I gave in to peer pressure and grabbed the new Magos. I'm looking forward to painting him. I suppose he'll be getting the same black robes are the rest of my Stygies crew. BUT, I've got a bit of an issue that's going to keep me from painting for a few days. I've finally got nearly all of the renovations done at my new place (need a fan installed, closet doors, internet, and some touchups) and I'll finally get to move in. I'm going be moving my hobby stuff this week, so my queue is going to be in limbo for a bit. And then, I've got to go on a buying hiatus again. But, I've got a ton of stuff to work through while I'm on hiatus anywaay, so you'll still see me painting stuff once I get everything set up again. In fact, tomorrow I should have some new pics up of some stuff.

Okay, so this is obviously not being posted on the 27th of May. Reason being that I'd actually wound up packing the stuff I was going to photograph. It was just WIPs anyway, so no big loss. Today I have something better. Today, I have an actually completed figures, the Tech-Priest Dominus. I should also add, this guy is the first figure I've painted at my new house.

Now, I'd wanted to get him some Servitor bodyguards and I was going to use the Urban War Syntha Artemis class Biosynths, because this guy's a total pimp. Unfortunately, Noble Knight sent me the wrong Biosynth. Instead of a nearly nude female cyborg, I got a half naked male cyborg. Hopefully they can get things squared and send me the proper Biosynth so my Tech-Priest can have his ladies.

I'm not!

He refuses to paint any fantasy stuff since it would be considered an act of heresy for the machine god.

You guys just keep enabling him!

(I've seen the stuff in person though, and I'll admit he's tied it all together quite well.) I liked the big crawly guy on a big base with lots of wires n' junk hanging off him.

From the sound of things, next time we have a game it's going to be sentient mushroom men versus Weird War German sorcery, so that should be interesting...

Well folks, I'm not done with the AdMech yet. Today I put a bunch of my Space Marines and Chaos Marines in the consignment case at the FLGS. With luck, some local gamers will like my Relictors and Plague Dogs enough to buy them. Sadly, this means that I had to part with my custom Plague Lord. The guy working there really liked him though and was contemplating buying the figure for himself, so I think he'll be a sure sale Compared to everything else in the case, my figures are hands down the best looking ones and I was already getting some admirers while they were being put in the case. My hope is that not only will I make room in my display cabinet by doing this, but that I'll make enough extra cash to grab myself the AdMech robots and Kataphron Destroyers.

For now though, I'll have to make due with adding non-GW figures to my forces. I wanted to add some combat Servitors to act as bodyguards for my pimping Tech-Priest. I think I already mentioned that Noble Knight messed up my order for one of the Syntha cyborg girls (which they finally got back to me about. They can't replace her and will be giving me credit). So, what I wound up doing, for now, is repainting the Biosynth girl I already had. I just did up her armor bits in red so she'll match up better with the rest.

I've got another Syntha robot that I'm slowly working on that will be joining her as well.

Last weekend, I went by Brookhurst and managed to come across some long forgotten Void Junkers suicide bombers. I needed to get those. So...

Yep, they're joining the Adeptus Mechanicus. Id like to think that they're menials who had performed some sort of techno-heresy and only by becoming human bombs could they seek forgiveness for their transgressions in the eyes of the Omnissiah. I'll have to come up with some way to adapt them to SOBH.

I think they'll go well with my Mechanicus forces.

Please tell me my 6 armed game illegal swarm lord has finally found a better home. I hate going there and seeing him staring back at me.

When I get home we'll have to find a decent SF ruleset so we can shoot it out with all your admech junk, and me with my ugly dark legion stuff.
