I don't think they make the storm troopers out of kryptonite, they have other plans for that . I would need the uses for flyers Vik, and those are downloadable, but for about $40.00. I could own load them free, but I don't believe in pirating . And buying their limited edition books is . It's why I have given up on the black library. I don't wan hardback, and all the nonsense of limited print run books available for huge sums of money at conventions in other countries her you have to pay more money to get in is bogus as well. Plus those limited books are only. Few dozen pages at best, and some dont bring nothing worthwhile. done.

The only thing that makes me buy a little from GW is that even though I hate the big bad GW and complain, when I go to the store the manager kind if puts a face to the name GW, and since I like him I try to buy some stuff there... ( how ever my biggest buys do go to the 20% off )
All I can say is if the GW ship sinks, I will continue on without them

Easist way is to just set a limit to it, the more their prices rise well the less you can fit into it until nothing does.

I have between 500-600 plastic space marines, when I buy its usually through one of the bits dealers who breaks boxes and I get an even better deal. I would go through GW if they returned to the days of the mail order trolls. When I bought an adeptus arbites army 125models, the troll marked them down below half price for me. And this was back when they were cheap. Now if you ask the laugh .

I like the look of dust tactics, I just love the look of dreamforge stuff better. And the kickstarter prices were easy to absorb. I just don't WANT to stop my GW purchasing because building my chapter was a crusade for me. Guess I'm taking a breather from the crusade for a while.

The DUST tactics building panels are something I've been wanting to get my hands on for some time.

Okay, everything got boxed when we moved and so little motivation by GW for me to get them out again. I'm sure someone will send the inquisition after me for the Hersey of how I transported them

Here's the stuff on sprues still. 8 drop pods, half dozen rhinos, couple old ravening battle forces, and marines probably 200 or so.

Box is 18"x18"x24"

Complete first company, only half assembled, rest of parts in ziplock baggies.


Complete battle company of mark IV armor (red scorpions before new kit released).


Dreadnoughts I think 7-8, 3 forgeworld


Boxes are all marines, one is chaos marines, one box is all basic shoulder pads and gun arms. One is bolt guns and legs.


Brown cardboard box is my slaanesh daemonnettes, all Juan Diaz (might be willing to sell), the sprues next to it is all the old dark eldar.



Note the only metals here are the daemonnettes. All the metal marines are boxed far away in the storage room.

Have I met this challenge. Please don't make me put them on display, it would be epic, but a pain in my .

@rogue wolves, oddly enough they are called Theophony, I took it as my screen name because I couldn't figure any other name out. Theophony means the physical manifestation of God. Man I must be full of myself to use that name huh? We each are made in his image so I'm not claiming to be God, far from it. The Theophony are called that because they were made into their primarchs image, and he was revered as a god. Yes they were one of the lost chapters. They were removed from imperial record because they refused to destroy all religions, their primarch had been raised upon a world that had been settled by evangelists millennia ago, and the religion stuck until he fell from the sky. People though he was fulfilling revelations, but he "knew" one more powerful was coming(the emperor). During the planning phase of the great crusade he rebelled, which got him slapped by the emperor and put into stasis, the emperor not wishing to destroy his son. His legion had a choice, be swallowed by the word bearers (they were the loyal ones killed of before the Hersey), or be sent on a 10,000 year crusade. Helps explain why the word bearers had so many legionnaires. Most left including the inner council and their admech support army.

Fast forward 10k years and the empire sees ancient stc come back. The marines are the remnants of the original legion and their gene seed. The high lords of terra have forgotten, or keep the primarch a condition secret, but allow the returned chapter to take a fortress world and return in exchange for the information, and because the emperor said so. None of the other chapters recognize the heraldry or names as they were erased from record. The theology of the Theophony still grates on the high lords, but the stc and technology returned has gained them favor with the high lords and mars.

This allows the strife between marine chapters to exist so I can fight other marines, or be loyalists. They don't revere the emperor as a god, quite the opposite, he is actually seen as a usurper, but that is not known outside the inner circle.

Forgot their symbol is the winged sword shoulder pad from the old ravenwing. To show you how crazy I am I have around 1200 of those pads and 150 of the terminator one, I had slowly begun to green stuff the sword back from the broken sword.

We should have a game - how big is your pile of plastic crack - Theophony is way in the lead, I get nowhere near, although I do have half a tonne of metal figures in a fishing box and unpainted AoBR & Space Hulk figures (my last GW direct purchases)

Everything I buy now is either eBay, Wayland Games (got my Stormtalon from them last year) or independent manufacturers like Hasslefree or Heresy... Oh and I scratchbuild stuff as well

but i have quite a big amount of guard related stuff flying around...and orks...and marines ...overall at least around thirty termies...for me...that is feeling a lot^^

half a tonne might have been an exaggeration - but it is quite a weighty collection I went through a phase of buying a selling old models, especially RT ones. Still have a load of the original Space Orks, some Marines and the classic Space Skeleton and Space Santa kicking around somewhere. On top of that is a load of IG - the original style metal Cadians and lots of IG Rambo's...

The sad thing is that at one point or another I had every 40k army, and most fantasy armies. Sold, traded gave away a gak ton of them. I don't even look at my metal models, although I may strip them and bring them back into the fold.

I hit the mother load last year when I bought the ravenwing upgrade sprues from one ebayer for $3.00 each, got my shoulder pads and some other bitz off of them, then resold the rest of the sprue for $10.00 each to another ebayer. I made $500.00 in one week, nd got my boulder pads for my chapter.

If anyone wants the winged skull pads let me know, I'll hook you up.

Vik's like a hotel manager here. He has a nice place we'll all visit from time to time, but no one pays.
