It's only a guess given that *spoilerspoilerspoiler* happened in Batman 7.

I'm not entirely sure of the "spoilers" you're referring to, but I do know that

Spoiler:
In the first six issues it was shown that Dick was a prime suspect, and he is Nightwing is he not?

Dick is indeed Nightwing. (That's not a spoiler, btw.) And you are on the right track ... sort of! Muahahaha! I'll be glad to hear what you think when you read the issue.

Actually I just found that out. I don't read X-Men, so when I picked up my copy of Uncanny Avengers, they kinda revealed that for me :(

I'm trying to think... Cap is going to give up the presidency once the country stops being in shambles right? I just don't see him being a normal president. It's almost as if he SHOULD be simply acting president, very similar to how the Romans would suspend power to 1 man during times of war.

Well it was worth the exchange by Carol Danvers and Cap over comm-link(paraphrased);
Danvers: With all due respect sir get you ass back to Washington now!
Cap: Carol I have full confidence in you to run the country while I'm away
Danvers: I'm The Chief of Staff. That's not even my Job! What was that? Are you punching someone? Are you punching someone right now?!
Cap: Err, I gotta go!

Bought Carnage U.S.A. just because it had Venom in it. I really like Flash Thompson Venom (Flashnom?) and look forward to his team-up with Kaine.

Got some questions for you American readers, since German releases are so much behind (AvX is just starting).

How's War of the Green Lanters? I saw all 3 trades at the local store today and I'm still interested in reading something Lantern related, that doesn't star Hal Jordan. While we're at it: How's the Guardian series? You know, the one with Kyle (my favourite Lantern) leading the rainbow brigade.

No, I think that would be too radical for the main universe. It's only Ultimate Captain America that is President Captain America the Ultimate...or something like that.

Perhaps getting ready for the jump over to Marvel Now? I can't read the story due to work block.

Last Friday I picked up All-New X-Men #1, Action Comics #14, Batman #14, Wolverine Max #1 (does anyone know anything about this?), Ultimate Comics - The Ultimates, Iron Man #1 (the new Marvel Now).

Only read Action Comics so far, not a bad issue this month, I'm curious to see what Superman does.

Has anyone been reading the New 52 Batwoman comics? If so, would you recommend it? Is the Hydrology trade paperback the one I want as a starting point?

Spider-Man spoilers:

Spoiler:

Wow. That is incredibly lame. A body switch with the villian? Really? I mean... really?! How is that the next great thing everbody will talk about. And then he dies? Yeah, right. Like they're killing their most reconizable character for the 3rd time in 6 years.

Edit: I just thought about this a bit more and read another article on it. Does that mean that Doc Ock actually is the Superior Spider-Man and not Miguel O'Hara? Well... I'm still not interested. I like Otto as a villian, but I don't see any interesting developments in this story. Also a great way to scare of new readers.

Batwoman is an alright book. If you like the character, then you'll like the book. IIRC, Batwoman continued on straight from its pre-New 52 issues so you'll actually want to start with Elegy before going on to Hydrology and To Drown the World.

Spider-Man spoilers:

I haven't read Spider-Man since the 90s, but my prediction is that this is something that could have worked, but won't.

Spoiler:
The core idea is a sound one - if you've got the right hero and the right villain, letting the villain decisively, finally win in this manner is a fine one. I only have a passing knowledge of Doctor Octopus but he could well be such a villain, and as for Spider-Man... better, perhaps, to put him out of his misery rather than keep him in eternal stasis as "that guy who sold his marriage to the devil". But again, I haven't been keeping up with the character so it's possible that Marvel managed to get him past that.

But if nothing else, the timing sucks. Doing this the same time Avengers Arena is going to start killing off favourite C-list young heroes for sport is not a good thing, and who knows what else Marvel's going to turn upside-down for their Marvel NOW! imprint. If you're going to do this to one of your capstone characters I think your other comics need to be lighter fare, unless you're deliberately trying to tell your audience that comics aren't fun.

Thanks. I've only ever read a single Batman comic before, but I'd heard that this was one of the good things to come out of the New 52. Other comics I've read and enjoyed are Ultimates (before Loeb), Exiles and Runaways from Marvel, and Secret Six from DC.

I don't get what this Spider-Man "hooplah" is about. It's just a storyline. Everything will be back to normal in a few months.

To me, the whole new Joker storyline is a bit too much.

At first I was like, you haven't been reading comics very long, have you?

But then, I was like, but that comment means he has been...

Then I realized, it is just that crazy ol' Kontrarian Kanuk again!

I like it... I never liked Joker as a joke of a villain... Though to be fair, Cyporiean and Miskatonicalum were telling me last night that it wasn't as dark as the Killing Joke...

I honestly don't what you're going on about Alpharius. The author of the link provided by res8n made it seem like this is some apocalyptic Spider-Man event like Brand New Day. I think it's just a storyline though. How is that crazy contrarian? Unfortunately, Unwarrentedly Dismissive Alpharius isn't alliterative.
