well now i am sitting in front of my own PC and this one has no auto correction...

so just the usual typos with me^^

and i was looking for ELDAR control panels... so controlpanels of eldar weaponplatforms or of their vehicles and such stuff...

my own google fu left me empty handed...and i want to create a control panel to complete this build here:

so... my one entry is an eldar energy thingy...with glow effect...:

First the ingridients... as per regulations it must come with a CD as a base...
an old copied version of the first Hitman game... and a tissue..

then cover the CD with PVA and wrap the tissue around it so to have a covered CD that never lets loose of the tissue again...cover everything with watered down PVA... let it dry...



then to the glowy stuff and the main ingridients of the terrain piece...i took an old illumiated picture holder... added gemstones i have in abundace to the body...



and what you currently cant see in preperation is an old clear plastic egg i got from a fleamarket... i scribbled some lines inside...and then roughed up the inner surface with a dremel tool... now it has an almost flowery or crystal like look to it... added a wash of puple wash to it... done!...
then i added four lego bricks of a nice shape and inserted tooth picks into them... gloed them also to the body...done...

the still unprimed WIP is here:





next... add a carboard control panel to the back...

I can show some stuff from... just about nothing mate.. haha I glued all my canpoys shut on my tanks. honestly though it looks like a bunch of screens. There is a few buttons to the left and right, and screens and some other doohickeys never explained surrounding that.

Blimey Vik, you came out of the trap running... Good start.

As for control panels, maybe you could make holographic controls (as seen in halo for example). Use clear OHP acetate flim and either print on the display or draw/paint it on (I've tried this on both my war walker and inside my WS). Not easy to get them to look right though.

and the thin clear plastic sheets that you can write on (or sometimes they can go through a computer printer)?

ah yeah of course... silly me... somehow the OHP didn´t light enough bulbs inside my skull^^... we have also lamination foil/bags that i could use for that... hmmm.... we also have colored transparent paper... that could be interesting!... thanks mate!

welcome to the circus jehan-reznor!...and we try to not think so often about ponies....... but yeah... we take the pony gem lamp and make it grim dark...and after that it gets an eldar treatment and is fir for ponies again

i finished the console... tomorrow there will be some pics ... before priming...

Wow... here I am trying to think up of ways to do some Eldar terrain to give them something nice to have in the background for pics, and you so effortlessly seem to throw some stuff together and it works perfectly.

Viks been quiet....too quiet, usually means were about to get a big unveil. Eagerly awaiting more blimp action, where's the little ork emoticon doing a happy dance again?

no airship action i am afraid... i needed a bit of fresh wind at my work desk thus i am now a bit tangled up in the competition works...

i want to show you what i have done for the control panel...

and also anounce that i have not only primed but already started to aply the first coats of basecoats to the model...

plan was to make the crystals and the egg both in puple... and thus i need a good looking color to match the purple... i think i want a rather cold looking scheme to look good on a snowy base...

your ideas?

well, fist of course the pics^^







note...the red looking gem fell off yesterday before priming... i do this in the cellar and had no glue with me... so it got glued on again after priming... i think it will work anyway^^

Looking god Vik! I like the use of those cheap Gems. I have often thought about using them as rivets..but alien rivets, now that's innovation!

Control panel looks good in a very eldary way , not to be confused with elderly way , but it does make me want to convert a wraith lord using a walker with tennis balls on the feet .
