Lol. Everyone has to wake up and consider the wider world now and again. I'm going to have to get used to the idea of SMALL HANDS!!! and realistically sized guns (sometimes), long legs, correct proportions. Lack of gothic-ness.

well I just looked at reaper and although they are ultimate for variety, hasslefee is winning on sculpture. Reaper minis are a bit spindly and lanky. Hasslefree are more real looking.

Also reaper minis don't seem to wear much clothes - I disapprove, they will get cold nipples.

Aw, come on. We're just yanking her chain. She has done some wonderful figures from Bob Olley and I look forward to more non-GW minis. But you gotta admit, it's mostly GW stuff she's done.

Bronze Age Miniatures' Green Martians and White Apes of Barsoom He's not the best sculptor but no one is doing these types of minis. He is located in Utah in the States.

Victoria Miniatures Vic is sculpting fantastic non-GW customizable guardsmen. She is in Australia.

Otherworld Miniatures Because I am a softy for the old Dungeons and Dragons...and crustaceans. This company is in the UK.

Heresy Miniatures His minis have character and some actual characters.

Brushfire I'm not really a fan of anthropomorphic fantasy but Warhamsters and Red Wu were too much to resist.

I know! It would be great. I think she'd be in danger of falling in love with the product line though. Now that I've started painting them I look at all my Man-Hands Minis and go... "How... why?"

Truth be told I thought the same thing about the Infinity minis the first time I picked them up. I was all, "How the hell an I going to paint this?!" and "There are no skulls!"

But once you put a brush to em' you're like, "Oh... right. I can do this."

I haven't looked to see if it is clear on the Hasslefree site, weety, but they do have a couple of offers on at the minute - 10% off code on any order, or you can have a free goody bag on orders of £45 or more.

I have purchased a cheerleader with two uzi's, three armed school girls, a guy in a very sharp suit and that space pirate chick. They will make a lovely family group. I was tempted to get elvis. Next time. Got some paints on the way too.

Anywayhere are some atmospheric pre-paint photos of my selection of hasslefree. I just noticed that the guy looks like dirty harry - must be why he appealed to me. The space pirate lady with the dreads is made from blue resin and is much taller than the rest. Didn't realise this when I bought it. The whole package came with a free packet of popping candy - which was bizzare but fun.

For some reason my superglue doesn't want to work when its cold, so these where difficult to assemble and Green stuff was required.

Beautiful sculpting.

'Man' is...trippy. It is a mix of Bowie, transitioning out of his Ziggy Stardust period into...god only knows, really.
Boy and his dog is GOD AWFUL.
They Live - BEST MOVIE EVER. Ever. So quotable. BEST.
Soylent Green - Everyone knows the quotes. No-one remembers to bring kleenex. You will cry.

The chewing gum quote in They Live is one of the best one-liners in the history of cinema.

I love that movie.

Cool Weets! I have the Dirty Harry guy too, except I replaced the hand cannon with a sniper rifle to turn him into Allistair Tenpenny.

I stole the idea from TwoSpartan, (I actually stole all three of these ideas from him )

and I stole the sniper rifle from Brother Vinni's Wasteland sniper fig.

Nice conversion dstein - tenpenny maybe has on older face but you could mix some grey into the skin tone and have stark white highlights.

Briancj I was hoping a boy and his dog would be awful in a good way. But it was only 1.80 so I'm not bothered.

I had a feeling that They Live would be a classic.
