Yeah it was very close, my favourite kind of game.

Since the tournie is now postponed this sunday, anyone want to meet up for a couple games. Figured since I had already booked off the day might as well not let it go to waste .

Is this the second time Legends has postponed one of their 40k tournaments?

First that I know of, why does it matter?

Earlier the better since they are only open till 6. So i would prefer 11 am but as long as we get a game in I'll be happy. If others are coming we could also try and set up a larger game or maybe get 2 games in.

I had a few friends who were trying to convince me to go. I'm studying right now in London and I would have been pissed to make the drive to find out they canceled. DXM usually posts stuff here and I didn't see an update that the tournament had been pushed back.

And looking back now I can see that they did push back another tournament - their "farewell to 5th ed tournament" back in July. DXM did post here that they had pushed it back, though.

Normally i would but i plan on reading the eldar codex i picked up today and learning what my army does and can do.

So i hit up HSG for a look at the used mini's they had, and picked up 4 guardian jetbikes, and 2 war walkers. They had a bunch of regular guardians but i don't feel like i really needed them for the list i'm building at this time.

As for tomorrow spender, if you're playing fantasy before hand i might just pass on legends tomorrow. You don't sound like you are sure on whether you are coming or not, or when you will be there. It's too far of a drive to make without knowing for sure .

Ya, I got stuck at home, but I just left HSG myself. Stocked up on stuff from their bits bins. Lots of work to be done.

Anyone interested in playing a proxy game with me this week? All the proxies will make sense, i.e Doom Scythe will count as a Heldrake, Necron Warriors will be cultists.

That will give us about 3 hours to finish our game. I'll try and read up on what weapons I have before we game so I don't slow us down by having to check . Sounds good to me i'll meet ya at 5 on Wednesday.

What is going on??? I've been away for a bit and all of a sudden you are collecting Eldar????? Spender has money... people are cheating.... Kungfu probably still takes 2 hours to set up his army... what the heck???

I am back from a long trip to the East Coast. I am only in town for the next few weeks and then I am off to Alberta for a bit. Where the heck is Joffrey (and my Khymerae)? and where is that little Built-in bugger (and my warmarchine character)?? I have missed all you guys. Hope to be back at Legends playing again soon (like maybe this weekend!).

What time is everyone else showing up?

I almost forgot, I was at Heavy Support Games the other day talking to the guys there and he told me they're planning on starting an escalation league. Since I've never been in one before, I'm very interested and or excited at the idea. Just letting people know to check out their website. Are people interested?

Ooo, i've always been a fan of them but it depends a lot on what point levels they escalate by and how it's run in general.

Anyone interested in gaming this weekend, wouldn't mind getting in some games on either saturday or sunday, whichever works best .

Hopefully I'll be around on sat. So how did you like the eldar? I heard you screaming about epic and bladestorms.

lol well i can't complain to much, the army i've come up with does some crazy shooting, i had 8 kill points in about 2 turns of shooting. Sadly for the next 3 turns i didn't kill anything and instead got stuck in melee which appears to be a soft spot in my army. As for bladestorms all i got to say is 33 shots with 10 guys hitting on 3's and wounding t4 models on 4's with an ap 4 weapon is just nasty. Overall i enjoyed the army, and i think they performed well for their first battle, though fliers could also be another problem for me.

Maybe i'll take a look at their website and see what all the fuss is about, let me know if you are free on saturday for some games, i should be around.
