Yeah NZ, It is a fair distance to send things but I find that the more I get into Dakka the more I am sending parcels to the states and the UK so its not too big a deal.

I still can't believe FW got the scale so wrong on the guns!

It's not that surprising. Just compare the Heavy Bolter carried by Space Marines with the on attached to a Land Raider.

I was playing around with Photoshop some more. I like the concept sp far, but I'm not sure what to do about the head.

if you are going to make it look more speedy (and that without adding red color ) I would also turn the nose of the drone a bit towards the ground. And maybe ad some slimy "speedlines"

As for the Rat/defiler combo: Looks good in PS, but you should take a very close look at the rat sprues before atempting this.

The Soul Grinder/Abomination mashup concept looks very promising.

And (it's been too long since I checked in here) the Blight Drone paint job came out looking great.

Saw the Abominbation in the GW window today. It's a lot smaller then I expected. It won't work the way I pictured above, the best I can do is to replace the Soulgrinder body, but then his front claws won't touch the ground.

Took a closer look at the Hellpit Abomination. It might be possible to attach the entire creature to the lower body of the Soulgrinder, since the underside of the Abomination has open spaces.

Sounds interesting. Even if it doesn't fit perfectly, gsing it should be feasible, right?

Well mate, if you will build a defiler like it I'm sure it'll come out amazing. As for the head why not use a great unclean one head maybe?

The problem with the head is actualy getting one from a GUO and then fitting it on the Abomination body. Since the body is rather small, I thought maybe I could just use the fly head from the Chaos Spawn sprue, but then I'd still have the problem of a lot of necks next to it, since the Abomination has like 6 heads or something like that.

You could use them as chaos spawn, or you could put some guardsmen on them and make them rough riders

Nah, for Rough Riders I'll probably convert the Forgeworld Krieg riders. Horses with Gasmasks? Sounds perfect

At least if I still can't get my hands on 5 mounted Nurgle Champions for a reasonable price.

Just a small update: I'm working on my Superheavy Tank again. The paintjob was only half done anyway.

And it's done. Okay, maybe not 100% done, but done enough.
Gotta say though, I'm really happy with this model. The colors look great, I can't wait to paint another tank for my traitor guard army. But I suppose I should invest some time in painting the infantry as well.

Lookin' good, though I feel the yellow tanks look a tad clean when compared to the res tof the model. I think some weathering would be nice to tie them in witht he rest of the model.

The Tri-gun looks really good...

I agree with C_Khaine about the yellow parts, they stand out too much and draw the attention from the rest, which is a shame considering the amazing details on that mini...
