I must paint the CDF/Weytani Republic troops, they need to look good when the commander inspects them!

I ordered a command team, as well as personalities and some drop troopers

Okay, now the 25man platoon carrier has 1 x Heavy bolter and 3 x Heavy flamers mounted on it, so for the main turret, I need to see which of the 2 weapons will be a good choice, the long ranged flame cannon? or the longer ranged and also lethal twin-linked auto-cannons?

Decisions, decisions.....

Hmm both work, the cannons compliment the bolters, but the flamer goes with the other flamers. I guess if you give it the cannons it could theoretically snipe out other troop transports so it's cargo could more easily take an objective... Leaving the flamers as point defense and proof against assault elements that aren't particularly hardened.

I like the bulkiness of the flame canon. If the twin guns were chunkier, I'd say use them.

I can make a turret pattern that can accommodate either one, it will need ballast at the rear as the weapons are solid metal. There is something about the screeching woosh and burn of the super-flamer, which is also in competition with the enemy transports being hit to the sound of "Pom-pom-pom-pom!"

I made a turret frame, and the weapons are shown in them as seen below

Lol, give in and make it the superduper ridiculous flame tank then Just make sure the crew have firefighters gear on as the flaming mess they're gonna debark into will be hot hot

I second the mad flamethrower tank of doom idea. Even though I like the way the double stubbers make the turret look like a Panzer I Ausf. A, the rest of the vehicle is too massive to suggest such a thing would only have light weapons. Unless it was solely a transport.

Well. Time to root for the majority vote, even though that autocannon looks awesome. When in doubt burn the heretic out.

Thanks all, I will have to make putty for ballast in the back segments of the turret before putting on the armor plates around the back and top, so as to balance that massive Heretic Cooker it is quite chunky and has weight to it!!!

Oh and Warboss, those were actually normal scale Auto-Cannons, the MGs I have are dual paired HMGswhich oddly enough have brass catcher boxes on the spent casing ports.

Oh and as I plan on another Hanomag of Dreamforge in the future, I got some nice weapons for it. Plus bases for more minis from other places that do not have bases with their minis.

True, Secret Weapon comes close just selling the turrets with the weapons so you get more of the things and surplus weapons to deal with. Gonna make a modified Chimera variant to hold another squad and a turret built for another SWM weapon.

You know, you could always go all the way with this and give it two turrets. That way, you get to use both weapon types.

@Stormwall: Rear ramps for the troops it carries, armor plates and other details for the Treads and engine covers, the over the treads sections will have hatches so the crew and passengers can stow extra gear.

@Barzam: Too much turret support would reduce the goal of the thing from carrying a platoon down to a squad. So the miniature servo-flamers on the sides and the one single turret will be it.

I like the idea of the dual-twin-linked stubbers, but the brass catcher seems kind of unnecessary. I mean, with the amount of rounds that thing would put out, what's the point of holding onto it all? Also, they'd get clogged really, really quickly. Sometimes it seems like sculptors don't put enough effort into their designs.

Which is why I would either scratch the rectangle in the middle of them dow some, or paint them pure black to show they ate spitting the brass out rapidly as they fire, kind of like the MG-42 and it's rate of speed firing.

Hey Grim, I was busy working the BIG carrier, but I am a big fan of "Starblazers"/"Yamato 2199" and I collect the 1/1000 fleet for my own pleasure of collecting, the little ships are to try out paint schemes such as a reddish dreadnought, a camouflages one in greens in splinter patterns, maybe a blue one.

The curved armor of the turret is the most attention grabbing part as I must hold the plastic in the right way as the glue bonds the plastic sheet to the "ribs" for that shape. My next turret is going to be done more conventionally as faceted armor plates attached to the sections as I am working on a shorter turret to give to the latest project to come after the platoon carrier APC. I am using the SecretWeaponMiniatures Multi-Laser for it.

My drop troop team and command team are out for delivery as I type this reply! I will give "Gunny" the Minigun I have waiting for a holder.

Dear god Shas do you ever stop buying models every time I catch up here you have 3 different projects on the go to last time and about 7 supply drops

The APC is coming on nicely and like the turret arrangement however still think it needs bigger tracks mate, I like the way you build with the intention of optimal use with weapon choices

Now the new mini ships all I see is speeder bike conversions especially the grey ones were they cheap models and are they easily available ?

At this rate Agent G will be appearing in vogue, I bet he is a right diva these days

The chimera is still looking rather chimera at the moment but I know that will all change shortly.

Wow, you've been busy today. How long until we see that torpedo bomber from the triple decker? I didn't know Bandai actually made any larger models of the Gamillan planes (it seems they're 1/72 releases must've been scrapped).

I'm really looking forward to seeing your drop troops. What colors are you planning for them?

Still a bit busy, took a tad short break though as I have assembled so many things in a days go!





Now for the MRM drop, I did assemble the teams. Here goes another interesting bunch of specialized troops

From right to left we see several of the tanker or in this case pressure helmeted troops, 2 drum fed PPsh-400's and one sickle clipped PPsH-400 on the left of them is drop trooper Dallas with the plasma rifle and his pall Stone in the beret of the drop troops

Moving from Dallas and Stone, who also likes a good PPsH-400 with a drum to dish out gratuitous ammo volleys, we see their boss, Lt Duvall with his officer load out, and his favorite mirrored sunglasses and cavalry hat, next to him is Radioman Statham, who took a sickle clip PPsH-400, and we start to see Gunnery Sgt Irmey

Lt Duvall is almost cut out on the right, Statham is still seen, and we see "Gunny" living you to his name with the mini-Assault Cannon, followed by two more troopers using a drum feed and sickle feed each

Of course I will surprise all with a color scheme for the drop troopers, the command team with be in standard Khadrovian color kit, but the drop troops for the most part are wearing specialized gear for the cold of dropping in on targets, yet at the same time, some of the gear looks suspiciously like Weytani gear, except the PPsH-400's which is Khadrovian designed.
