It should please you that the designer of that tank now works for GW according to the Facebook page.

It does.
The tank looks 40ktastic and his skills will right at home at GW.
Hopefully making new sisters of battle church vehicles or something.

But if he goes to work for GW doesn't that mean he will no longer see his 3D sculpts for Maxmini? Unless of course he does both!

The Gothic KV2 is great. A lot of people will be happy to use it as is for a sponsonless counts-as Russ. Although I agree a sponson version variant would also be cool, I don't see any easy way of making such a thing, short of a total hull redesign.

I really like those Crew Members. Especially the guy on the far right. Looks like a conversion just waiting to happen!

The tank is nicely detailed, but the turret doesn't really seem to match the hull.

I hope that the turret sells separately as well. I would like to use them in my guard army, but still be legal for tournaments.

Im thinking that tank would make a great DKoK Ragnarok, with a bit of conversion work to add the extra weapons.

Thx for keeping this topic alive guys .
While I'm on the training courses the time I had for online activities is VERY limited. But hey, on the other hand this will result in many exciting things for us in the end .
Hopefully the rest of the team will be able to keep updates up.
Thx to Xmas holidays I had a chance to work on some. Here's a quick pic of the Boonie Hats sculpted by Kazube , straight from 3d printer. In the next couple of days I should have first casts .

@lone dirty dog: have to admit I haven't logged in here for months. It is due to training courses I've mentioned .
As for the custom options of the heads - I've send yo a pm. I think that Mati will be able to help - he has taken over such custom requests while I'm off getting new skills (3-4 months and the training will end) .

In a meantime - fists have been reprinted and went to production:

We also have a couple of full miniatures waiting for release. I've just got some first metal casts from Mati - I should be able to share soon .

Yes got it mate I will send him the info then they are looking pretty sweet even in the blue cant wait to see them with a pint job, I have to say as of late I felt you were falling by the road side a bit a little to quite, but if it is due to some intense training with good results I will forgive you mate LOL only if good results

I cant wait to see these figures you are hinting at, do we get any clues

I hope to see more in the Ork line, I did buy it on a bit of a whim to be honest (Ork fan you see) but when it arrived I was quite impressed and the conversion potential

Now can we have some more eye candy please

Those power fists are excellent. I'm going to have to dig through the maxmini website a bit more and see what else I've missed.

@lone dirty dog: yeah , I know. I felt that we're getting quiet too - trying to study and run the company is pain at times. The courses take 4 days of my week :/ . But on a good side - I'll ask rest of the team to keep on posting .
Oh, and as for minis - wait a tad mate. You'll be happy .

But getting back to news - a while ago we got a damn cool space ogre from Bob Olley. Atm Olek is working on the painjob, while Mati is casting those in white metal. So expect it soon

Apart from the feel what I love about this kit is its flexibility - you can assemble it in variety of ways as it comes with 4 different heads and 3 weapon variants.

Finally, decent Ogryn in production again. I'll be grabbing a couple as bone heads for my 1st edition Ogryn.

It has potential but I feel the hands and heads seem a little old skool in look, the body has great potential I like the armoured section.

How comes you are casting in metal these days ? I myself prefer resin even if it nocks the cost up, but I find it easier for converting.

Don't get me wrong Bob Olley produces some amazing characteristic models, but they have a more old skool feel to them (which I love in my dwarfs)

However when it comes to my 40k minis I feel the look would not match up so well, would there be any chance of buying the torso on its own ?

Space Ogre looks great - his weapons aren't doing it for me at all, but they'd be easy enough to replace.

Will there be other torsoes available too? A whole unit of the same pose would look a bit sad...

@lone dirt dog:You know that we're really customer-friendly when it comes to choosing the bits and making custom orders. But there's a limit of what we can do - we should avoid things that would cause mess. So no, I don't think we'll sell torsos separately.

As for heads - personally I love them. A matter of taste . My favourite is the one with goggles .

And when it comes to material choice - yes , it will be in metal. But don't exaggarate - most of the thing we do is resin.
Metal makes sense in lot of situations and the quality is still great .
For sure we'll do a lot of aribtrary material choices - but you have to trust me on that. I do such choices only for the good of a given project. I check which material would work better and I check how it casts. Those are 2 main factors taken into consideration.
So for example I think sniper rifles , ak guns etc will go eventually into metal. This will prevent damages to the model you convert (no snapped barrels and so on).
On the other hand big pa guns will stay in resin - as they are large they would make model topple over when cast in metal.

Another clasic example, but showing different issue, are greatcoat legs. Initially I wanted to make them in resin. But it has turned out they are a real pain in the a.. to cast in resin. We would have to convert them significantly, but that would destroy all the amazing sculpting job Gregor did. Another option would be to go through the roof with price (50USD?) - but that wouldn't sell.
But hey you can say - why won't you add such option? Maybe one customer out of thousand will be willing to pay this price (I doubt it).
Yeah, but the issue is the other 999 will think we're clinically insane . Moreover it could cause some confusion when searching for the item.

Of course this does not mean I'm always right. For example Ugruth should have been cast in metal (and maybe it will be).

So all in all you have to trust me mate - I'm doing it for the best of the project and to keep things running .

Also note I'm actively checking and looking for other material choices. If I find something that will work better I'll do my best to add it to our arsenal. That's one of the reasons why I'm going through training courses and learning all the time .

Hello, Ogryn. Depending on how the final sculpts looks I'll probably order a few. I just hope they have some non-bearded bald ones.

So the greatcoat legs are still in metal eh? Interesting. I needed more but hadn't ordered any because I thought they were resin now and the metal torsos I was putting on them would cause them to fall over...

The ogre is quite charmingly old-school. Not sold on the weapons, but otherwise it's a winner so far.

Don't get me wrong Przemas I was not saying all your stuff was in metal of late I was just wondering why the change in materials at certain times (all be it the legs and possibly this ogre ) now you explained why I totally understand the need for it.
I was only referring to the cost difference with the great coat legs on what you had once mentioned around the time of release, that there would be an option of resin but it would be a higher cost possibly in the future.
Now the issues have been highlighted I can see the reasoning behind it, finically it would be a disaster to produce them at that price.

Like I said my wish for resin is due to conversion work as not a gaming just a miniature lover, so the moving around issue is less of a problem for myself.

Plus the views are only my own and no way intended to be deliberating in any way, plus I always feel it fair to give feedback wether it is positive/negative or indifferent.

After all I love and enjoy most of your products hence owning quite a few, however I just found the ogre not to my taste.

However there are plenty of others who will love the look of that I am sure, plus the options for posing and weapon layout is a nice touch.

I did like the body of it which was why I mentioned the possible sale of parts individually, however I totally understand why you don't want to take this approach.

Also good luck with the training I am sure it will all pay off in the near future then we can see even more great stuff what is the ETA on the bonnie hats by the way

And thanks for the PM spoke to Mateusz he has replied back and so have I, now just waiting for the reply back fingers crossed ever hopeful.

I like the Ogryns, The hands look like they come directly from my RT-era bone 'ead figure sculpted by Bob. But the weapons are, frankly, rubbish. Bob can certainly do better than that. Here's proof:

Give them this weapon (or a very close cousin) and I'll be pleased as punch. I have the guy in the picture, and so I'd be happy to give him some mates.
