Yes but you might find the other side of your roof is leaking now, where did you think he got the tiles from so quickly and such a perfect match

Lol...I see why, but I assure you its all still the firecracker wood I use through and through the whole built...but the whole wood got sharpened to a point by a pencil sharper...I still have blisters on my fingers after the 150 pieces that needed to be sharpened...

Blisters? Just blisters, and no blood? That's not going to be enough...

Looking great so far, seems it's going to be sturdy enough to withstand some serious charges!

On the furniture, though it looks good, maybe the legs for the beds are too thick? Got any smaller sized firework studs left maybe? Or wooden skewers instead for those?

you have aching fingers, but is that enough for the people? no...they want to see blood...the youth of today...

I think I need to redesign the beds...what do you think about those chairs?...in scale enough?

and indeed...that house and the walls are built to withstand

Thanks, that really made my day!

(The youth comment, in case you were wondering!)

Chairs look fine - right one OK, left one, slightly crooked leg, post-bar fight maybe? - and properly sized.

As for the extra mile on the fence - besides bobby-traps, great suggestion there, I'd really like to see your take on those -, perhaps barbed wire on top? And rusted wire should contrast well with the weathered wood when painting as well...

well...youth is a state of mind, eh?

a lil crooked furniture for the all purpose minded empire is something I never thought as too bad ...they´re always eager on saving up a penny for future amo^^

I know there are some tuts out there to make your own barbed wire...but I dunno if I have time for that... it is one of the topmost time expensive things to make on your own......but I agree...it is something that raises the value of any model quite a bit...

Hardly tougher than hand sharpening those logs!

Please excuse the self-quoting:

I've used the copper wires from networking or coms cables with decent results; AWG 24 gauge wire has a .51 mm diameter after stripping the insulation (Although the same or very similar to the one you used, from the look of the pics, so still too thick maybe for what you are looking for this time).

Spoiler:

Single copper threads from an electrical stranded wire are thinner than that, and would probably be a better fit scale-wise.

For twisting the wire for the main double strand, a cordless power drill works great.

Lastly, I also made the barbs from a single, uncut piece of wire (Three turns around the main wire, a short "open" loop until the next barb, three thigh loops around the core wire again and so on), and then cut out the loops/trimmed the barbs to the desired length.

(This way you'd waste more material -and probably spread cuts of wire all around the place; wearing proper eye protection is recommended, those bits tend to fly around-, but work much faster than using a single short length for each barb).

Power-drill twisting and single thread winding the barbs makes it a rather swift job, and, as you said, highly effective model-wise.

ah...thanks...yes, that barb wire looks very good...and the ingredients/materials I do have for sure enough...hmmm...I need to see if time allows...

also...I didn´t sharpen the logs by hand... I cheated:

Vik, do you still have some of tha mesh passed your way. If so, cut with scissors, just one strand off the edge and twist around a fence post. Instant barbwire.

Or what he said.

Also numb fingers, not even using a manual sharpener!!!! Not sure you get any extra credit.

Wooden pallisade fort house fence! LOL. Vik and wood working are becoming a norm needs rivets to hold the fence together.

Do I at least get some credit for using your mentioned method? That's a very cool one...

BTW I am sorry, I forgot your furniture earlier. Definitely along the lines of what I personally was thinking, you have mentioned the difficulties of scaling and I am sure you will get it right. They are pretty much what I was talking about. I hope you feel they fit! I think the chairs are spot on, The bunks uprights are the only thing bothering me.

Brilliant work as always master, I am looking forward to our next instalment.
