I will get you the sugar cane. I will make an automated farm sometime at spawn.

I will base it on sethblings design.

Though mostly I will try my best to get anything to aid you because I sorta new prismarine and don't want to spend six hours to get a stack.

I have a portal up the North Tunnel. You follow the sign for Sky_Slasher78 (Me) then about halfway along the path to my house there is a left turn marked by a torch which leads to the farm project.
And the co-ords for the overworld are x: -1320 z: -2883.
Lots of sand and gravel is appreciated!

I got a ton of sand that I can spare. Probably a double chest full.

I completely forgot about the sugar cane, sorry ... will be sure and farm some up and include it with my next gravel delivery.

Currently though I am working on this.











As you can see I am doing quite a bit of work in this area. And surrounding the island with a wall so that it looks quite big.

The walls I am going to make considerably more detailed, and add towers and battlements, but I am currently just testing to see what looks better.

Made a delivery of gravel and sugar cane to the work-site (there was a slight overspill so I popped another chest down) let me know if you need more.

Incidentally, the path to your house looks terrifying ... you actually use that thing?

I will try to deliver a load of gravel tomorrow night.

I got around 6-8 chests of gravel- now that the rail line isn't going to be overland, feel free to take some- I might try to get a few inventories delivered as well- do you have an Enderchest nearby that I can use?

I'm not sure if this is good for the game, bad, or other.

If there's continued consistent updates, no monetisation, putting the food down on mod makers and youtube videos, or stripping away the original developers for their own then ...yeah whatever. Allow Mojang to do their thing and this shouldn't go too horribly. It seems like an odd business move on Mojang's part (I thought things were going pretty well for them all things considering already. They're one of the indie scene's largest success stories), but that's only based on my own limited knowledge of them, and is that money all too amazing? The whole thing seems rather odd, but we'll see (and if it is true then hopefully the new owners won't pull a "future updates will be made exclusively for the Windows 8 and Xbox One platforms"). =P

Plus Notch has said it isn't all about money for them, it's about the game. So if the sell to Microsoft it will probably be because they think it's best... hopefully.

Wouldn't be the first time someone has gone back on his word and shown himself to be a massive hypocrite when offered a pile of cash.

We'll just have to wait and see how strong Notch's principles really are.

I dunno, Notch does look like a guy who wouldn't say no to a diamond studded hat... Not a full set of Diamond Armour mind, but I'm sure he could buy himself a hat and part of the way to researching a Silk Touch pick.

Oh and does Notch still own the game? Huh, I thought he gave it all the Jeb, but I guess that was just the development reins. Fair enough, guess Jeb can just have a wooden pick or something for his trouble.

Notch no longer has anything to do with Minecraft really, but he's still the owner/shareholder of Mojang.

Did I just hear "All New Dirt Expansion, only $19.99"? Uh, let's hope for the best, and that Notch signed a very secure contract which doesn't push Mojang by the wayside. Obviously this is Microsoft trying to prop up the Xbox One, so let's expect them shifting more support to that platform. It'd be silly though to consider the PC (even if Minecraft does wind up becoming a Window's exclusive for some reason) will fall by the wayside however given how popular the modding community is (or is Microsoft one of those companies which hates mods because it means there's point in $19.99 expansions which add a single new retextured dirt block-actually just the old dirt texture).

Sorry for the delay. Wasn't sure if you'd logged in and played since then, so I've put your stuff in a chest next to your playerskull.

As for the other stuff above, I'd take any news reports with a pinch of salt until they're officially confirmed by either company. You only have to look back a week or two to the supposedly "complete" Google-Twitch deal that was never confirmed (but reported as done and dusted by many news sources). That turned out to fall through and Amazon bought them instead.

The entire Mojang staff have gone almost complete radio silence since the rumour was announced, so it's almost certain that something is going down and they're not allowed to talk about it. However, if they are up for sale there's surely more than just one bidder involved.

We'll just have to wait and see what comes of it.

No I hadn't I wasn't going to make that mistake again. The first time this happened I lost a good Diamond sword.

Another lag related issue, Nether Portals. Ever since the update to 1.8 I've done serious rubber-banding every time I go through a portal. Anyone have this issue?

Also, I know in the past we've discussed a battle area. I'd be willing to wall off a small area to use as a natural battle area. Anyone still interested? I can't do much more than a simple wall but that I can do

I have the problem with portals even when I'm experiencing no lag at all, there's also the problem where I go back and forth between the nether and the overworld because of the lag.

Does logging off and back on again after using a portal help resolve the problem?

It's not terribad, just annoying mostly

I rubberband 2-3 times after going through a portal then it works fine

Interesting, I have no problems at all using portals.

Portals screw my up as well :/ I normally have to re-log a couple of times till im ok.

i play 1.8 online, not this server but one of me and my friends running, yes some portal issues, framerate lag but not too massive.

new stuff outnumbers the bad.
