Still need to get into Warfare some day, I kinda stopped collecting Axis and Allied units after the FLGS had a hard time getting their hands on this stuff.

Our flgs stopped stocking it altogether as they couldn't get regular supplies of the stuff...
Sounds a lot like the curse of FFG!

I am getting into Dust Warfare myself. Love the background and models. Probably going with Axis. I know it's a game but I probably would not have given the Germans a second look if Operation Valkyrie had not been successful in the Dust lore.

Now thats funny, becouse in the Dust lore, Operation Valkrie was successful. So they can sell more copies, mostly becouse of the EU and how hard of a sell it would of been there.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

The fluff has received a massive rewrite when FFG got involved, as the old art book has a bunch of old fluff involving SS units post operation Valkyrie.

And the reason I will be playing them as well. I never got into Flames of War. If I did there was no way I would have been able to bring myself to play the German side. Again, I know it's just a game but I just would not be able to do that.

yay the new shooty zombies are much cooler, must get a squad to boss my less intelligent zombies around. Axis units may see an alarming need for repairs in the coming months as
the new wave of woman mechanics join the ranks

It seems like sooooo much stuff is coming out i wonder if ffg is going to be disappointed in the sales, nobody can afford to get EVERYTHING!

On the Dust-Models] site there's a new section called DUST ELITE EXCLUSIVES, it's empty as of now. Anyone got any idea what this might be?

el edit.

Also new, you can now register to the site.

2nd edit, el derp, I call bs on this plan of theirs, sorry.

today we introduce a new and exciting feature for the Dust community: Dust Elite. This club gives access to our most special items and is at the same time a fidelity reward program. As you know now, we at Dust Studio always try to do our best to satisfy our customers. Thanks to your support, your fidelity and your commitment we can offer some of the best products in this industry. We are here for a long time and we hope that you will stay with us the whole way. Since you have given us so much, it is time for us to give back: the Dust Elite club and fidelity program is our way of thanking you.

To become a part of this very exclusive club, you have to register on our website under the “Dust Elite” entry. The registration fee is 50 US$ for one year. Here are the advantages of joining the Elite:

all orders are free shipping over 150 US$, instead of 250 US$
you can order all items on our website that are still in the “Pre-Order” section. These are available to you first and will be delivered to you before all other customers.
you have access to a special section of the website where we offer very special items for members of the Dust Elite club only. Only you will be able to order these items. This line will grow over time.
and of course you'll get welcome gifts! A special t-shirt of the Dust Elite club, personalized with your name or nickname (your choice). As well as an exclusive coffee mug, also personalized.

When you enter the Dust Elite club, you will also automatically join our fidelity reward program. This program is based on how much you spend with us over the course of one year, starting with your subscription to Dust Elite. The subscription date will become your Dust Anniversary, which will be also the time to receive a special gift from us!

There are three stages to this program, based on how much you spend: Silver, Gold and Platinum.

If you spend more than 1.000 US$ during the year of your subscription, you will automatically join Dust Elite Silver status: you won't have to pay the registration fee of 50 US$ for the next year, but most of all you'll get a 10% discount on all purchase until your first Anniversary. You'll then start the next year already in Silver status (and again without registration) and retain the discount during that time.

If you spend more than 1.500 US$ over the course of the year of your subscription, you will automatically be on Dust Elite Gold status: again you won't have to pay the registration fee of 50 US$ for the next year and you will then get a 15% discount on all purchase until your Anniversary.

And if you spend more than 2.000 US$ over the course of the year of your subscription, you will automatically join Dust Elite Platinum status: again you won't have to pay the registration fee of 50 US$ for the next year and the discount will be bumped to 20%.

If during the year after your first Anniversary you should spend less than 1.000 US$, you'll loose all special benefits. Note also that the benefits for each other status (Gold and Platinum) can be lost if you don't meet the requirements noted above: you'll then be downgraded to the former status (Silver if you were Gold and Gold if you were Platinum).

Joining Dust Elite is a great opportunity to have access to all of our products before anyone else and at a great price. To become a member of the Dust family is simple: just click the button below and register on the Dust Elite page. See you there soon!

Finally, acknowledgment that spending too much on models makes you a better person and worthy of rewards! My only concern is that the entry point is too low, allowing filthy commoners to undermine the exclusive nature of this club. I want to be certain that I'm only associating myself with people that throw out their armies after every game and buy them new again for the next one.

I really want to know what the exclusive models are.

Otherwise, I really don't see how any sane person can spend any of those price points on dust, there just isn't $2000 word of it to buy.... not like Forgeworld where a $2000 model can happen!

Agreed, I've bought a few things from them, but all put together this is less than $100, so good luck getting the 1k, which you won't hit that soon unless you buy the Premium stuff enmasse.

I'm especially taken aback by their registration fee. Some nerve they got.

I'd guess it's really a special club for retailers

but they're letting insane consumers join too

On a serious note, if the exclusives at a: good and b: not restricted to 1 per customer then it could be less ridiculous for a group of friends/ gaming club to get a single membership.

Except that isn't really a 'wholesale' website designed for retailers, this is specifically aimed at hobbyists and the 'community' for all we have given them.....

Good point there - a group signing up together might be the way to go, IF it ends up being 'worth' it?

Seems awfully reminescent of Call of Duty: Elite and leaves a sour taste for that alone. So they're going to be charging us for the 'privilege' of buying exclusive miniatures and discounts on DLC/mappacks?

Many hobbists and gamers don't like to be reminded that their expenditure is in the thousands.

Dust Warfare isn't even very big yet, it seems like a very, very sour idea.

Very sour idea, they don't even have elite exclusive models available yet.

Question about this boxed set:

Does it contain both models, or just swappable heads and gun barrels?

Good question. You'd hope two bases as the models are in different poses, but the allied Light Walker box showed two models, one of which is a pose you can't actually buy!

According to Front Toward Enemy you do actually get both weapons teams in the box. they also come on a mid size base, not the walker sized ones which is interesting. Wonder what else is due to come on these?
