I'll need more than a single day to recruit a new army, so maybe next week?

Yeah, scheduling it for next week might be a better idea, it'll give others more time to prepare again too (if they expended all their arrows etc).

If we did it today, those in Australia might not be able to join in, because it will be Monday morning for them. So a Saturday evening (Europe) is best for most people. (it's Saturday daytime for Americans, and Sunday morning for Australians). Timezones are awkward

IHateNids, yeah I'll return your stuff, send me a PM with what you lost because I think you died too soon after gathering it from your house for it to have been backed up.

Could I request that the reset doesn't happen just yet? I am still in the End, and don't want to be attacked by a dragon as soon as I log on.

Storm, would you mind if I cleared the cobwebs from the stronghold library? I have a project in mind that will use a LOT of the things and the library is the best source I can think of.

Mineshaft spider spawners have a load cobwebs too. ...Though they also have the issue of ...well the spiders.

Ah, good. A week to prepare! Maybe next time I'll actually be able to do more than die (don't worry, I'm sure there'll still be plenty of that )

Alrighty then. So, Minx was awesome and put up a redstone circuit that worked perfectly for my 2 block lift device. However, there's one problem.

This: is the setup I'm using. Matches the one Minx designed as far as I can tell in all working respects. However, in order to get the signal to the bottom pistons without having to go through a ridiculous amount of redstone rigamarole, I used one of these: Dealios.

This seems to have caused an issue with the timing, as only one of the pistons pushes out or in (on one corner) and none of them go the full two blocks up or down. I tested an exact copy of Minx's design, and that works fine. The issue here is getting the signal to the right 4 pistons at the right time.

Any timing things people can see that would cause issues or that I could use to fix issues with my current setup? Or should I just see if I can manage to get the redstone to go directly onto the pistons?

Ah, I see the problem here.

It's fethed.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Yes, funny thing is I said that one section was the problem, changed my mind and tried tinkering with another area. Guess which area was causing the problem?

I think it's probably time to get back into vanilla redstone again... last time I used it would have been before the tekkit server and (mainly because of Redpower, but also because of the 1.6 update) I don't know much about how to use it...

I've collected stacks of nether quartz and redstone to get started again.

Also, on another note, does anyone have a book with infinity on it they'd be willing to trade me?

Still not sure exactly how the Comparators work, or what use they are aside from making computing devices.

I know they can tell if a chest (or hopper, furnace, etc.) has items in it, but other than that I'm unsure.

Under bug fixes it says: "MC-36482 – Upon exiting (shift click) minecart, the range and criteria is drastically off, up to 8 blocks away" so I'm assuming that's a yes

They fixed the bug that minecarts (and other "mounts") eject you too far away, however they did not fix the bug that when ejected, it does not check that the destination is air. So you can still be ejected into a wall if you are too close to one. Be careful.

Technically it's about a month or two old, but I actually didn't work on it other than like 2 minutes a minecraft day for a few hours, just feeding all of 'em. Now you can't feed most of them from outside, and when you go in you can't get out without killing 15 or so to clear the gate. I've since put a door in, but they still spill out.

Put a ring of slabs along the fence with a one block gap between the slabs and the fence. It'll give you just enough height to jump over the fence, but the one block gap will prevent the cows jumping over.

Well, that was Gak...
Finally got the bow I was after (infinity) only to get mobbed by witches, zombies, skeles and creepers, get stuck in a hole, a skele steal my awesome bow and then despawn...

EDIT: Moral of the story: Skeles and Witches are annoying as hell

So you got mugged? Great; the server is now a crime and gang haven.

Essentially, yes.
I was half way home, too, and only about 30 blocks from safety (though because of the mobs I was forced to run back to spawn, only for a skele to snipe me mid-jump across the river...)
