Granted that the nationality thing is purely cosmetic then it doesn't affect the gameplay, its more for authenticity than anything. Given I created me and my group I wanted them to be as close to themselves as possible. Having my character run around with a Chinese flag was not what I would call authentic. I also only used the mod to set classes for 4 people, only to designate roles that I thought would fit with the person I named, I know for a fact my best mate would not be running around trying to heal people, he would want the biggest gun possible. Once again its an authentic thing. Once I have a bit of fun with this squad I do plan on doing an Ironman play through where everything is set to "default".

I agree with Manchu, the whole point of the game is working with what you got. Figuring out solutions to the problems presented. Anyway the authenticity you are speaking of isn't one of a real world nature but rather one of trying to recreate your friends.

@Manchu. To me games with a score of less than 5/10 are ones that actually have technical problems and bugs. Games that are actually broken. So a 5.0 game could be a game that is actually horrible but works properly.

I prefer a x/5 system anyway. On that scale a 3/5 game is actually pretty good.

Krieg in Borderlands 2 is much more fun than I would have thought.

Seems to be a bona fide tank if you play right and his special is crazy fun.

Salvador seems to be tankly, but this guy. . .maybe its not playing with my 61 siren making things seem comically easy as its still the first run.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

I only ever played the 1st one of that game, but it was awesome fun!

Just been playing 'FTL' (faster than light). Really fun indy game - you pilot a starship through space, and have random events each time you play - come across a ship stranded in space, do you help it or shoot it? A colony being overwhelmed by giant spider creatures - do you risk teleporting your crew down to help, and possibly lose some of them (even though you may get a reward?) Really, really fun, I've died every time I've played it but that doesn't take anything away from it.

As of right now I'm knee deep in Neverwinter. Not Neverwinter nights but rather the new MMO titled "Neverwinter" which is in Open Beta right now. Don't be fooled by Open Beta though, the game is live and there will be no more character wipes going forward, and to be quite honest the game is finished IMO. Perfect World Entertainment has a history of doing "Soft Launches" which are called open beta...but the game is done and is really quite awesome!

Neverwinter is also a "Free to Play" game. No charge to download the game and no subscription required, and it is quite easy to stay free too unless you want the latest and greatest Mount, or Pet etc... To me the graphics and physics are just great, better than a lot of non MMO's and to me better than almost any MMO I've played. Also, the combat mechanics are quite unique and not the typical "Target/Tab/Spam" method. Positional fighting is the word of the day, and is very engaging.

I've been quite burned out on MMO's for some time now, but Neverwinter has me hooked again. I recommend it highly and since it's free there is no risk to give it a shot.

Just Started playing the first Torchlight.
A funny story about that: I had already played Torchlight 2 a little bit, and LOVED it. But it stopped working on the computer it was on. (We have 2 computers) So I went a and bought on the other one, which is a better gaming computer. Well as it turned out, I (not paying a whole lot of attention) bought the ORIGINAL ONE by mistake. I still like it but not as much as the second one. Oh well...

Did they ever re-balance the Alchemist in the game? I remember playing it on the 360 and all you had to do was have a herd of summoned creatures and a decent gun

Wait... You went to buy a second copy of the game... for a second computer? You know, I dont' think I've ever heard of any sort of game buying system or DRM that doesn't have a way for you to put the same 'copy' of the game on multiple computers...

Borderlands 2.

A friend of mine wanted to start a new game with new characters; and to lure me back actually paid for "Krieg the Psycho" character as it 'screamed your playstyle'.

To be fair he was absolutely right. There is something so satisfying about playing a raving madman hurling axes with dynamite strapped to them at people.

I downloaded Torchlight 2 one one computer, but I couldn't figure out how to transfer the game. So I bought it on the other one, but I bought the wrong one.

Replaying Fallout: New Vegas. After having just replayed Fallout 3 I can say that it outshines 3 by far. New Vegas feels as though there's just so much more to it, rather than only having content where there's quest important things. That the game's written by people that know that a plot doesn't have to be black and white too is pretty refreshing after 3 too. ...Where even though you may get a little karma ping for doing something, that's not to say that one good deed's not going to lead to bad things in the long run... =P

Borrowed Metroid: Other M from my brother...and needless to say, I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it. I stopped playing after about two and a half hours. My main gripe being the controls and the way you replinish health and missiles. After that, I went on to Metroid Prime 3 for a second play-through

Think your late to the party? I only just picked up Borderlands. It didn't appeal to me but for £2.50 I thought I might aswell try it.

Been playing a fair bit of Black Ops 2 online, I have no idea why but I'm loving my return to FPS games. That and I am getting better at it

Black Ops 2 is what killed FPS for me. I'm cautiously skeptical about Ghosts, hoping they're moving somewhat away from the spray and pray style of deathmatch that became so prevalent. Borderlands is a decent fix for my FPS needs though, and it appeals to my love of RPG's as well.

What killed me about the Ghosts trailer is that it looks sooooo dated. I was really hoping for a new game engine with this one...Other than that, sounds neat I suppose...

I must admit after MW3 I am quite Skeptical about Ghosts as well, I may pick it up on Steam if/when it goes on sale.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty much hooked into buying the CoD yearly, even if nothing changes, there is hope though XD

Saying that Black Ops 2 did try something new with the different endings based on various actions during the story which I liked.

Between guild wars and other single player games.

Bio shock infinite was stunning and one of the first games I have played that eye infinity works perfectly on. The only issue was the ending. Complete head bake. And was very well bland.

Also I loved the new tomb raider. Worked very well. And even though they took the play style from uncharted it worked brilliantly. And it didn't look like a typical console port either they actually bothered to up the graphics for the pc.

Modern Warfare 2 knocked my enthusiasm for some FPS, but it really put me off the Call of Duty series. I seen the reveal for Ghosts, and all I could think of was how many of their brand new features are old hat for some games (corner leaning and customisation in particular - hello Rainbow 6 )

I really didn't care for COD:BO2. Seems like each iteration in the series is trying to out do the last in gratuitous violence. This one featured a young girl being burned alive.

I think ever since the nuke scene in Modern Warfare they've been trying to get the "OMG!!!" moment in every single one.
