That is true. Union flag at all other times. Although they are quite interchangeable.

i have thought about adding banners to that knight...probably in the space between the stacks?... a loincloth could be arranged too... tho i am having doubts that this would look a bit weird...

i´ve worked on the union jack... it got stripes of black on the neck part ... will get you some pics of that soonish^^

and yeah... fluffwise the story goes as follows:

"queen victorias beloved king and husband died at an early age... her one true love died and left her in a constant state of mourning... during his living days the royal blue was the kings favorite color... due to the immense hurt received following the death of the king... queen victoria ruled that blue as a color has to be banished from the whole empire...thus the blue in the union flag got replaced by black... and put the whole everlasting empire in a constant state of mourning too..."

and of course the whole empire is a fascist moloch

by the way... later on the queen got ill... a severe lung disfunction... which needed to be kept at bay in an iron lung... but as a side effect this kept her alive for many millenia... 40 to be precise

Lol. I do have some flags/banners in my future and I did help myself to the info that Klaus pointed out (Thanks Klaus). But it would be nice to see someone else going through the process, if you know what I mean . Tell you what, if I get to flag making before you I'll let you know how it goes. You are, however, nearer to it than me.

well.. i did a flag for my kids... i made a pirate ship for them... and for this i made a jolly roger flag... out of tissue paper and lots of PVA to make it stiff and sturdy...

Good effort. Does the job.

Vik, you could do a couple of pendants hung off the smokestacks in the back. Make it similar to a samurai sashimono(I think that's what heir backpack banners were called). Just don't make them too long o h wind might blow them over the face of the knight. Then you could paint them with some soot on them.

On the banner point, just for reference, and totally not in the same league as yourself, but here is my attempt at this sort of thing. I don't think he is quite as tall as your guy.

Forgive my ignorance because you have so many people and things going on your thread that I usually have to start 2 pages back, Lol, but how long does it take you to build something like that? The fortress is looking good too btw. I'm assuming they,ll be riddled with guns too.

Love the Arabian looking bunker has a certain desert outpost feel to it, I am interested to see how the corner guns turn out and where are you adding the tower you mentioned?

Glad to see the Knight has received a lick of paint for he had been retired to the draw of forgotten projects

weerrrrrlll...that knight took me quite some time... to be honest it could have used quite some more time put in the build too... but sometimes you just have to stop ... i bet that this knight took well over 50h to get it to a priming level...
the curret working hours put into the fort... well... cardboard gets sometimes quicker results... and then you have to wait for ages for the glue curing... next titan/knight will definatly be made from PCD... ´with that you egt to a respectable point quicker...a bit

your absence was duly noted... and i am shocked... tstststs...

as for the lasgun... i have reached a certain point where i need to add stuff... correct some error on the barrel/muzzle...means i have to pry open the front of the gun again... and i am shying away from that...also i need to do some extensive sanding... that didn´t motivate me atm^^... but that needs to be done eventually^^

The Bastion thingy looks cool too! I liked the weapons systems on the bastions better, but they look great!

I get a bit sidetracked of late with so many subs pretty shinny things plus everyone seems to beat me to the reply and you fill like you're repeating what they said.

@ Vik I totally understand as your reservation to ripping the muzzle apart, but some times it pays to bite the bullet no pun intended and after your last props I have no worries it will come good

Are you still planning on selling your terrain piece ? Or have you grown to love it ?

my wife recently finished a full camo set of clothings for my kids... now they need some toyguns that are sturdy and strong... that is a new sideproject too^^...

and the tower to the fort... not gonna happen on this one... tho four small towers for the gunports are curing atm...pics of that later on!

update time for the knight...

note...all joints and other details you see now as black... these will today painted in brass... making the knight look a bit more pompous and shiney^^

also... the sword is almost finished... brassing up some details there too...but the force effect i consider finished...

and i decided to make the base look more brownish... to better let the red pop...thoughts?
