Very nice PDH! And take your time with your warbands, god knows I am! I particularly like the speakers, but they seem a bit dodgilly cast. Are you going to rectify this before continuing, as this guy is blue tacked together a the moment!

Neil - Cheers bud. It wont be finished for a little while though.

HF - And breath mate. The wraith is great and I've had this in mind for it since it came out. But not the time or inclination. I was just messing about and wanted to do something easy so just trimmed the parts and tacked them together...now back in my Inq bits box.

No Eldar planned for the Ordos Xenos warband...though I do plan on using an Eldar Ranger as a base for something. Whoot for fine cast! Following Bruticus' example I plan on using a Bolg to create an alien of the same race. One of the more bizarre ideas I am having is a floating alien made from the head of the Hell Brute and a cities of death street lamp.....but I am getting ahead of myself.

BTW I am sure the Eldar Rangers just get back in the Webway and go to the nearest Webstore when in need of some ammo and weaithbone polish

ghosty - Will do mate. The speakers were cut from the FW plague priests staff and tacked in place and as you pointed out are in need of some TLC.

inmygravenimage - Ha ha Doctor Who oh dear! I quite enjoyed the Christmas episode and I'm not intrigued as to what is going to happen in the next series.

very cool idea pdh, something that seems more than plausible in the world of 40k, looks really cool too!

Nah... I think I'll still keep going, despite the tingling in my extremities and the light-headed feeling I'm getting...

In all seriousness though... interesting ideas for the Hellbrute. I really like that model, (and the DV Chaos leader) despite having no inclinations to do anything Chaos-y at all. I can imagine what you're going for... effin' freaky, yo.

And a coffee-spit choke for the nearest Webstore... "Hey guys, um... I'll be back in the afternoon. I ran out of polish for my rifle and need a stick of bullets for my shuri-pistol." I was thinking they're long-retained, their capes get all craptastic, patchy, then they gotta pick up more mundane, brutish weapons of the humans, especially if they're in a tight firefight with their warband... might have to try it out for myself... and then convince you to refine the idea and produce something mindblowing with your unique matte/pasty painting style...

I like the look of the choir servitor, but don't forget you will need at least four more in your retinue to get proper surround sound.

Baiyuan - Well I should have an NPC character for you at the weekend.

RW - Yeah it seems the more unlikely the thing the more likely it is in 40k.

HF - I only have the head of the hellbrute it so much character I had to do something with it.

I know what you mean about rangers. Sort of like what I did with the Eldar Sniper in my chaos yggdrassillium warband

Bruticus - Made me chuckle too. I don't fancy making that many of them though

Ghosty - Shush we don't talk about failed projects. Actually he is still on the to do list along with a million other things.

Yea- the head in the cavity is possibly my favorite part of that mini... actually, I'm fond of nearly the entire thing except its funky backside. But yea, stick that to a lamp structure...

And yes! That's exactly it- tbh, I've only recently went back into your blog to find that Chaos band, and finally saw the conversion. That is pretty smooth... so, uh... nevermind. Carry on!

EDIT- Now to find a picture of John Blanche's inq retinue with a converted Angron...

Whoa... holy crap... Ghosty wasn't kidding. That looks freaking sick! I'll be his size makes him a pretty imposing inquisitor too... Wait- is this pic from the internets? Or your own camera? Tell me you actually play games with him and I might have to sacrifice my firstborn to honor you... if so, that's crazy. And if yes, what's he like?

Had a rather entertaining impromptu game on Saturday. Fulgrim came up with the scenario and Neil has done a lovely write up over on Opus Maius
http://opusmaius.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/arkke-walde.html. I got to dig out my old Slaaneshii Warband that I painted about 6 years ago...

Took the photos ages ago but never posted them:

I love those cow headed cultists. So much character, albeit slightly comical looking (especially the very short one).

Bruticus - they aint cultists they are Beastman....or more precisely Bovigors. In my youth Slaanesh preferred his beastmen to have the heads of cows and probably liked to get head from cows.

Actually the tall one on the left is technically a Minotaur! As I have got older chocolate bars have shrunk while Minotaurs have all gotten king sized as standard.

Oh yeah I remember those beastmen fondly, but I reckon if you have a beastman in a Slaanesh cult he is a cultist as well as a beastman. I have some Slaanesh stuff planned soon involving animal headed people.

Fantasy battle Warriors of Chaos armies nowadays look really unchaotic. All organised and uniform. I always loved the way Chaos used to be more chaotic, the segregation of beastmen and chaos warriors/marauders just seems strange to me.
