I really like your props Vik! so props!
Everyone goes sniper. Because everyone is afraid of a good old fashion sledge hammer vs shot gun fight.
However on my first play through I am doing the story line, I am siding with the super mutants and the bear people running around and doing missions and stuff.
Then I run into Ceaser's legion and I am like "ok." I talk it up with their recruiter, and get the mini deal to kill someone. I stop, look at him, look at the victim. Nah. Pull out my ripper and chop up the Legion dude. Loot him. Get his retinue all come at me. A hacking mess and dead ripper later I go back on my way traveling the lands. I end up at the main legions base deal. I start going at the guards with swords and hammers laughing the entire time.
Then a leaderish type guard engages me. I laugh as his blood will be spilled. But no. Character chat, my only option is to surrender.. Sorry couldn't hear you over the sound of my power armor and weapons.. never the less I am caught *rolls eyes*.
Brought before the big guy himself we chat. He wants to give me a mission... WHAT?! i killed like a 100 guys outside.
I happily decline, knowing it means my death. Leave chat everyone gets mad ready to kill me, open pip boy->weapons. Ha I have a shaving razor. Equip the weapon.. (I used this razor when I just started to kill a death claw so I kept it for sentimental reasons. Like shaving it for later.)
*insert generic warcry of hopelessness -> I yelled thundercats ho. As a black man with orange hair and eyes would.*
I scored a critical on Ceaser, his head flies through the air, instant loot using head (because in that game any limb has all the gear)
Ceaser had some kind of uber powerful distort power fist. As all my stats are melee set i giggle. Kill the honor guard walk outside tent. Get my old gear. Ceaser's legion is no more.
Back to main story missions. Bear people still complain about Ceaser's legion (What they are all dead....and the leader...)
I might just like mass slaughter because you can't have slaughter without laughter.

exactly like me... i always look forward to get me my frst sniper gun and then i start the killing spree and stay happy ever after^^... of course going all snipery sucks when you have to fight in clese quarters.... recently i had to fight against the first nightkin and it was a tough learning curve for me... i died a great many times till i choose the sawed off shotgun i had and made quite good carcasses out of them
That's what shotguns are for...
I always carry a selection of weapons for every occasion. Don't know why, because I hardly use some of them.
Usually, one handgun, one ccw (The Shishkebab or chainsaw are probably my favourites), a sub-machine gun, a rifle (I think the Hunting rifle was a favourite), a shotgun, an assault rife/machine gun, a sniper rifle (The Ratslayer was nice in addition to the usual big sniper rifle) and a big gun of some kind...

I personally was sold on the Gobi desert rifle, it has the desert camo scheme and is a good weapon, then I found at Big MT Christine's silenced sniper rifle,,,,OHhhhhhhohohohohohoho! no one knows whewre the shot came from, and the crits!!!
Of course every now and then a good slug fest is nice, just not with the venomous beasts

Oh yeah, I'll generally pick up anything worth anything to sell and repair with. But that's my standard, minimum, loadout.
It's my cunning plan to be able to carry as much other stuff as possible (there's never enough space ).
Then I get somewhere to "live" and the hoarding begins...
Yeah, it's really hard to decide what ammo to keep and which to leave...

Mounted Kroot Tracker
|
Ahoy matey! so ive resurfaced after my usual 2 month hiatus. im able to maintain several weeks worth of blogging interest while on the east coast, until life goes back to full throttle music. Ill be returning to la in a few weeks and that means more painting of kroot from me. To get my dakka chops back together, one of my first stops is the wonderful world of vik von doom! Its almost impossible to keep track of whats going on here when you take copius amounts of time off like i do, but from what it seems, the scratchbuilt landing pad tank is this months fantastic project. Your creativity is never ending sir, and in fact, this tank reminds me of one of the many wacky tank concepts that were implemented in that old rts game, total annhilation. I believe that there was a tank that had a refueling heli pad on it so it could accompany huge droves of tanks and planes that would land on the tankpad as you moved across the map. quite entertaining. anyways i trust all is well, and happy summer!

Oh, panda. I did, very similar to you in Ceasar's camp, except the majority of the guards were killed with a shotgun in the main passageway, the stragglers with the chainsaw (sneak up behind them, then chainsaw up the rear) and then stepped into Ceasar's tent, Immediately VATS Ceasar himself and gun him down with the Minigun, before finishing off his guard.

Any area of hills between roads usually holds a Cazador nest. I usually go with a melee friend like Rex or Tabitha to tank them, since they get all poison removed after a kill unlike me. Also Vik, I'd at least get the Gun Runner's DLC, it adds a Megaton (pun intended) of new guns to the game.

might just like mass slaughter because you can't have slaughter without laughter.
i am totaly with you... sometimes i have to add tho that the slaughter fests are rather gutwrenching... i am really feeling the tension of the fight... somehow the game oozes so much athosphere into the real world that i am seldom able to laugh^^... but i liked your story... read it just now and took notes for later on... but your essentially the same gamer like me... i steal but i wont stand for slavery and other objectionable behavior... so npc´s of that creed get the bullet instantly... no argueing and no remorse for me^^... i killed and stealed my way through the whole slaver camp in the FO3 game too... never had a conversation with these...

no fear mate... in fact i had the same thought quite often too... and you would need to look to FO3 for inspiration theo...:
that would be fitting... but... it would then have a base that would drag
the whole building with the airship? hilarious?

i think it is inevitable^^... gonna have to see what it will cost me... the game is definatly worth to play anew so many times^^
my son has sidetracked me with a assignment, he started with a wooden tank he built at school... and now he and some of his friends want to play a wooden war scenrio ... thus he needs army men and more tanks... so new tanks have to be built... i will show you later on what we have been up to... stay tuned^^

they were that lifelike?... and i bet out of love and pressure from society you were afraid to tell her...
my lil son oskar should have stayed overnight in his kindergarden... it was some kind of experimental thing... a sleep over party there... everybody, including him was so exited about it... then the big day came, we all met and had a small feast there too.. and when we were about to leave him there with all his mates and the nursery teacher he wanted to go home with us... i try to encourage this train of thought... all too lightly we act upon the will or the imagined will of others... i was rather glad he didn´t want to sleep there the night... i am quite tense to let my kids sleep somewhere else... i think i am a bit clinging...^^

you are of course right...but well...you know... being a father.. it makes you kind of unrealistic every now and then... and he IS the pet of the family... he is sweet and honest and in some respects so much unlike his brother... (that lil joker is out for mischief each day, and we love him for that^^) so parting just for one night is atm still more than i can muster up the courage... and i didn´t even press the point here... he even made a small papery thingy for us to remember him by so that we have a lil token of him...ain´t that sweet?

I am we'll versed in how a date night turns into a threesome (and not in a good way), when one of the kids decide they are not going to go along with the plan. My son is wanting to have a sleep over, but he is shy about making new friends, and we are moving them all to a new school for next year. The middle school we are getting them into has ranked the one of the best each of the previous years, and all the kids will be using iPads or laptops in class, something there last school didn't have. Every classroom is state of the art with whiteboards and the like.

Gargantuan Great Squiggoth
|
In the fourteen years since my eldest was born, my wife and I have not had a single night without a child at home. Never even had an evening out without them. And it's even worse letting go at all with the youngest.
On other news.... nice work on the props, love them. Now get them stuck on and mounted dude...
