The living bumper sticker rules! GW used to make snotlings that were flipping the bird. They rode on the old snotling pump wagon. Good times.

Somehow it looks front heavy, like it might tip forward? But it's 'orcy' so of course it will work.

How fast did you build that? I must see it painted now. Too cool.

well....could be that I start with showing off.......I thought the lil bumper fella was needed... imperial stuff can be sufficient all in itself without the showing of lil men inside... but grots always need that personal touch...right?... wouldn´t be the same all enclosed and clean^^...
also... boy... I had to clean up my desk today... all those chips for making the weathered orky look on all the plates... sheesh... that is what takes up the most part when making orky stuff....

Theophony wrote:The living bumper sticker is the grot out the back hatch waving hello to the other saying "how's my driving?"

yeah... I think I ´ve stumbled in this on my own^^

how fast... two days worth of work...not real time... but hobby time... it was a VERRRY fast build for my own building history...and you´re right... the build is a bit "tipsy" and I am currently already working on something new.... I am more of a builder than a painter... I see that each time I have completed a build....

cant tell which console of Atari I had back then... but I played back then different games... my mum was dead against anything shooty.... but I bet the lil green men inside would hoot and scream in joy when this would happen
and it might have indeed an overdose of rivets.... heresy!!!^^

inmygravenimage wrote:Big manly man hugs. Also, in the grot tank you have found your true calling!

honestly... making green hide stuff is very liberating... nothing is forbidden... everything is possible... every shape and you are free to build each new one in a totally different way... so you can develop the "wheel" each time anew....
and thanks mate!

sorry for the slightly blurry and upturned pics....

the track wheels were made from the intestines of cassette tapes...should look nice when painted...

the idea is to make these tracks to be used for a grot variant of the half track truck...
I think I will need to orky up the treads tho... they´re way too clean looking still...

You almost have me switching to grots Vik. I was showing my brother in law your blog and I had an idea for a grot speed freak crew.

Fantastic work. Funny because I am using the inner of a vhs cassette also. This is going to be awesome.

As toclean tracks, well yes, but a careful addition of some rivets and very careful addition of my patented dribble of superglue and sprinkle with bicarbonate of soda, adds rusty corrosion. Ten miutes and you are golden, well actually rust, but you know what I mean.

Not that you need advise from me on modelling, these last few are looking truly amazing. For a second I thought you had bought in that grot tank, then closer look and WOW fantastic.

Showing us again, why we consider you the master. (Not just cus your OLD!!)

well....time for a little show off, eh?

the half track construction today went a bit further one could say...

and LDD, its music cassette tapes... I wish I still had some video tapes around... there is good plastic and details on them for sure

and cam...I thought for the tracks if this is an orky one...then some snips and odd ends to add to make them less smooth looking...adding a bit of profile...

also...for this build...it kinda developed itself on its own... now I am not too sure if this should be too an imp one...your thoughts?

Send a few cassette wheels to Cam so he can make molds and cast them. They are quite fitting for the piece too. Nice idea. Too bad cassettes are obsolete. (Well, not too too bad, given the sound quality.)

Which 'grumpy'?
mürrisch
grantig
brummig
knurrig
muffig
griesgrämig
muffelig
reizbar

Wow, Germans have a lot of words for grumpy. Or so says Mr Google.

I suspect an image search for 'open topped tracked vehicle' will yield plenty of inspiration for the next steps. Or try 'arctic tracked vehicle'. There are some interesting things there that could easily become open topped.

And stop working so fast, junger Mann. You guys are going to give me a stroke or something trying to keep up.

that is a rather interesting idea... casting old world tech to be used for the hobby....

and well...I would settle for a mix of these:

mürrisch, grantig, griesgrämig and reizbar...

quite often I am a black and white person... people I don´t like know that I don´t like them quite clear...and people I like I am very loyal towards... but I tend to be not able to change my mind about people that have gotten on the bad side of my book (similar to the one of santa... one for the naughty ones and one for the good ones)

german is all in all a language with many words for a similar meaning...for me English helps my own efforts with a less colourful vocabulary (mind you, standard English only... when you get down to slang and so on you are out of everyones depth )

that artic tracked vehicle idea is something I indeed have been bottling up too... there is a phenotype that is curiosly not represented that way in the 40k universe???! weird... but about to be changed^^

at cam...so you think I should devote this truck for the green tide...challenge accepted^^

New vehicle looking excellent vik. I also would love a half track with skis. I have the old GIJoe snowcat somewhere in the basement which was that exactly.

As for the whole trusting and judging people thing, I think we're are very similar in that regard. I trust people initially, but as soon as they earn my wrath.....well then they are . Others who are on my good side, especially longtime friends I will do almost anything for.
