You know, allocating too little to a program can cause issues with that program if it actually needs those cycles/bits to function properly. It might be that you need to allocate more to MC.

So is this some sorta mod pac/dakka server? How do I sign up?

I personally have been playing ALOT of Jurassicraft. My god the dino designs are Amazing.

There's two different servers hosted for Dakka members- This is the thread for the basic Vanilla server- there's also one for a Modpack server, but it hasn't been quite as busy lately- the modpacks have just been getting kinda bloated, and the fact they update so frequently in ways that require server resets means that the sort of years-long mega building most of the Dakka-ites seem to gravitate towards aren't really possible.

In addition to the daily and weekly player graphs here: https://www.darkinnit.com/players.html, the server also keeps stats for the past year.

There was a great drop in interest in the vanilla server last year, but it's kind of interesting to see it steadily picking up again this year:

You can also see the modded server's jumps in interest whenever a world reset happened, followed by the gradual loss of interest once people get their stuff established.

More often than not I see Dutch on, but I think SirRalphy being on more than 50% of every day makes sure that number NEVER goes below 1.

Been playing the resonant rise modpack, in a "community" server, after the host saw the yogscast. We have over 15 people on the community, which is why I've not oft been on.

So I'm gonna start up a FTB world in creative... and build a truescale Redwall Abbey

Ooh.. Why not do it on the Vanilla server? I'm sure nobody would begrudge you the red sandstone, and Redwall's not really overly-big. I'll even help, since I'm a bit of a fan.

Unless you were wanting to eventually re-create all of Mossflower and the rest of the.. everywhere from the books?

You know, there's this Minecraft server hosted (sporadically it seems) by the Museum of Science Fiction that's Star Wars themed. I don't suppose you'd be willing to replicate that sort of style over there, would you?

I want to to it in creative. It'll make it WAY easier. I can try and host a server thingy on my PC if you wanted to help a bit. But I couldn't leave it up for long periods of time is the issue there

I then used mcflash 6.1 to read the schematic which breaks it down level by level. It even tells you how many blocks you'll need. I switch the 45,442 blocks of white wool with snow blocks, because fires suck.

If you have MC edit, and it's your world, you can just download the schematic and paste it into your world. I highly recommend this option

I don't want to build it again, even in creative, there's spots on the schematic where it looks like a creeper got him, and he repaired it and didn't match the other side. and I'm still trying to figure out why he did the engines the way he did, I'll be spending some time trying to make that a useable space. he sealed off all the engines so there is no way to get to them which seems like a huge waste of space to me.

When I get the urge for another space ship, it will have to be a imperial ship. either the YE-4 gunship or a decimator so I can relive my galaxy days

yep, everything behind the antenna was sealed off, the engines take up 1/3 of the ships space. the schematic was really odd, he wired up 3 engines with redstone to control the lamps, but they didn't go anywhere, and they were never turned on. I've tunneled into all of them today so I can try and do a control room for the engines. Of course my idea for the engines would be a lot of pistons firing constantly and pushing some blocks back and forth along the length of the engines, and over 11 engines might be enough to crash some peoples computers from the lag

You should get the mod that allows you to attach a steering wheel to anything and fly it.

That would be the Airships mod I think. Archemedes Ships or something

I've used that mod, it does work but has a limit, archemedes mod is about 1064 blocks or there about as far as my version

As a joke I wanted to put skeletons or heads into the build to make it seem like workers died during the creation of it XD

As I plan on expanding the wall considerably.

Make it Warhammer-inspired by constructing the walls solely out of skulls.

Use Soul Sand. Don't Soul Sand blocks contain ghostly faces, like trapped souls? Might make a nice Tzeentch theme.

Nope! I am making a wall around my city.

I tried to install Archimedes ships. But the dang thing crashes when i mount the ship. Kinda bummed. I was hoping to make my Jurrassic PArk even MORE awesome with boat tours and Flying machine tours.

Try getting a modpack that uses it. Feed the Beast or something like that

It is a gold/xp farm, now open to the public.

It took 5 months to dig the 200x200 bedrock to bedrock pit and a single diamond buys you entry.

What do you get for your diamond?
You can go from level 0-30 in under 5 mins, there's an enchanting table available so you can get xp while you're enchanting.
Anvils are available now, but it wouldn't hurt to bring one just in case.
You get gold, lots of gold, with a crafting table nearby to make blocks and carry the gold out easier. you can get 32 blocks an hour.
Then there's the zombie meat, lots of it and 3 clerics ready to buy it all. So you can convert to emerald blocks. They'll probably be locked on the meat trade, but you can use some of the gold you get to reset them. or bring some emeralds to get them started.

There is an instruction/guide book above the golden door to answer most of the questions. But if your still not sure it's worth the diamond, ask me for a tour and I'll show you around the place.
