I don't know much about Minecraft, but here goes!
My daughter recently upgraded to version 1.5, and now she can't get the console to appear, at all!
Usually pressing the "/" key would activate it but now... nothing!
Any idea on what's going on?

In single player mode, this used to be brought up by pressing the "/" key...

AFAI can remember, '/' was just another shortcut for the chat bar.
Was it where you typed stuff like '/give <playername> <itemid> <amount>' ?

Hmm, it works for me. Has she checked what she's got hotkeyed? Head to the game menu, hit options and then controls and see what's hotkeyed for chat and command (command simply being chat but with the slash already typed for you).

I figured it out!
My daughter had put the chat setting to 'hidden' because the last time she was on a multiplayer server people were F-Bombing up a storm.
Mystery solved!
Crisis averted!

Anyone know whereabouts Jambayemon was looking for quartz when he died last Saturday night? It'd've been around 10pm GMT. I know GangstaMuffin helped out by stashing Jambayemon's stuff in a chest surrounded by cobble... but we now can't find it. Jambayemon remembers the co-ords being something like 102, 64, -98, but that can't be quite right (could it be 1002?) 'cos it's in the middle of the more civilised area of the Nether, where there will be no quartz (also I looked there and found nowt).

My Sky Trap is now operational and ready to get all the mob drops you want! All of the drops are collected by hoppers and brought to one chest so all you have to do is afk and collect the drops when you are done!
